Their condition has improved, and for this we are eternally grateful. All went as planned and the staff did an amazing job of keeping us updated throughout the process. The only downside is that we were given detailed instructions regarding aftercare, but then they forgot to give us the equipment needed to stick to those instructions. Once we realized, we got in touch with them and had to return to collect those items. Easy fix, but a little inconvenient. The staff all seemed very caring and attentive, genuinely.

But if they're going to take care of veterans they need to remember that veterans come in many forms. Not just old, straight, white people. Every once in a while you'll get a really nice nurse but that's as far as it goes. Honestly if I already didn't have established care here I'd drive the 2 hours it takes to get to the Chicago VA but I can't even say if that place is any better. Anyway, if you have to go here, be prepared to deal with bigots who will just brush you off.
