The selection of vendors is top-notch and they seem to specialize in mid-century modern. We took a few laps around and (of course) found a collection of small sculptures of nudes (male and female) without pricing. They are great about calling the owner of the stall and negotiated a smoking deal for six sculptures. The Owner and her small staff are on a mission...to provide a service to women (primarily) who are entering the job market and need assistance in putting together a career wardrobe. Nearly New's clientele qualify and are referred to the shop through the Human Services Department (just behind) and have encouraging, enthusiastic assistance from the welcoming staff in pulling together an interview wardrobe and more. This is what I call true community service! 2. Though a primary goal of the business is to provide assistance to their referrals, the shop is open to everyone and I have found many great items ...a mustard-yellow Coach belt, Chico tops and bottoms, a Banana Republic knit pencil skirt. They have jeans, jeans, and more jeans along with other casual wear, so not just career wear. Shoes and boots around every corner, too. There is a 50% off sale on occasion, based on the influx of donations. Speaking of donations, the quality is superb, considering this is not a consignment shop. If you are my age it's a trip down memory lane. For the younger generation, a look into the past. They even have lots of accessories for the clothing...jewelry, hats, shoes, ties, etc. Go ahead visit those thrift stores, but when you get tired of spending hours shifting through clothing get to Avengers. As we wandered the store, we looked at the gently used women's wear (beautiful dresses, and unique jackets), books, and kitschy items that include items men (and women) would like for camping or traveling. As we checked out, we noticed some fun stickers. I bought one for my niece: " Cool Girls Care." The gentlemen who checked us out was personable and helpful. He told us his store had only been here a month. He also told us where our mural was located - around the corner! So glad we found it and this shop. Both were memorable!

However, they have lots of books, tons of glassware, kids toys, some furniture, and lots of media. They do offer daily specials and color tag sales depending on the day. This is a consignment store, not a Goodwill so the prices are definitely going to be higher although they do have a color-coded system for sale items. Everything in here fits within a 5000 square-foot space and they have lots of furniture and clothing of course (mostly women's). They also have oddball items like hot wheels, comic books, and baseball cards. If you don't wanna pay that new furniture price, they definitely have a great assortment of couches, chairs, and tables for about half retail. Plenty of jewelry on display as well. They do have three dressing rooms, but no public bathroom.

They explained that they have a lottery system for people bring items in to sell. They only take 3 people each Tuesday, and they are booked until July for people to bring their items in. Even then, it is a lottery, so technically you may never get chosen to sell your items to them. They said they pay $8 for pants, and other clothing is priced accordingly. Wow! What a pain to try and do business here. It was hardly worth the trip and I will not be back.
