He started our service immediately and provide adequate documents to me such as PDF and AutoCAD after a week. Other providers have to wait 4-6 weeks to start the work. When I called Carnes & Ekparian Inc, they are always available and reply/answer my questions and concerns. You know each service request is unique, Carnes & Ekparian Inc has excellent communications. Superior professional services all the way around and good old fashioned customer service. I was referred to C&E from the general contractor who rebuilt my old garage. I respect him and the work he did, so I knew I could trust a referral from him. When I got the quote, it learned that property surveys are not inexpensive because there is a lot involved. And at the end of it all, the price seemed fair for a high-level and time-intensive professional service. Look, if it's important, you've got to spend the money. If you're having your property surveyed in the first place, I'm guessing it's important. So get over the fact that it's going to cost a lot of money to do this and find the best professional. I couldn't have found better. I worked with Drexyl Ekparian and he and/or his associates were at my house several times taking measurements and finally to set the corner markers. They worked with my "eagerness" to have the job done yesterday and their very busy schedule (rain delays and holiday interruptions). Also of note, Drexyl spent a lot of time explaining what they were doing and why -- I'm a lawyer and I wanted to be sure that this survey was going to stand up in court because it could be "Exhibit A" in a boundary dispute with my neighbor! He was awesome and his work appeared to my amateur eyes to be perfect. I was impressed and all around happy with the experience. They conducted a topography and boundary survey for me end of 2021. Solid work and timely available. They did run into some issues but handled them very professionally and proposed fair solutions what is much appreciated. Since then I had been in contact with them a few times as I had questions and needed additional distance measures entered in the plan which they did with quick turn around times. I hired Carnes & Assoc. several years ago to do a complete survey on my property. I believed the work done would allow me to refer to the copies supplied by the company in the future. Well, not so. I have to have my fence replaced on one side of the property, and when we referred to the survey, we could not find where they had placed the corner markers. I called and spoke to Gary Carnes about what I needed to find. He said he would pull the survey and call me back. Not really. After several more attempts and promises, he did not call back. Again I called and spoke with a employee who said he had not worked there long. I explained again what I needed, and he told me I would have had to have asked at the initial survey for corner marker pins to be set. I told him I was not informed by the company and/or given the option to select at the time of the original survey. He said basically "too bad" and if they were to come out to locate the "points" and set 2 corner pins the cost would be $780. and maybe more "if they had any trouble locating the points". Yikes, this company is a rip off in my opinion. The original survey was very expensive, no option of what I understand would have been an included cost to set 4 property corner pins, then charging a fortune to come back and do what they ought have done in the first place. I found the work to be very good and competitive. Sometimes, if I need some help with elevation of certain areas of the surveyed property, Mr Gary Carnes always replies to my emails within 24 hours. I was looking for a surveyor and had spoken to about twenty companies all of which said that our survey would be easier and less expensive if there was a current map of our street since our street didn't have any recorded surveys since 1927. I knew there had been a survey done across the street last year by Gary so I called him. He was one of the meanest people I have ever spoken to right off the bat. He basically said I am too busy and since you are not a customer I don't have time to even talk to you. I was willing to hire him to do it but since he was too busy I was hoping he could at least send our neighbor across the street a copy of the survey he had done for them.(They couldn't find a copy but said that they would be happy to share if Gary could just send them or us a copy) It would have saved us about a thousand dollars if he could have taken the time to listen. I get it if he wasn't able to share that but he didn't even have the time of day to talk to me and he was downright mean. This guy is a jerk so don't waste your time even calling him. read more
