This park is still one of my favorites. It has two sides to it- the beach side and the west side, divided by A1A Beach road. The beach here is wonderful. Free parking, lots of pavilions with roofs and tables and benches. I try to park on the northernmost side in front of the softball fields. Then my kids can exit and play on the lawn while i get all the stuff from the car. They do need more than 1 shower! The West side has a walking trail, tennis courts, more than 1 playground, more pavilions, an amphitheater, a nature preserve of scrub. One of my favorite places is the Southernmost part of this side, where there are a couple rows of parking with lots of shade and trees, another bathroom with showers, a path right across the road directly to the beach (and an easy walk to the next beach entrance where dogs are allowed!), little covered picnic tables in a peaceful area, a nice ocean breeze, and a brand new playground with a huge climbing structure, adjacent to a rentable huge covered picnic area ( a great birthday party spot for kids due to the playground, adjacent parking, etc.) read more

If you're going to play pickle ball and expect that the paddle system is gonna work, it's a waste of time cause there are some full of themselves people that play here and your paddle could be sitting in there for 30 minutes and someone will come and keep just taking other paddles out ...really totally chaotic and we all left and went home read more

It was a beautiful hot winter Sunday and there was not any available parking along Jupiter Beach. Instead, we found parking at Carlin Park which was North of the Jupiter Beach area. The park was named after Charles Carlin in 1966, who was keeper of the U.S. lifesaving station from 1885-89 at Jupiter Inlet which is now the site of the permanently closed Loggerhead restaurant. The Park offers Beachfront recreation, picnic area, swimming, playgrounds, tennis courts & an amphitheater. The beach area has active lifeguards which is a benefit for families with young wandering children. Although the Park has many wonderful available activities, a physical appearance upgrade would be worthwhile along with a renovated beachside eatery. read more

This is a really great location with a large parking lot and easy access to the beach. It also seems to have a small restaurant type business but I am never here. Later in the day. I just come for walks in the morning on the beach, and I love it because there are no dogs running around rubbing up against you with their wet fur or biting at you. (If you want a dog beach, just go farther south.) This spot has lots of places to rinse off your feet before you get in your car. It also has buckets so you can pick up trash while you walk the beach. It's very well laid out. There are lots of pavilions and tiki huts and picnic benches all over, and I know you can reserve the larger ones but the smaller ones are first come first serve. There are also some grills and areas for gathering. It's a really nice place in the community. It does need a little upkeep, but overall it is well enough maintained. read more

there is a body of water right next to the running/walking trail. I'm amazed that so many people aren't aware of the signs that says Aalligators in water. people are allowing their dogs to walk right next to the water as well as allowing their dogs in the water. I'm shock that so many people lack common sense. read more

We ended up at Carlin Park unexpectedly after discovering the Dubois lot was full. This was definitely a great unplanned afternoon at the beach. Parking wasn't a nightmare. In fact, we scored a prime spot over near the Loggerhead Cafe. It's a bit of a walk, but not excruciating. The beach was very clean. Moreover, there's a bucket station at the beginning of the boardwalk for volunteers to assist with maintaining a clean beach. The ocean was relatively calm on our visit which made for a great day in the water. There are a lot of shells at this beach for those who enjoy collecting. Everyone was extremely respectful of social distancing at this location. I will definitely visit this beach again! read more

Carlin Park is a 120. 31 acre beachfront park in Jupiter.The park is named for Captain Charles Carlin who arrived to the Jupiter Inlet from England. He started out as the assistant lighthouse keeper at the Jupiter Lighthouse before becoming the keeper of the U. S. Lifesaving Station (1885-1889). The station once stood where Duke's Lazy Day Loggerhead Restaurant now resides. The purpose of the station was to assist ship wreck victims in the sparsely populated area. Carlin built the first private residence in Jupiter which he turned into a hotel called the Carlin House. The county named the park after him in 1966. There is a historical marker noting location of the former Lifesaving Station. Although this park is historically significant and has a great restaurant, the main reason people come here is for the 3,000 feet of beach with a guarded swimming area. Other park amenities include salt water fishing (not in the swim area), 2 bocce courts, 20 station exercise course,picnic tables with grills, picnic pavilions, bicycle trails, a playground, restrooms, showers, sand volleyball court, baseball field, and tennis courts. There is so much to do here, you can play sports, exercise, cook out, eat at the restaurant, or just relax on the beach. There is even the Seabreeze Amphitheater that holds events like Shakespeare by the Sea and free concerts. Carlin Park is a beach, it's a park, and it is some of the best inexpensive fun you can have in Jupiter. read more

