This place never fails to deliver. Every time we come to Legoland, we come here for dinner as well. It is always an absolute delight. I got the butterfly gin drink again and as always, it is 10 out of 10. It isn't too sweet and it packs a punch. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. For our Mains, I got the pear salad, which was great. I didn't add any protein because my younger son got the grilled chicken kids meal with french fries. He only eats half the chicken so I got the other half. My older son got buttered noodles and a side of fries. It was very good as well, he liked the buttered noodles, but stopped halfway through, so I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses another dish next time. He does love the fries. My husband got the chimichurri steak which he should get every single time because it is delicious and my younger son eats a ton of it as well. This time he got the vegetable of the day and mashed potatoes as his sides and enjoyed both. Parking is a breeze because there is a lot of nearby street parking. It is only about 15 minutes away from LEGOLAND, so I highly recommend if you're in the area skip all the chain restaurants and come here instead. read more

Lucille's American Cafe is a solid breakfast spot, and the food is the real draw. My wife and I came in for brunch/lunch and the food did not disappoint. She had the Breakfast Burger with fries and I went with the skirt steak and eggs. Both were excellent. The steak was cooked right and the whole plate came together well. Service was a little slow, which kept this from being a perfect visit. We also happened to be seated near one extremely loud patron, which made the room harder to enjoy, though that is obviously not the cafe's fault. Even with the slow service, the quality of the food is what matters and Lucille's delivered. We would come back. read more

Hat off to the owners for a fun and vibrant interior! Definitely gives classic diner but still feels modern. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and excited to try brunch. Because mimosas and Bellinis are only $5- we started with a round. Super awesome deal! Beyond that we had a good variety of plates around the table. I personally did the banana foster French toast. Really loved it but thought it could have used way more banana! I think there were maybe 5-6 pieces of banana. Otherwise, a solid dish. Also around the table was a bowl of chili, a club sandwich, and chicken Brie. The plates were all hearty. The sandwiches were nice and the chili had good flavor but could have been served a tad hotter. Was Luke warm by time it hit the table. I'm cautiously optimistic! Second time to eat at Lucille's while visiting a local shop. The first visit, with the soup, was not so good. This time, friend and I decided to try the salads. Our friendly server was present as soon as we sat down. Friend ordered the Lucille's Original Crispy Chicken Salad; I ordered the West Coast Blackened Chicken Salad. The salads were delicious! 2 dressings for each served on the side. We tried each other's dressing. The blue cheese is homemade and really good. The dressing for the West Coast Blackened Chicken Salad was tangy and perfect for the salad. We mentioned the soups from the last visit to the server. She mentioned that sometimes it depends on the cook. Who knows? We'll go back the next time we're in town and try something different. read more

