This is during work hours, so I called and asked if I can reserve to play pickball either in the evening or on a weekend day because there is no open play on the weekend and they said no. Most recreations center have open play on the weekend so that people who work can also join in. I would appreciate a revision of the open play schedule or the option to reserve a time to play so that people who work a 9-5 can be active as well. This seems like it's catered to people who are retired or don't work a 9-5.

The name is a bit deceptive as I thought it would be bigger. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. There was about 8 children playing on the park, a few dog owners walking their dog, and a family shooting the basketball around on the small half court. You can probably walk the entire strip in about 4 minutes so if you're go a hour long walk, know you'll be going back and forth a few dozen times. What I do like about it is that the grassy area is just all grass and relatively flat. You can lay out. You can do cartwheels. You can play frisbee. But it does feel like as soon as there is 20 people here, it would feel crowded. Plenty of parking in the surrounding neighborhood or on the street.

Even after bringing up the fact that my calls have gone unanswered, there seems to be no response or indication that anyone really cares. Membership rates continue to go up, and at this price point, I would expect responsive customer service to be a pivotal part of the club experience. If a longtime member is trying to add people to an account and can't even get a return phone call, something is seriously missing. Even when visiting the membership office in person, the atmosphere feels completely different than it used to. The employees often seem disengaged, almost as though they don't want to be there. I've enjoyed the Bay Club for many years, which makes this decline even more disappointing. What happened to customer service? Come on, Bay Club--get your act together.

They have multiple things for the kiddos to do; homework, reading & outdoor play. I have a son with autism that did not enjoy any after school program in the past. He would beg me everyday not to take him back. However, this club, he looks forward to it everyday. In addition, the staff is professional and set clear expectations with the kids. I am extremely disappointed with how the Boys & Girls Club handled a serious incident involving my…read moreson and a staff member. The staff member was caught on video having conversations with teen members about their personal/intimate relationships. In that same video, the staff member approached my son and asked him for a drink of what he was drinking. I found the nature of these interactions highly inappropriate and concerning for an adult staff member interacting with minors. Despite the concerns raised, the staff member was initially allowed to continue working at the club during the investigation. At the Senior Director/Vice President level, the initial decision was to return him to the same club, with the explanation that he would no longer supervise teens but could continue working with younger children. After I raised additional concerns about how the situation was being handled, he was then placed on administrative leave. Approximately a week later, I was informed that he would no longer be at the Polster Club. I appreciate that he was ultimately removed from the club, but I am extremely disappointed that it took continued advocacy from me as a parent before that happened. When concerns like these involve minors, I believe the response should prioritize children's safety immediately.

Walking paths are nice, and they connect to the network of nearby trails that enable to take walks through Carmel Valley. All in all, I find the Park a pleasant place to visit.
