This store is okay. They sell clothing from newborn up to size 16, boys and girls. Baby…read moreaccessories, toys and shoes as well. I go now and then because when I look hard enough I find some gems. Just today I found two toddler girl denim jackets in really good shape and purchased for $18. I usually pay more than that for just one so it was a good deal to me. Getting the best stuff and deals here imo is about shopping one season ahead or showing up right at the start of a new season because that's when all of the clothes hit the shelves. As far as pricing, that's all up to personal opinion. I think the Walmart brand clothing are always overpriced but the name brand re-sale prices make sense. If it was up to me, I wouldn't take in any Walmart brand clothing for re-selling...it just doesn't hold up well. They always *look* faded and used on the racks. I think about half the stuff in the store shouldn't be there. But I digress, when you find nice things for a really low price that's always worth it.

This place came highly recommended but I have a hard time seeing why…read more Buying: While their racks are stuffed with clothes, their prices are not that much cheaper than buying brand new. I would rather cruise the sales racks at Target or Walmart for similar $4 pieces. Great deals on shoes though! Selling: You have to get there right when it opens and there is usually already a line of moms with bins. They take people in order of arrival, go through your items, and then text you when they are ready. I ended up Making $14.50 for several 2t and 3t jackets. Next time I will skip the hassle and donate.

Subject: Formal Complaint - False Advertising, Bait-and-Switch, and Public Humiliation by Rooster's…read moreAntiques and Home Décor To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding Rooster's Antiques and Home Décor in Acadiana, Louisiana, for false advertising, misrepresentation, bait-and-switch pricing, and unprofessional conduct. On October 4, 2025, at approximately 4:00 PM, I responded to a Facebook Marketplace listing posted by this business for a "Console Table AND Matching Side Tables" priced at $125.00. I confirmed the details directly with the seller (the owner) and traveled across town with cash in hand to complete the purchase. Upon arrival, I was informed that the $125.00 price was "only for the side tables" -- despite the listing clearly stating "Console Table AND Matching Side Tables" as a set. The owner then attempted to charge me $245 for the console table, which was not disclosed in the original listing. This was a clear and deliberate bait-and-switch tactic. When I showed her the listing, she denied writing it, despite the fact that I had been communicating directly with her through Marketplace. She later admitted the ad was misleading, but rather than honoring the price or resolving the issue, she called another woman to the store. Both women were rude, demeaning, and dismissive and proceeded to make a scene in front of other customers, causing me significant public humiliation and embarrassment. They refused to honor the price even after acknowledging the listing's inaccuracy. This incident demonstrates clear false advertising, deceptive business practices, and a violation of consumer trust. No customer should be treated in this manner, especially when they have documentation of the terms as advertised. I respectfully request that the BBB: 1. Investigate Rooster's Antiques and Home Décor for false advertising and bait-and-switch pricing practices. 2. Require the business to issue a written apology and provide a corrective action plan. 3. Consider issuing a consumer alert or revising their BBB rating if these practices are substantiated. I have supporting evidence available, including:    *   Screenshots of the original listing and Marketplace messages.    *   A recording of the in-person incident.    *   Documentation showing the change in price and denial of authorship. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to the BBB's assistance in holding this business accountable and ensuring that other consumers are not misled or mistreated.
