I purchased a house a few months ago. The couple I bought the house from did not realize they were…read morehaving so many issues with their pool. They said they liked Crystal Clear Pools and the owner himself had installed their salt system. I had the pool system checked out by a good friend with a lot of knowledge of pools and my pool company that we have been using for almost 20yrs. They both noticed that the salt system was not working and that that Crystal Clear Pools had been using chlorine instead of the salt system to treat the pool. No one had let the previous owners know their salt system was not working but were aware since they were using chlorine instead. Also the pump was not priming all the way. The pump was the first thing noticed by my pool company and friend when they walked up to the system. The previous owners were surprised and had the owner himself come out and fix the salt system. He replaced the main board and charged them $600. They told me that the owner said that particular pump was supposed to only fill half way up and that was normal. I doubled checked with my pool company and my friend and they said that was not normal. Then I called the manufacturer of the pump. They also said it was not normal and that someone needed to look at the pump. I called Crystal Clear Pools and left a message for the owner. After a few days someone from the company called and said the owner would get back to me. He never did. I called the company again and still did not get a hold of anyone who could help or the owner. The previous owners of my house gave me the direct contact for the owner of Crystal Clear Pools. When I called his cell phone he answered. I explained about the pump. He was very nice and told me he would be out in a few days to look at it. I asked if the warranty on the pump was transferable to me and he said it was. Neither the owner from the pool company or anyone else showed up. I called a week later and left a message. I did not hear back. About a week after that I called and the owner picked up again. He was just as nice as the first time I talked to him. He apologized for not coming about and assured me he would be out in a week. When he did not show up again I texted him (see uploaded screen shot) and he responded back. I asked him to be honest if he was going to show up. He assured me he would. He never got back to me and I told him I was moving forward without him. Its now been over a month. I never heard back from him. I was very polite and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was always nice and assured me he would be out but his actions sadly showed me that he had no intention of looking at the problem. I had my pool company fix the issue. While working it they noticed Crystal Clear Pools plumbed the pool pump to where you could barely remove the cap to get the basket out of the pump (See picture). I do not like leaving bad reviews but feel I need to in this case. The owner has not provided quality work, service, or honesty to the previous owner or myself. There are a lot of pool companies in the area. I would try one of them before I would try Crystal Clear Pools.

I switched to Crystal Clear Aquatics Pool & Spa Services a few weeks ago. The company is easy to…read moredo business with and the pool is looking great! I especially appreciate being able to count on someone coming to the house on the same day, around the same time that knows what they're doing and does a great job. Highly recommended without reservation. A+++

The original pool light in my inground pool stopped working and needed to be replaced. From what I…read moreunderstand my inground pool was installed together with my house built back in 1991 in a community known as Lake Charleston, Lake Worth FL. I went online, did my homework and purchased a Pentair Intellibrite 5G WHITE Pool Light for Inground Pools, 12V LED 300W with optional, as needed 100' Cord. (shorter cord lengths available for less) It's not only the brightest white LED pool light on the market it's compatible with all stainless steel and plastic niches. I also upgraded the old transformer by purchasing a new PX300 Transformer 300 Watts by Intermatic. Good to go! Except one problem, a very big problem. Every local pool company I called told me they do not install pool lights, only doing pool cleaning services. I reached out a little further by calling a few more pool servicing companies with the same results. Now what do I do? keep calling around, that's just what I did! I called Gold Coast Pool Service up in West Palm Beach on a Friday. Mike, the owner said he does new pool light installations all the time. He told me even though he services pools in and around West Palm Beach area, not Lake Worth, He would install my new pool light along with the new transformer the following Wednesday. Since Monday & Tuesday he was training the needed extra help to service pools. Great! I didn't have a problem with that, Wednesday works for me. Besides, I'm all for the growth of any business even if that means adding more pool servicing technicians. I thanked Mike, see you Wednesday. Mike showed on Wednesday as promised, along with his assistant Nate that always helps him with new pool light installations, Basically because it's a two man job considering pulling out the old cord while pushing through the new cord. Certainly not a one man job! Mike and Nate worked in unison, two professionals pushing and pulling the cords patiently until finally bringing through the new cord on the other end nearest the pool filter some 80' feet away. Let me tell you something folks. I'm a very handy guy, handy enough to know this was one job left for the professionals to do. Mike & Nate did a great job. Not only that, together two really nice friendly guys. I'm not just saying that because they did the job, seriously a pleasurable experience on a job other pool servicing companies were either unwilling to do, they just don't do inground pool light installations. If I lived up in West Palm Beach, no doubt in my mind I would hire Gold Coast Pool Service to do my inground pools weekly maintenance. Later that night when my wife came home from work, I switched on the new pool light, amazing! What a difference between LED vs older bulb type pool lights. In a way I'm happy the old pool light died! Happier I found the right guy to do the job. I highly recommend Mike, owner of Gold Coast Pool Service for all your swimming pool needs. He's the best!
