The owner is fun and knowledgeable and has great tastes in many things. Single-origin dark chocolates, raw and vegan goodies including food and cosmetic products, soaps made by Japanese Rastafarians (I know!), scarves and sarongs made from recycled saris, olive oils from the deserts of the middle east, wine perfumed candles, beautifully made glassware made from recycled glass, just to name a few. It's one of those places where you feel good shopping at, know where your things are made, and know that the workers were treated fairly and that the products were made without the use of any indentured servants or slaves (which unfortunately exists more often than we think). The best thing is that the prices are great! I am so used to going to such fair-trade, sustainable, eco/green stores in bigger cities such as Chicago and San Francisco and the prices being marked up too high, but at this place, I could actually afford things I liked without breaking the bank. She also participates in First Friday events and I think from what I remember, there will be wine tasting happening sometime soon.

I opted to have my grandma's Jell-O cake recipe printed on it and it was beautiful! Fast forward 2 years. I was moving things around in my kitchen, and I realized that there was a spelling error on the cutting board. I contacted the ladies, and asked how much it would be to get it replaced, and they offered to replace it, and deliver it, at no charge! Today, I got the new cutting board. But I didn't get just one, I got two! There is the tiniest little scratch on one of the cutting boards, and she didn't want to give it to me like that, so she made a third one. No spelling mistakes, no scratches. Absolutely perfect! Honestly, they all look great, but I appreciate the attention to detail! These ladies are so beyond kind, and their products are so gorgeous, that I just cannot hype them up enough! As I mentioned, it was right after my grandmother had died, and I cried when I got the first cutting board. Talking to her today, I had chills and got emotional all over again. She also let me keep the bag that one of the boards was in, (something that they also make).
