I've always been a fan of VDP thrift shops because you can always find something of interest. The store is very well laid out with most of the floor given over to clothing, which is to be expected. However, they have lots of books, tons of glassware, kids toys, some furniture, and lots of media. They do offer daily specials and color tag sales depending on the day. A couple of finer points to keep in mind is that their bathrooms are kept locked and for customers only and there are no refunds or exchanges. Plenty of photos for more insight. read more

Not many items to find here that I was looking for. Prob came on an off day. Not very well organized. It is located in sketchy area so keep your head on a swivel if you know what I mean. Resale places are those places you have to go to more than once, so it is worth a stop. You never know what you may find. 4 star rating for store organization and cleanliness. read more

I can always depend on this place for affordable electronics in a crunch. They do give you a 3 day return but make sure when you return you get a refund and not store credit. Example I bought a $5 DVD that did not come with the cord (I should have checked but never had this problem there before and there were lots of cords trapped to the top). When I returned and said I was going to go look for another one she told me she was doing a store credit and processed to charge me the remaining 70 cents and told me I could only return that for 70 cents if that didn't work. When asking for assistance, they just keep putting me on hold. Needed pricing for items that are unmarked. Two different clerks could not decide what the price would be. So then I had made an offer and said I would pay this with cash, they continue to disagree on the price. I ended up Not getting the item. Very frustrating experience! Keep in mind this is a thrift store and they get donation all the time so therefore they want to get items out the door in order to make room for other items. Not a good experience at all! read more

i love thrift stores for the chance to help out a charity while also snagging an amazing bargain. I WANT to support this thrift store. I keep returning and hoping for the best, but I have never left with a single purchase and at this point I think i will just stop going in and getting my hopes up. The store is filthy and it stinks. Their merchandise is low quality and VERY high prices. They had a VERY used adirondack chair with legs chewed up by a pet for $20. Brand new adirondacks at Home Depot and Walmart are $13 and $16. Why would I pay more for something in such bad shape? I'm sure it's hard work running a thrift store because you get a lot of junk and have to sort through that for the gems. But you make the decision to price accordingly. I hope they can turn their store around and get their prices more in line with what they actually sell. I would love to be a regular customer but until then there's better thrift stores around town. read more

As much as I love other thrift stores, this one got the best book selection I have found so far. The prices are low and their inventory is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. For throwback threads with serious soul, St. Vincent is your huckleberry. Break down the demographics and the finds are pretty obvious, here. This thrift store, which is located on what seems to be the Duke City's Thrift Store row (Thrift Town and Animal Humane outlets are less than a mile west) offers second-hand hand-me-downs from clergy, do-good church-goers and the like. Thus, as far as clothing options go, it's likely you'll find stuff that made yesteryear shine. Prices are yard sale worthy, around two bucks a piece. Thus, this place has become my go-to for ridiculously random, vintage threads. The rest is solid, too. Furniture, dining ware, random Christmas finds (there was a full Santa suit, never worn, for $20) and "art" (these go in you living room, hipster) are everywhere. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the entire DVD set, is currently available atop the display case. Bottom line: during your thrifty adventures, shop this place first. At the moment it's a generally undiscovered gem. Prepare for perfectly awful music, too. read more

First let me say if you are planning on donating and getting the most bang for your donation, this is the place. It is a true non profit who actively helps people in need. Some other thrift stores are in it for the profits primarily of selling other people stuff at ridiculous prices. This store doesn't always have the prettiest stuff but if you are looking for basic survival stuff at a cheap price, this is the place for you. Sales people are usually very friendly and glad to see you came in. Bathrooms are always clean and usable. I am always glad to visit this thrift store. read more

This is the best St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store I've ever been to and I've been to a lot. Its spacious but full of stuff -- very well organized and good vibes in there.