The city of Jupiter really knows how to have beautiful parks and beaches. I was amazed how much we had to walk to get to the ocean. Parking is easy they open up at 7 am and close at 7:30 pm. Bathrooms are clean and this is good. Come visit Jupiter you won't regret it. read more

Carlin Park Is a place you can enjoy yourself all day. It has not only a gorgeous life guarded beach, it is also a 120 acre park with all amenities you would love. Next to the beach are pavillions where you can have a pinic, grill your food or have lunch at the lazy loggerhead. It is amazing for a date, for families, and for sports enthusiast and performance enthusiast too. There is a waking and heart fillness trail with 20 exercises, a bicycle trails, a playground, sand volleyball court, baseball field, and tennis courts and a natural preserve. Carlin Park is always clean and convenient. There's plenty of picnic areas on both sides of A1A. If you're having a party be sure to book well in advance with the Town of Jupiter. Nice place for the kids too as they have swings and a playground, and the playground is fenced and has artificial turf helping with the safety factor. Best part about this park is they have the Lazy Loggerhead Cafe located inside the park facilities. There's plenty of reviews on that as well. It's great! They do breakfast and lunch only. Review for 'Paws in the Park' 2017 event that took place earlier in October. Event was sponsored by WIRK country station, 97.9 and a few other stations, but yet 0 stations were there? 0 stations had an area playing music. Kinda pointless if you ask me. Just based on the size of the event, it was pretty small. Local vendors selling items or dog info, an agility course, running course and an area where you throw a ball and the dog jumps into a huge pool. There was supposed to be a Halloween contest, but yet there wasn't an area where you can register the dogs nor many dog owners at all took part in dressing them up. On a downside, there wasn't even an area where you can let the dogs run free and play with the other dogs. It is mandatory to keep them on the leash. Other than that, it was less than we expected. I feel like your better off taking them to a real dog park to have fun than going to another event like this. read more

Great park that i've been driving by for quite some time and finally decided to stop. Lots of room, pavilions and a fantastic running track that I will be using more often! We've taken the dog here a couple of times as well. They are allowed on leash (and dog forget to clean up after them!!). Currently, some of the larger pavilions are closed due to COVID - and one of the bathrooms was locked but there were no signs so it may have been just a one off thing. read more

This is our first time here at Carlon Park. We came for the beach. They have a nice place to eat called logghead which serves up nice breakfast and lunch meals. This beach is next to a softball field they also have a playground for children under 12. The water is calm today a couple of shells on the floor but overall awesome. They have public restrooms. FREE PARKING! And everything here is nice and clean. I might even check out Shakespeare tonight! read more

This is a great park for walking. When I'm out of town I always try to get in a few miles. This was further than a couple of others I wanted to also try but this was a great option. Then entire loop is 1.25 miles which is great. If you walk on the outside of the path you get a little extra mileage. I did 3 laps and would up with 4 miles. It is directly across the street from the Ocean so you do get a decent breeze. It was still a little warm in the sunny areas. The path is also covered in mulch which is easy on the knees but is somewhat like walking in sand so you get a pretty good workout. For those more daring there are workout stations along the path as well. The directions are clear on what to do. There is also a nice lake on part of the path as well as tennis courts. The city has done a great job with this gem. There is also wildlife to look for, mostly birds and some rabbits. read more

