After the passing of a friend, I decided to run a 5k that was to benefit her children. I asked Heidi for help to go from nothing to running 3.1 miles all at one time. (Which I had NEVER done before.) She was kind enough to give me a 6 week training plan to go from no running to a 5k. Some of those days had "run this/walk that", some had "rest" and some had "rest/cross-train". I had no idea what cross-training was. So I asked Heidi. My mistake, I walked right into her answer. Which was..."My classes." So I signed up. I had a month left before my race and figured it couldn't hurt. I figured I do a month and then I'm done. Nope! I've been with her 8 months now!