What a find! A must visit if you're here for Legoland. Atmosphere/Ambience: Old diner throw back meets family restaurant with darker colors. Lots of booths. Noisy background with large dining spaces but not too loud. Good for families with kids when you know it won't disrupt others. Happening place! Service: Very accommodating and super attentive. Flexible with needs. Water always full. Order ad-ons went in quick. When half of the food took a bit, manager came out with some free food even though we didn't complain! Easy to get a reservation here same day for a weekend during prime time for a large party with kids. Food: Really delicious and tons of options. We loved the holiday cocktails, kids menu, adult menu, and desserts. Everything was a banger. Standouts included the BBQ plate, shrimp, salads, and fries. Yes, the fries. Perfect crispy inside and pillowing inside. Simple dishes on the surface, but very well executed and flavorful. We wanted to order more even though we were stuffed. Very large portions. Drinks: Agree the butterfly drink is a standout. Holiday cocktails including Coquita was nice. Good selection of a craft beer. No complaints and very intriguing. Price: Incredible deal! Decided to give this place another try, this time for dinner instead of breakfast. Walked in on a Thursday evening, it was fairly empty. Our waitress Adriana was extremely nice and attentive, she offered so much refill, to go cups etc. service was top notch lol. We ordered the Cali sandwich and my fiancé had the patty melt. Was told the patty melt was good but would switch out the bread, since the rye bread had a little more flavor than the patty meat itself. The potato chips are great! The homemade ketchup was sweet and interesting. The tomato soup was a little bit watery but tasted good, Michele thought it wasn't right and offered us a replacement potato in its place to go. Pot pie was massive and full of chicken and veggies. It was a bit dryer than expected but still very tasty. The staff here are amazing! Michele our wait staff took care of us from start to finish. In addition to the replacement soup, she had the manager take the pot pie off our bill. I forgot to mention the grow root beer, which is a local brewer that's available on the menu. Another visit to this wonderful restaurant in Winter Haven. My wish list is for another one to pop up in Haines City or Davenport. First time I ordered the pulled pork platter and I wasn't disappointed. A small mountain of pulled pork with two containers of bbq sauce. I substituted fresh green beans for mashed potatoes. They were very yummy. The pork was yummy. Also had Cole slaw, a good portion was given. Wifey had the chicken fingers, her favorite menu idea at Lucille's. Came with crispy, great tasting fries. Cole slaw which was not in my photo. She moved it before I snapped my shot. We came back with friends the next day and I had the chicken tenders. Plenty of food. Decently good but not spectacular food. The vibes are on point - I think the outside area is so cute & the inside is decorated really nicely so first impressions were great as far as I'm concerned. It was Sunday evening so we were sat quickly and got a waitress quickly. We only drank water but they do have Coke products which is a plus for me. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower first which was soooooo good. A good portion, perfectly fried, and the sauce has a nice kick. I got the chicken salad but opted for ranch dressing and the honey bbq sauce on the side. Glad I did because the honey bbq definitely has a mustard base which is not for me but the salad was a great portion. My husband got the baked macaroni with chicken. So I had low expectations with this place already but the decor and aesthetic is warm and inviting so I'll give them that. But I got the angus chili with burger and fries and I'm sorry but I can't justify it being almost $16. It's $10.99 at best. It was ok nothing to rave about but I was starving and it was pretty good. The chili was just spicy with no balance of flavors. The meat chunks were not as tender as I would have liked them to be. I don't know if the fries are frozen but they didn't taste fresh and I couldn't eat most of them because they reminded me of elementary school fries I used to eat . I don't often say this, but there's NO room for improvement. This was the most amazing experience, perfect food presentation, marvelous custom cocktails, and lively and friendly service. Courtney at the tableside, Krista behind the bar, and Tom hovering everywhere to assure that quality pervades. This was as good as it gets. And the ambiance! Music was not overwhelming so we could enjoy conversation, the deco and color scheme contributed to a modern, warm feel. I had the blackened chicken & brie sandwich. Excellent. Wife had the California chicken sandwich. Both were well presented and delivered. But what put me over the top was the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce. Amazing!! We enjoyed cocktails too - "You Give Me Butterflies" and "Mighty Bold of You" made with fresh squeezed fruit juices and in-house made syrups. Can't get much better! We were lucky and got one of those tables with the flame in it outside. From what I saw inside as we walked through it had a nice color palette and looked fresh. The outside is very nice as well!!! The service was great as well. Our waiter was very nice and personable. We ordered the potato skins for an app. They were good, but nothing special for the price!!! For our mains we chose two things and split them. We chose the Blackened chicken and Brie sandwich as well as the Chicken with Waffles. Let's start with the chicken with waffles and fried potatoes as a side. We both thought It was good, but very basic in flavor. The waffles were also thin Belgian waffles not thick and fluffy, like I like em. The potato home fries were YUMMY!!! The Blackened Chicken and Brie Sandwich was tasty. I really enjoyed it. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful. When our server didn't bring the fries as ordered, another server jumped right in and made the correction. That's a plus. The food was okay, simple fare. The homemade potato chips lacked salt - there was none. Probably due to the misconception that salt is bad (which is not - trust me, I'm a nutritional therapist), so they weren't a selling point. The outdoor seating was a nice touch.
