I had my first set of extensions put in by Carl earlier this year in September. I was planning a trip to Vegas and it was a treat to myself to make sure I was looking a million dollars for the holiday - but I will now never live without them. My hair isn't exactly fine, but I just don't have a lot of it so I was quite nervous about getting extensions as I was scared they would look unnatural. On my consultation Carl asked me lots of questions about the look I wanted to achieve and about my lifestyle, at this point I could tell he knew what he was talking about. His knowledge and experience shines through when you speak to him and this instantly put me at ease. The extensions I went for were the Russian hair, the hair is so soft and really lasts if you look after it. These were applied using "cold fusion" technology. This technology is so much kinder to your hair than many others as there is no heat or glue involved. It took a few hours for the extensions to be applied but Carl took this opportunity to give me plenty of tips on looking after my hair. He even provides aftercare products included in the price to help you maintain the hair. I'm so happy with the results. The extensions are comfy and feel like my own hair, they are really thick and long and I am forever getting compliments on my hair from others (no one ever believes it's extensions when I tell them are they are so natural looking and the colour match is perfect). As I said at the beginning, I will never live without them, and I won't have to as Carl provides an affordable service, where some others charge double for half the quality. I have had extensions for the last three years now at a local salon and they cost me a fortune!!!!. I had bonded extensions. I recently browsed the web and came across Carl's website and contacted him. Well what can I say about Carl nothing was a trouble to him.. He explained to me about micro-rings extensions and the disadvantages of bonded extensions although Carl did give me the option of 'what ever suits me'. I chose to have 3/4 of a head micro-ring extensions and they are fantastic!! easy to maintain, dont hurt my scalp.. Carl puts everything into his hairdressing, he cut and layered my extensions and they feel so lightweight and natural. Huge thank you Carl!! My new founded hairdresser. My daughter told me about Carl and at the same time I had my hair coloured, cut and blown .. I had a yellow tinge in my hair and couldn't remove it. Carl explained to me about tints and gave me advice on how to remove the yellow. Nothing was a trouble to him although he had to spend alot of time to get the colour right. In December 2011 Carl came to my friend's house to style my hair prior to a christmas party . My hair looked so so lovely that I booked him in the next month to highlight my hair. My hair is naturally brunette but highlighed blonde and quite difficult to get right. Carl has been my hairdresser for nearly a year now and I can't speak highly enough of him. My hair has genuinely never looked better and people have said this to me now several times, commenting on how healthy and shiny it is. Even my boyfriend, a Toni & Guy regular, ditched it and decided to use Carl. Even he has had comments from people saying his hair looks its best! I have never been able to find a hairdresser where I was 'happy' when I walked out. I am sure it is the case for most people. I had grown my hair long at university and for the last 4 years I have tried a number of hairdressers in trying to find a style where it can be managed. My hair is very thin and goes very straight and hairdressers have tried to layer it many times to make it sit right. Some have come close but never succeeded as after a week it would become a mess again, even a few weeks later with Carl's cut it is still great where previous cuts have looked lifeless and unmanageable. I definitely recommend to people who want a hairdresser where you want to explain what you want, especially if other hairdressers have been unable to achieve anything close to what you want. He was also able to cut my hair in under 15 minutes where it has taken at least 30 minutes when going to a salon. Great price for a men's cut as well. read more

I have been to a number of hairdressers since coming to the UK and none could manage to get my hair just right. I had never been able to grow it long because it is very thin and I was afraid to try extensions thinking my hair would not be strong enough. However I came across Carl's website and as he was local and had such good reviews I decided to give it a shot. I called Carl and discussed how I had always wanted long hair but didn't know if I could have extensions. He discussed all my options on the phone and provided such a great help in ensuring I got what I wanted so that when he came to do my hair it was an easy process, my extensions and highlights looked amazing, and when I made a major mistake and ended up having to replace some of the extensions; he was able to fit me in to replace them (and add more ;) ). When I first hired Carl it was for an unusual hair cut, which I wanted done in the privacy of my own home. I wear a "hair system", which is like a high-tech toupee which is bonded to my hair using tape and glue for a month at a time. When I get a new hair system, they're like a 6-inch-long mop of hair, and it needs to be merged into my natural hair. Carl's experience with hair extensions and styling allowed him to cut this unusual mixture of the system's long hair and my own shorter (but growing) hair into one seamless whole, which looks great. Unless I tell them, nobody knows or can tell that some of my hair isn't actually mine, and that's the way it should be. Carl's also friendly, easy to talk to and professional. I have always wanted long hair, ever since I was in my teens, but with my very fine hair I could never get it to grow long, and when it did grow longer it would look scraggly and even thinner than when it was short. So, I started investigating hair extensions. After doing a lot of research online, and seeing a huge variety of options for extensions and pricing I was unsure where to go. I hired Carl last Saturday for a hair straightening. My hair is curly and always terribly frizzy. When I get my hair straightened usually it doesn't last more than two days without maintenance, after a couple of days I am always forced to straighten my hair on my own to make it last a bit more or wash it, so when Carl came I wasn't expecting what I got: today it's Tuesday, it has been raining for two days, and my hair is still perfect with zero maintenance done on my part!!! I am really happy! And Carl is a very easy-going person, made me feel at perfect ease, dedicated plenty of time and care to my hair, and has got a gentle touch that makes you feel relaxed. After weeks of phoning hairdressers around Manchester and being unable to find one that could fit both me and my boyfriend in for a cut on Saturday, I googled 'mobile hairdressers'. Carl was the first to appear on the list and I'm so happy. He is friendly, professional and really listened to what we both wanted. My boyfriend has extremely thick hair and not a lot of hairdressers make a good job of it, but for once he was extremely happy with the result!