Carlin Park is located in Jupiter right on the beach. There are a number of facilities here including restrooms, playground, pavilions and restaurant (Lazy Loggerhead Cafe). The best part of this park is the beach! Long beautiful flat beach that you can walk for 1.25 miles and if that is not long enough continue along the beach out of the park along A1A beach for a spectacular walk. Came here with a bunch of people to have a BBQ and enjoy a nice day at the beach. This is a pretty nice area with playgrounds, grass area and a beach on the other side. The entire area itself is pretty clean with a new view. I saw a lot of families here so it must be a popular spot. Parking is free and there is plenty of parking. Lots of picnic tables as well. This is my favorite beach in Jupiter! The parking is free and there is always plenty of open spots. The beach is clean and I love that to the south is dog-friendly and to the north is no dogs allowed, so it is a good mix! There is a nice small playground, picnic tables, and BBQs by the parking lot, but the best part are the bathrooms. In my few experiences, they have always been clean and well-maintained. There are also wash off showers both on the beach side of A1A and near the parking lot, which makes for a clean ride home! read more

Even though Carlin Park is a good 45 minute drive from our house, I make it a point to go to this park/beach rather than one closer to home. Parking is free, there are picnic tables, a few grills, a playground, restrooms, and a restaurant. The beach is well taken care of and I've never found it terribly crowded. read more

The first word that comes to mind with this park on the beach is convenience! For starters you've got a baseball field,lots of close great parking that is just steps away from the showers and beach access. This park is a favorite among the logos because it's really crowded and his family friendly. I believe there are maybe 20 or 30 covered barbecue areas with grills and large tables which are covered which is important to point out. also got a his and hers bathrooms and even a restaurant and it's very convenient to just grab your stuff and go there with the family. This park is just across the street from "corners" a popular surf spot and there are lifeguards and lifeguard towers at each of the beach access points within the park. On the other side of the road is another park with more area for activities and sports although I don't really head over to the other side of the park I'm always there at the beach. Did I mention that the parking lot and all the parking spaces are FREE there are no meters or charges. Don't forget your sunblock! read more

When I was in high school, I refused to play any team sport unless I could wear a skirt. Years later I'm still kind of a sissy but I fancy myself a bit of a runner. Okay, actually more of a jogger. So when I'm in Jupiter, Carlin Park is where I do this running and thinking. Plus it really boosts my self esteem when I jog past senior citizens in short shorts (Eat dirt, Lester!). The park is right across from the Jupiter Beach Resort and the ocean itself. It's actually 1.5 miles all around but it's considered a Heart Trail and there are stations where you stop and follow the directions on the signs. For example, there are stretching stations or cardio prompts (like jumping jacks, sit ups, pull ups, etc.). You can follow or not follow. Sometimes I stop and do the stations if I'm with someone extremely OCD; but usually it's just me and my '80s mix doing long slow miles without a care. But it gets very hot on the track and there's not a lot of shade since it's right across from the ocean. I think it's important to go very early in the morning, then walk across to the beach, take a dip to cool off, and bring your SPF 90. Sun blisters are tres disgusting. With the exception of the friendly regulars, the park is not very crowded. I used to come here with my grandpa as a young girl and we'd open our hands with some breadcrumbs and feed the birds while doing a little whistle. Lots of people just walk the track and enjoy the sunshine, green beauty of the trees surrounding the trail, and the scent of sea water in the air. There's also a little lake where you can feed the ducks. Across from the lake is a playground with picnic tables. I always thought it was kind of romantic to come for a picnic, even though I didn't have kids. And there's a bathroom! A really clean one at that. I mean I love jogging in Central Park and all but finding a bathroom was always a disaster unless I was near the Boat House. I just love it here and I love this track. Really, is there a reason to go back to NYC and deal with shady men grunting on the elliptical once you've found paradise? read more

Went today based on good reviews - only lasted 45 minutes :( Parking was easy and free, but the beach was PACKED even though it's off season (July) . Seaweed everywhere, kids unsupervised screaming everywhere - we packed up and left and went to Hobe Sound/Jupiter Island . So much better . SO much .... read more
