And yeah, a lot of it is expensive - naturally; it's an Italian delicacy store. But it's so splendid! Although it's a tiny shop, it's remarkable how much they have packed into it. Bottles and bottles and bottles of deluxe olive oil, balsamic vinegar, tapenade, artichoke paste, pasta, biscuits, and so much more. They also have some fresh vegetables and even skin products like body butter. But the focus is definitely on food, as it should be. If I wanted to make a delicious Italian homemade meal (and who doesn't?) this is definitely where I stop. You can sample everything as well - when I went there were several bowls and bits of bread already out available for dipping in oils and vinegars, and the woman there said just to ask if we wanted to try anything else. She's very friendly, helpful, and talkative, and has some of the best customer service and most upbeat, cheerful attitude I've met in Swedish employees. It seems to be a family-run business, and they travel to Italy themselves to handpick the items - you can tell there's a lot of passion and knowledge that goes into running the store. Simply splendid! As I mentioned, it can be quite pricey, but they have such a variety that the prices of course vary as well - you can definitely find something that suits your taste and budget. Plus they have rainbow-striped pasta - my personal favourite just for fun!

We heard it can be difficult to get a table, so we went in the middle of the afternoon. When I say we had an incredible, traditional Swedish meal, I am really underselling the experience. We had the pickled herring starter and it was so unique and interesting. Each bit of herring was prepared a different way. I was full from that, but we pressed on. Meatballs and gravad lox were to die for. After that, I'm not sure why anyone eats a berry other than lingonberry. We joked with our server that it can be hard to serve an American a meal they can't finish, but they were clearly up to the task. She smiled and said they were proud to stay true to traditional Swedish food and it was a hot spot for locals. We haven't had a bad meal in Stockholm yet, so hard to compare, but a must stop if you're visiting.

Everything you'd need for the perfect meal out! They do not accept reservations and we went on a Sunday evening around 8:30 pm. We waited about 30 minutes, but boy was it worth it! We were seated at a cute little corner table that had pads on the benches, right next to a window to see the street. Lighting was dim and cozy. Service was the best I've had in recent memory. Our waitress was peppy despite having to deal with a long line and probably a long day. She was friendly, attentive, and so cheerful! 100/10. We started with the reindeer salad since my bf had never had reindeer before. While the reindeer seemed less cooked than expected, by the end he really liked the mix of flavors and thought it paired well with the salad. We both got the Swedish meatballs for our entrees and loved them! We both loved the pickled cucumbers and lingonberries. The lingonberries pair so well with the meat! While there are only 3 meatballs, they were so huge neither of us could finish all of them. Especially because I wanted to save room for dessert: the sponge cake! While it didn't look like much on presentation, it was surprisingly moist and the cream and berries were absolutely delicious. My bf said he was only going to have one bite (he's not a big dessert guy) but instead ended up eating half! Highly recommend!
