I like coming to Carnation Spa as it's close to my home and easy in and out depending upon your service. They always try to upsell you on monthly membership but I find an and all subscriptions hard to cancel. Not saying they are but I don't see the value. I am here for a detailed cleaning which means I have to wait for about 30 minutes and they have one girl working on my car when there are 5 or 6 others waiting for a car. That's ok, am sitting in the shade outside waiting and writing this review so it's all good. They offer free cold Ozarka water which is a nice touch. You are right next door to Chick-fil-A so it's nice if you are in the mood for Chicken. Does anyone else find it hard to put their car in neutral then release the brake ??? I came to this car wash expecting a high quality car detailing, especially because of the high price tag of $110. I ended up getting a low quality car scrub. There was mud still stuck on the car and I had to scrub some of the dirt of the vehicle myself. After taking to the employees they obviously did not care about their job and were very lazy. I spoke to the manager expecting compensation for the low quality car wash and got zero compensation and the manager was very rude and basically said that they did not care. Do not go to this location at all costs, especially if you want a clean car. read more

I paid $29 for an exterior wash that was supposed to include cleaning the tires and wheels. I even tipped $10 upfront hoping it would motivate the staff to do a good job. Unfortunately, the tires and rims were still visibly dirty when they finished, and parts of the exterior of the car were still dirty as well. The overall attitude of the employees came across as lazy and like they simply didn't care about the quality of their work. For the price paid and the tip given, the result was very disappointing. I will not be returning, and I would caution others to think twice before spending their money here. Very friendly service and the outdoor crew did a phenomenal job drying/detailing the exterior of my truck after the wash.

I took my car to the other full service car wash in Roanoke and it cost 80.00 and my car was not cleaned very well. My husband called to complain and called Carnation Auto Spa by mistake and talked to the manager and he told him to bring it to here and they would redo and make sure it was good for free. They did an excellent job and this will be our new car wash place. We will be getting a membership. Thank you for a job well done. read more

Been to this location twice now and both times i've come away with a half cleaned truck. The rollers on the sides beat my mirrors up each time. It seems that they don't have something set right cause it came out with the tailgate all soapy and didn't even get the bird droppings off the bed cover or windshield. Their info says they open at 8 AM. I pulled up at 8:30 AM and they were not open. There were multiple employees there. At least five cars tried to turn into the car wash lane, but there were cones blocking it. I waited for 20 minutes. Still not open. I finally saw a guy out near the cones but not moving them. I asked what time they open and he told me the temperature has to be above 32°. I totally understand that, but why can they not have some kind of signage stating that so people are not driving by constantly and waiting for 20 minutes?? Very frustrating. Other than this, I love this car wash. I love that they offer a membership, which I use. And if you have a membership, the detail packages are half off. Really disappointed that CarNation has purchased several local car washes. On one hand, the idea of a fixed monthly rate frees you to get your car washed as often as you want to. On the other hand, the prices have gone way up for a lesser level of service, and equipment seems to be broken each time I'm here. People are mostly friendly. Tipping is generally expected if you get any service beyond using vacuums yourself and driving through the wash. If you do get a full service wash, be sure to tip the person servicing your vehicle. There is no tip jar - they do not share tips. Pros: - You get your car washed okay - You don't have to get out of your car - You can vacuum your car yourself and not tip - Convenient location Cons: - You get your wallet drained Bottom line: There aren't many better options as CarNation buys up area car washes. They even bought my favorite Krystal Klean in Southlake recently, where prices have gone way up and the quality has since faltered. read more

Caution clean vehicle seekers! Bring your business elsewhere! During my most recent visit, my vehicle (in neutral and no braking applied) met resistance from wash equipment and became dislodged from the rollers. The next vehicle impacted my vehicles bumper causing damage. In speaking to the manager and viewing the video he told myself and driver of the vehicle who struck mine that the car wash equipment was faultless and unable to create any instance of what occurred and only driver negligence causes damaged vehicles at his location. Carnation AutoSpa would not be providing any support in repairing the damage. Perhaps most aggravating was the manager boasting in his expertise in car wash equipment and that he was certain that fault was only possible by the vehicle itself or negligence by the driver. I will most certainly provide an update if the business looks to provide further support. read more

