The selection of vendors is top-notch and they seem to specialize in mid-century modern. We took a few laps around and (of course) found a collection of small sculptures of nudes (male and female) without pricing. They are great about calling the owner of the stall and negotiated a smoking deal for six sculptures. They were great at wrapping/packaging them all and now they're proudly on display in my living room! Some unusual stuff, priced fairly, with friendly staff. We will definitely be back!

The Owner and her small staff are on a mission...to provide a service to women (primarily) who are entering the job market and need assistance in putting together a career wardrobe. Nearly New's clientele qualify and are referred to the shop through the Human Services Department (just behind) and have encouraging, enthusiastic assistance from the welcoming staff in pulling together an interview wardrobe and more. This is what I call true community service! 2. Though a primary goal of the business is to provide assistance to their referrals, the shop is open to everyone and I have found many great items ...a mustard-yellow Coach belt, Chico tops and bottoms, a Banana Republic knit pencil skirt. They have jeans, jeans, and more jeans along with other casual wear, so not just career wear. Shoes and boots around every corner, too. There is a 50% off sale on occasion, based on the influx of donations. Speaking of donations, the quality is superb, considering this is not a consignment shop. Thank you, all of you generous and apparently successful career women who donate gently used clothing to Nearly New...you're the best! 3. You gotta love the creaky old house Nearly New calls home. The clothing and shoes are tastefully displayed and everything is clean. There are multiple rooms sectioned by clothing type and size. And they also have a small men's section. 4. The two highest rated shops are just a few minutes apart. Avengers & Broadway... Avengers clothing was very well organized, clean, high value, & worthy of a visit. If you are my age it's a trip down memory lane. For the younger generation, a look into the past. They even have lots of accessories for the clothing...jewelry, hats, shoes, ties, etc. Go ahead visit those thrift stores, but when you get tired of spending hours shifting through clothing get to Avengers. The reasons: they ditched the cheap new furniture that used to consume half the building. And, they added a bunch of new vendors with interesting new stuff that's priced to sell and turnover. So every visit is like a new experience. We just bought a seven foot long media console that is gorgeous, weighs a half ton, and looks like it has seen some stuff. And my husband bought 84 comic books. And any place that has gorgeous furniture/decorative items for me and comic books for my husband is a winner in our book. Staff is friendly and accommodating. But you're really here for the always new, always unique selection. And in that, they excel.

We saw the plants in the window, and they had the succulents we were looking for as well as other attractive house plants. As we wandered the store, we looked at the gently used women's wear (beautiful dresses, and unique jackets), books, and kitschy items that include items men (and women) would like for camping or traveling. As we checked out, we noticed some fun stickers. I bought one for my niece: " Cool Girls Care." The gentlemen who checked us out was personable and helpful. He told us his store had only been here a month. He also told us where our mural was located - around the corner! So glad we found it and this shop. Both were memorable!

However, they have lots of books, tons of glassware, kids toys, some furniture, and lots of media. They do offer daily specials and color tag sales depending on the day.
