Found this little store while searching for ice cream. This is a mom and pop business, was happy to see this! The service was Quick Look's like Carmen's husband helped us. The ice cream looked good, I only sampled the cheesecake ice cream which was good. I settled for a coconut ice pop. - not the best, it was more milk based than coconut. It did have pieces of coconut in it but personally, it was a bit much... I felt like I was eating hair lol yikes! I heard the eggnog was decent, the prices are also very decent compared to other ice pops. I'd return but would probably go for the ice cream instead. read more

Strangely quiet and weird smelling and pristine storefront manned by a stoic group of Filipina ladies. But the product won rave reviews. The ice cream was appreciated, but also a unique strawberry chocolate coconut popsicle creation. And my team is picky. Would a smile help? Perhaps a tad less disinfectant? Perhaps. But they don't come to my office and tell me how to do my job, so perhaps I'll leave it at that. read more

Old style ice cream parlor with tons of homemade flavors. Very unique flavors too! Like cucumber, avocado, and coconut. I tried the coconut and it was amazing, with tons of shredded coconut mixed in. This was our first visit to this hidden gem and what wonderful flavors unique to traditional ice cream shops. They make all of the ice creams and popsicles or bars in house. Some of the unique flavors of ice cream are avocado, spicy pineapple, spicy mango and sweet corn. They also have a wide selection of typical flavors of ice cream and sorbets to choose from like coffee, chocolate, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, strawberry sorbet etc. the cafe is fairly small with 3 tables and 2 high tables. Prices are nice with one scoop fir$2.35, 2 scoops for $4.25, shakes $4.99 and popsicles are $2.35 - $2.85. Carmen's is located next door to the movie theater and I know we will be coming back to enjoy more of these wonderful flavors and popsicles. Tonight we ordered a strawberry ice cream popsicle covered in chocolate and rolled in peanuts, a scoop of Strawberry Sorbet and a scoop of Avocado ice cream and a cup with a scoop of coffee and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The Avocado ice cream had a mild creamy flavor and was very nice. The strawberry sorbet was a great full flavor strawberry. The coffee ice cream has a very nice and pronounced flavor and it married well with the full flavor chocolate. Tonight they had 24 flavors of ice cream and quite a few flavors of popsicles giving us quite a few visits to sample everything. We definitely recommend a visit to Carmen's Homemade Ice Cream. read more

So I loved the ice cream choices here. Like loved. However the teenager working there needs to work on her smile. It was nowhere to be found. And, the whole place was pretty dirty. Tables were gross. This was an off the path stop for us. Craving ice cream. Walked in the lady was super nice and let us try all.kinds of flavors. All the fruit ice cream are made from fresh fruit. My family and I were in town visiting my in laws and they took us to Carmen's. It's a locally family run business with amazing and some unique flavors of ice cream. This was some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted. They have both ice cream and popsicles. After trying almost all the flavors, we finally decided. My kids had popsicles (one had cookies and cream and the other had watermelon). My husband had coffee ice cream and I had pistachio flavored. The ice cream was so creamy and full of flavor. They make all ice cream with real fruit/ingredients and it totally homemade. You will not want to miss this place if you are visiting the Winter Haven area! It is so worth the 15 minutes drive from the LegoLand area- you will not be disappointed! read more