Bottom Line: A good range of competitively priced options, including a ceramic wash. Low touch cloth-fiber pads. Finishing spaces include the use of microfiber cloths and vacuums. They offer monthly unlimited services. Their options include a ceramic wash, which few car wash centers currently offer. If you already have a ceramic coating on your clear coat, this is an excellent option to keep it shining. This option includes a dry down by hand, and a tire dressing. They do not offer a touchless option, but the drive-thru system uses cloth-fiber light touch strip pads as opposed to plastic-fiber rollers which scratch your clear coat. Also, your car is fully rinsed and soaped before the pads reach your vehicle, reducing the possibility of scratching. They do have a person at the entry to the drive-thru who will use a wet brush on your vehicle as a pre wash. If you're driving a truck with old paint or something, maybe that's okay with you. If you're driving a new car, or one with a preserved clear coat, such as a ceramic coating, make sure you ask them not to use the brush. That thing scratches your clear coat like metal wool. Despite the ceramic wash and hand dry being the top option ($20 at time of review), while they do a good job of drying your vehicle, they don't dry the door and trunk jams. But, they offer ample finish-out bays (many under cover) and provide microfiber cloths so that you can finalize yourself. These bays also include long-reach, power vacuums. They offer exterior and interior detailing services, but I have not used these as I prefer to do my own detailing work. The pay-monthly unlimited services are a good way of saving money if you're going to use the car wash 3 times a month or more. Good options overall, a ceramic wash, hand drying, self finishing bays, and competitive pricing make this a car wash of choice for me. I just wish they offered a touchless or premium service for car enthusiasts who like to take special care of their clear coat. I give them 4/5. read more

I'll start with the good: the employees were nice, well spoken and all around your everyday employees. The bad: the employees responsible for cleaning the outside of our Tahoe did not do a good job. Only took less than a minute and there were still stains from where they "cleaned". I watched as they just breezed by things like the mirrors leaving residue that could've easily been wiped up with more attention to detail. Not only that but there were obvious places that they didn't even clean! It's kinda embarrassing and I hope that they train their employees better on cleaning. It's not like there were any cars behind us either. Now we're going to have to go home and do the job ourselves. I've been going for years to this location for washing as vacuuming. When they switched to Carnation, they begin offering a subscription clean. I bought into the subscription model thinking it was vacuuming and washing. Do not get into their subscription service. It's a scam unless you want to pay $45 per month for just a wash. Their signs are misleading. It says ultimate on both sides. Their "ultimate" subscription does not include vacuuming. They didn't even want to make it right. They want to sell me more. They do great work, but just be sure if you sign up for any of their "3-month special deals" that you read the receipt carefully. What they tell you verbally is not what's actually happening. They ended up auto drafting my account $20/month for the next 9 months before I figured it out. I called & they sent me a copy of the agreement I signed saying they could take $20 from my account forever I guess until I told them to stop. Terrible service at an unreasonable price. I have gone here three times over the course of three months. First experience was OK, the price being the downside, the fact that no one working on the car spoke or understood any English, and the disorganization about how/where to pull the car up. Second time was yesterday, same as above, but they were VERY slow and did a half ass job on cleaning the wheels despite me paying for them to do so. No manager on duty, no quality control. Today was the last straw: drove up to select service and pay, picked the $30 package this time; 10 feet later i was told by the teenage cashier that they do not offer a $30 service, only $40. Despite me pointing to their sign that said $30, she repeated herself then added that that sign was printed for "a different location." I then asked why the sign was at THIS location, and she said she didn't know (false advertising). I asked to speak to the manager, and then was told he was on vacation. I then asked who was in charge, and she said she was... Never again. I only used this place because it is the closest to home. Hopefully they will fire the manager or close, and another car wash place will take over. read more

Finally used the last funds on a card I bought for carnation car spa in Roanoke. The washing mechanism is ok but......the vacuums are either lacking suction or not working at all, and half don't even have hoses. Today as I was presenting my card, asked if the self service vacuum system was working. Then was told "yes"! turns out I had to back out and retry the hoses 3 times. The detail work is pretty good but if you want to get a wash and a quick vacuum, you may be out of luck. They spent so much money refacing the building but couldn't do anything with the vacuum hoses (over 3 months time). read more
