    Bread Ahead

Tourist trap, but delicious strawberries. You probably don't need my review to tell you this is a place to visit when in London. Going in for the first time, don't expect to have a place to stand or sit. We struggled a bit to enjoy our food -- hovering over a flower planter box while the wind blew away all of the cheese from our sandwiches, haha! We had to visit this place two times because there were too many items we wanted to try. The first experience felt like a disaster. Everyone was packed in like sardines while the loud speaker was warning us of pickpocketing on a weekday. The second experience, we arrived at 10:30AM and had a more enjoyable experience, hence the 3/5 rating. Items we tried: 1. The Ginger Pig - Sausage roll was too greasy in my opinion. 3/5 2. The Black Pig - "The Best One" was delicious and very filling. It's ideal to split since there are two sandwiches in one tray. The parmesan was flying everywhere because it was a windy day. 4/5 3. Bread Ahead - We tried a few donuts, but the stand out was the Crème Brûlée. I may have eaten too much, I couldn't enjoy this one 3/5 4. Kappacasein Dairy - "Toastie" was absolutely as toasty as it sounds. The bread was crispy and crunchy, the cheese was unreal. 5/5 5. Bomba Paella - Lobster Paella was expensive and the portion was small. The paella was average. 3/5 6. Turnips - viral chocolate covered strawberries. They're expensive, but worth it. This was the only thing we went back twice for. It's that good! Super refreshing. The strawberries were exactly what we needed after eating a ton of heavy food. 5/5 Everything at Borough Market was quite expensive, but that's expected at a tourist spot.

Need to stop by at least once while in London! I would try to go at non-peak hours. The sandwich from The Black Pig is absolutely worth the hype, it was the most delicious sandwich I've ever had. If they ask if you would like extra cheese, say yes. So many cool little shops and local souvenirs to check out. We really enjoyed it here.

Borough Market, London Found a Gujarati cart serving a massive mound of onion bhajia--crispy, perfectly spiced, and exactly what I needed. Paired with a solid cup of masala chai... hit the spot in the best way. #BoroughMarket #LondonStreetFood #GujaratiEats

Love Love Love the Borough Market! Steeped in history it's a must to visit when in London. Especially if you love to eat! A seemingly endless variety of vendors and food stalls. Not just in the market proper but also in the streets surrounding it. The cup or fresh strawberries topped with warm melted chocolate, the warm crispy cheese toasties, and the stall with the giant pans of freshly made mushroom risotto and delicious seafood paella (one of my faves here). Just a few minutes walk from London Bridge Station there is something for everyone at this market. Cheeses, breads, pastries, meats, fish, flowers, fruits & veggies, nuts & spreads, candy, ice cream & gelato, coffees, donuts, ethnic foods, plant based, and so much more. You can make this a day trip and spend hours here sampling things and eating your way through it. There are also some sit down places to eat and accessible restrooms open to the public. ATM is also on site but a good idea to bring a credit card and cash. You will be spending some coin and its worth it.

Very busy market with tons of shops. Get there early as the majority of them shut down at 5pm.

i love a good market and borough market is one of those places where there are so many different things to try you honestly don't even know where to start what we got: - wild mushroom risotto - fish and chips from fish! kitchen - pistachio cannoli from gastronomica market we came on a bank holiday and i was honestly surprised it wasn't insanely crowded. the lines moved pretty quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for food either. seating was definitely packed, but we got lucky and managed to snag a table after hovering around for a bit. everything we tried was delicious. the risotto was super creamy and comforting, the fish and chips were crispy and fresh, and the pistachio cannoli was the perfect sweet treat to end everything with. definitely one of those spots i'd come back to just to keep trying more food stalls.-

Borough market is a diverse market in terms of food offerings. I'd say that 80% of vendors there serve food options. There are a few vendors selling candles, and some hard goods too. You can grab fresh vegetables, seafood, meats, and even a pastry at ease, but be prepared for the crowds! All of the vendors work FAST! Lines don't last long and they have a great system no matter where you shop. Borough market is a well oiled machine! Absolutely incredible food and I can't wait to come back for breakfast!

A fantastic food destination and the perfect stop while visiting London. The variety is incredible -- you'll find everything from fresh seafood, fish and chips, and seafood paella to artisan chocolates, coffee, chocolate-covered strawberries, spices, and countless other treats. The market is large, vibrant, and full of unique flavors and experiences. It's a great place for families, food lovers, or anyone looking to explore and try something new. Within walking distance from the train.

