A very nice clean and quiet park on a Sunday afternoon. We were surprised that not many people were here and it was a beautiful day.

Fabulous little park with great play structure. The fields are real grass and not that great. Slopes downhill a little too. Great public bathrooms. Easy parking. It's on top of the hill and with with that comes pretty little breezes.... be prepared. Saw dog owners walking their puppies on leash...

Well First of all I was looking for a good and clean park to take my family to so I heard about Torrey Hills Park and I decided on going there !! As I drive up to the Park I had to park on the Side Street because the Parking normally is open but closed during these tuff times !!! Hopefully it will open back up soon for Parking also !! Now I have to agree with how good this Park is !! First there is an big area for kids to play !! Next to the area where kids can play is also a Basketball Court for you to shoot hoops !! The green Grassy area is huge and it is nice to just relax and chill !! There is also an area of Dead grass with sand where you can take your RC cars for a drive like off roading pretty cool !! There are also bathrooms for you to use also plus plenty of shaded areas with trees !! It's an amazing Park !! Lots of Tables and Benches for you to sit also !! Perfect for a Walk or a Jog even a run !! There are also good Trail that goes up for you to hike !! Lots to do at this Park !! I shall say it is for sure one of my favorites !! Perfect for families and Kids !! Kids love it here !!! Not to crowded either !! Just an great Park for Everyone !!! Overall Satisfaction: Fun Factor : 4 out of 5 Stars lots to do here Cleanliness: 3 out of 5 Stars no park is perfect but still in good shape Parking: No Problem !! Lots of Parking Selection of things to do : plenty lots of play area for kids and good trail also !! Overall Grade: 4 stars out of 5 Amazing Park and good for Everyone !!

Our kids enjoyed playing here! We were in town visiting with friends, and this playground was a good place to meet so they could get some energy out. The equipment was safe and the park was clean. There was a bathroom close by. Our oldest (7 1/2) to youngest (1 1/2) enjoyed playing here, and other families at the park were fun and welcoming. We did see a gopher building a vent hole! Who knew they put lids on them?!?! Pretty neat. We stayed and watched the whole time once we figured out what was happening!

Great neighborhood park and one of the largest in the area. It has a full playground for toddlers to older children. Most of the play area is sand based. Great sidewalks for the kids to run around and ride their scooters. Separate area for toddler swings and a toddler climbing structure. - Large bathroom facility - Next to open soccer fields and a tennis court - Plenty of picnic tables for a large gathering - Plenty of parking in lot next to playground

Awesome park for kids and adults alike. There's playgrounds for 2-5 age group and 5-12 age group. There's basketball court, 2 baseball fields, a large soccer field, stairs (for serious exercises) and running trail. What more can one ask!?! Oh, and there are restrooms, picnic tables, and plenty of parking spaces.

It's super accessible with ample parking, and I love that there are multiple entry points and routes you can take depending on how long of a walk you're in the mood for. This park truly has something for everyone. There's a splash pad, basketball courts, a great playground for kids, and even a giant chess game, which is such a fun and unique touch. It's also an amazing place to walk your dog--I bring mine here all the time, and he absolutely loves all the open grass and the variety of paths we can explore. One of my favorite features is the set of stairs that lead up toward the residential areas and the dog park. If you take them all the way up, you're rewarded with really pretty views at the top, which makes the little climb totally worth it. Overall, Civita Park is clean, well-designed, and perfect whether you're looking to be active or just enjoy a relaxing afternoon outdoors. Definitely a Mission Valley gem!

Lately, with temperatures 10 to 19° above "normal average" - or maybe it's just the new normal - it's hard to recall the last time we got to experience a cool day. But here, the way the gazebos, tables, and benches are set up reflects a pretty severe case of denial that this is Southern California, and not quite within walking distance from the beach. It WILL get hot whenever it damn pleases, with or without notice. It did so in February already, in case you missed it. We came a few times for the farmers market. Both days were unfortunately " 80°F" her weather report, which in reality feels like 92°F, and we had to scramble to find a little bit of shade, so that we could eat our street food without passing out from heat stroke. We huddled awkwardly on the curb under a small tree. Other people passing by with food in their hands looked at us with envy. NOT A SINGLE PERSON sat on the readily available benches with tables, because they were in the blazing sun, yet lacked any shade. Never mind an umbrella, not even holes to put one in!! Denial much?? It's really sad, because it's a beautiful place. It just DESPERATELY needs more shade for the visitors to feel comfortable without clinging to trees or the bathroom walls.

There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. There's no divide between small dogs and big dogs, so it's best to just keep an eye on your dog, and many owners around here are usually respectful. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.
