So glad…read more Jodi is trained in a salon so he knew the assignment with a dude with waay long (3 years?) pandemic hair. After some sectioning and layering and about six inches off, I still had the long hair my mid-life crisis longed for but in a MUCH more manageable and (I think) presentable format. Jodi was funny and patient with me and his trainee but not fake nice. Great spot. Like everyone else I met in Barrie during a rough time for a sick parent, I was reminded of my fond memories of the kindness of Canadians that I'm not finding as much in the Big Smoke (TO as we used to call it). Jodi should be proud of his shop and his skills...better than any place I've been to in Los Angeles where I now live. He should also be proud of Barrie.

I have spend many years trying to find someone I am completely comfortable with and can trust as my hair is, well difficult! He is extremely accommodating. If he has a busy schedule, he makes the effort to fine a date/time which is convenient. The quality of craftsmanship, what Vince does is truly a skill. I have him cut my hair, trim my beard, and help me style - and every time, I leave looking like a million bucks! He is steady, and the feeling you have after a wet shave is amazing. In addition to this, Vince accommodated a beard style and shave for my wedding party. They all looked incredible!! I highly recommend giving Vince a try. I find him to be very responsive, he often returns my call or texts after hours if he was busy. I have never had him cancel an appointment. In fact in many cases, he opens up early or stays late to accomodate me. I highly recommend Vince at the Barber Pole Barrie. My biggest complaint is that he is sometimes too busy, and that I have to wait a few days when I don't book appointments early enough.

Took my town sons, 5 and 10 years old, for haircuts. We were charged full price ($25 each, so ~$60…read moretotal) and the stylist bumped my 10 year old out of her chair after only 10 minutes. There were a number of people waiting so I guess the decision she made was to push as many through in the quickest time possible rather than do a proper job. The quality of the cuts the boys had was on the lower end, as well, particularly my 10 year olds. That said, some of those waiting, some of whom were also younger boys, seemed to be OK. The only thing I can figure is most of these lower priced stylists aren't all that familiar or capable with actually cutting men's hair, as opposed to buzzing it with clippers, as seems to be the current fashion. My boys both has longer hair and the styles that looked somewhat well-done on the other kids waiting we're buzzed and faded on the sides. In sum, not a good experience for us. Even if you want the type of cut they seem to do well the price for a kids cut, particularly one on which the spend only 10 minutes, is too much. We won't be returning.