Personally I am NOT a fan of Borough Market as a whole. It is too crowded with wannabes trying to take some unique photo that has been shot 10000 times. I just laugh at the lines because an "influencer" talked about chocolate covered strawberries and you will see so many people tossing their plastic cups with dried up chocolate. Now don't get me wrong-there are some good places in here (hence the 4 stars). Many of the booths have samples too. Make sure to find the truffle oil samples. I just wish they had travel size bottle so I could get it through security. Spice World is another great stall to get some unique spices. If you are a fan of Bridget Jones movies then make sure to recreate some scenes in front of her door. This is also a great place to go if you like feeling like a human pinball being bounced from side to side. There are just way too many places to eat in London that are so much better and a lot less expensive. I am just not a fan of paying 8£ for a cup of carrot juice.

If you even been, you know what this place is all about. Coming from LA, it somewhat resembles the farmers market near the grove but with much more stalls and vendors. It's just off the train station and broken into 2 or so section. Right when you walk in, it's very much New York meets London vibe. Stalls and vendors selling amazing things. Fresh bread made that morning and on full display. Different vendors with their fresh produces. There's one or two different markets inside. If you continue through, there's a whole section that's catered to cheeses. I mean, who doesn't love cheese. Walking up and down the stalls, sampling some of their goods was so worth it. Then comes the food. Literally everything all looked amazing. Fresh seafood stall which was amazing to see that something like that would be there. I mean it was cold so it was somewhat a bonus for it. The most popular vendors when we arrived was the paella stall. They even had security guiding the line to make sure line wasn't blocking the way. There were choices on the plate options. Classic plate but you can also add shrimp, tiger prawns or lobster tail. It was quite nice but a little pricey. There were a few alcoholic stands that offered mulled wine. It was major hit as it was much needed during winter. Between the seafood stall, paella's, Indian, Chinese, bread and cheese. There were so much to choose from. Downside, there's not much places to sit and eat. So standing there during winter trying to eat, it was tough. Overall, it's a must if you're ever in London. Regardless the season, it's worth it.

Really enjoyed exploring Borough Market and I think it's a must do activity in London. So many unique vendors and purveyors with anything you can imagine. Market covers multiple areas but I'd encourage just walking around and discovering what stands out to you. Highlights included: - the ginger pig - decadent and delicious sausage rolls - turnips - freshly squeezed juice - monmouth coffee - fantastic coffee that we also bought beans from to take home - the black pig - free range pork and parm sandwiches - padella - freshly made pasta Recommend coming early in the AM to beat the crowds. It can get pretty overwhelming once it starts to fill up. Definitely come very hungry and open minded.

The Black Pig After walking around for a long time, we stumbled upon the Black Pig. Seeing people walk away with a sandwich tray piled sith freshly shaven Parmesan, drew us in, and so glad it did. Such a uniquely delicious and hearty sandwich. The line is long, but it goes pretty quick. Highly recommend getting it. We shared one, but could have easily eaten one on our own. It's ok, bc it leaves room for us to try something else. Northfield Farm Got the special Rueben and shared it. It has salt beef, emmental cheese, sour kraut, pickles and their secret sauce. It was cool to see him make it in front of you quickly. It's only one person at a time, so the line might take a while to make its way through.

What a near spot in London! One of the oldest open street markets I love this history involved as well as all the food vendors. So much different food and people selling groceries and stuff as well. I loved the vibe even though it was super packed. I got a fried chicken rice dish and it was great!

As one might expect from a market that takes place in a school playground it is pretty small affair. It is exclusively a food market. There are around 12 stalls selling meat, cheese, fish, vegetables and juices. In contrast to other markets there is little food to eat as you walk (pies etc.) so best to visit for staples if you live in the area. There are a good selection of quality items; the juices are particularly good. This farmer's market isn't spectacular but nonetheless sells good stuff and worth visiting if you're a local.

I recommend the tomato guy, the goat cheese, the fresh eggs, the sausages and of course the Flour Power brownie. It can get a bit crowded, especially in the summer, but it is manageable. And hit the cash machine before you go--I can easily spend 40£ here (I am a sucker for the buy 2 discount!) I wish someone would put up a good coffee/latte stand at the market! I love strolling with my morning latte and there is no good place around there for coffee. Plus every farmers market should have a good coffee stand. I wish I could get Blue Bottle over on this side of the pond....

A while ago I tried some looovely paella. Today I had a gooorgeous sandwich that was basically a mountain of beautifully cooked lamb with sweet chillie sauce, balanced on salad and ciabatta. It was sooo goood!! Next time I really want to try the hog roast with apple sauce. The only bad thing about this market is it is located between SOAS, Birkbeck and ULU...and is around the corner for UCL. It was like £4 or so, which is a good deal in my book. I'll certainly be back on another sunny day.
