It is one of the most centrally located street markets in London. The market mainly caters for local residents and the office population in the immediate Victoria Street area, selling food, groceries, books and clothing, but is becoming increasingly popular with tourists. My wife and I visited the Strutton Ground Market while we were on a trip to London in April 2019. We had just visited Westminster Abbey down the street, and my wife told me about a great street market that we could stop at for lunch. She had studied abroad in London and knew her way around the city pretty well. There were so many delicious-sounding food vendors that we had trouble picking. I decided to order from a Middle Eastern food vender called Falafel Zaki Zaki. I ordered "The Whole Shebang Wrap" which was stuffed with falafel, eggplant (aubergine), salad, hot peppers, pickled vegetables and white sauce. Just as I was about to take a picture of the delicious wrap, the vendor posed for the shot and had me cracking up. That wrap was so good!! My wife found a cool Indian street food vendor and ordered some Samosas and a side of Chicken with Rice. We ended up sharing all of our food and were very happy with our choices. We'll definitely stop again on our next trip to London.

Conveniently located on Rupert street, which is a stone's throw from the Berwick Street market (where you can pick up produce, organic milk, etc), it's a great one-stop trip during your lunch break or midday adventure. Prices are incredibly reasonable for every dish, portions are huge, and they have tables and benches set up to festively eat right there on the street. These folks work really hard, they set up and break down their tents and cooking stalls every day they're in operation, and never leave a mess in the street. A must-try if you're central in Soho.

GO VISIT THIS PLACE! A small food van parked on the side of the road selling top class, home-cooked mexican food. Slow cooked lamb, pulled pork, chorizo chilli, burrito, quesadilla the list goes on. How he does it in such a small place to then add on nightly specials, deserts etc, etc. What a find! And onto he who owns it! A passionate Mexican man who could not be more friendly and engaging. I wasn't super optimistic about the quality of the poutine in London, but I had no reason to be skeptical, as The Poutinerie delivered. Maybe it's just because everything is better served out of a food stall, but the dish was great. I got the regular, and the curds-to-gravy ratio was good, and the fries were fresh. No complaints here! Service was quick and friendly as well. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting, but well worth it considering just how badly I was craving poutine at the time.

It's right at the beginning of Epping Forest, which is a lovely place for a walk or ride. Essex has some really excellent biking roads. If a mountain biker or horse rider, the forest is great for your off road needs. It's bit hard to find 1st time, being off the beaten track, but it is worth the effort. Weekends can get busy. Acklam Village Market is a street food market with some of the best street food in one place that I have ever seen. Not only do they have great food, there is a bar with a decent amount of seating. Like I said, we were there on a Saturday so the place was packed. I would definitely recommend arriving early and sharing with friends from a couple of the vendors. You are going to want to try everything and are going to have a very difficult time deciding what you want. We ultimately decided to split shawarma but it was so big we were too full to get anything else unfortunately.
