101+ flavors...it can be scary but trust me, it's worth it.
    Steven S.

I host a youtube food show and we were lucky enough to meet its Owner/GM, Lincoln Cheong, and experience Carousel Creamery and all it has to offer. And boy, this place sets the bar high, REALLY HIGH. (Episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS52uJG4t-U) Lincoln explained to us that they live by the "small batch" process of making ice cream. Just like the term suggests, the ice cream is made in small batches and given a great deal of attention from creation to it being served to the customer. You can taste the quality and the care that goes into each and every flavor of ice cream they offer. And speaking of flavors, they've got about 100+ in-house for your choosing. Don't be afraid though because the staff are well-trained and extremely helpful. Some notable flavors we came across during our visit: -"Honey Lavender" - in the words of my gf "it tastes like France". Sounds odd, but it's so accurate with the use of real honey and lavender steeped into the ice cream. -"Lychee" - creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The chunks of fresh lychee were really refreshing to bite into. -"Tamarind Chili Sorbet" - they served me a sample of it with a sprinkle of salt. I kid you not, it felt like I was eating one of those salty, spicy tamarind candies of my childhood. Pros -With 100+ flavors on deck, you're bound to find one that you like. -A+ to the helpful and very accommodating staff. -Ice cream line-up is never the same and you can make suggestions if you don't see a flavor on the menu that you'd like to see in the future. Cons -None. Just wish I could taste all the flavors in one visit!

This place is ice cream heaven! They have 101 flavors, which can be overwhelming. They have many unique flavors such as Wasabi, Green Mango, and Olive Oil and Basil. I had to try to many flavors until I decided to get the Ube Pastillas and AvocaBro. Ube Pastillas: ube ice cream with pastillas. You can actually taste the ube flavor with little bit of pastillas scattered throughout the ice cream. AvocaBro: avocado ice cream with little pieces of brownies inside. This was my favorite flavor out of all of them. Although it was heavier and creamier than the other flavors, it was delicious. Overall, this place is amazing because of their assortment of flavors. You can come here everyday and order something different! Although, their ice cream isn't that soft, creamy, and have that gourmet quality to it, it is a good place to satisfy your sweet tooth after a meal.

Ice cream is my absolute weakness. After (ironically) enjoying a salad for dinner from the spot across, I couldn't resist grabbing some ice cream... Immediately after walking in, I was overwhelmed with how many different flavors of ice cream they had, which I later realized is both a blessing and a curse because it makes the decision of what to get that much harder... They let you sample as many flavors as you'd like, which I took advantage of by sampling the more interesting flavors such as Beer and Chicharon, Beef Jerky, Gorgonzola and Prunes, Basil and Olive (which was actually delicious!), and many others. I ended up playing it safe and got a double scoop of Honey Lavender and Strawberry Balsamic for 140Php. We were told to give our orders to one of the workers on the floor and then found ourselves a seat. They served our orders promptly along with glasses of water. After we finished our ice cream, we paid for our ice cream at the cashier. I'll definitely be trying more flavors during my next visits!!

Carousel Creamery boasts its 101 flavors, 117 on my last count on their menu (yes, I counted them one by one), and has flavors for everyone. You can try as basic as chocolate ice cream to more exotic like strawberry balsamic or to even more adventurous like chicharon and beer. Very creative, they probably a mix of every flavor. I would like to try a curry-flavored ice cream someday though. Aside from their wonderful ice cream, the other two things I like is the ambiance and the service. The ambiance is bright and cool, and looked like your classic ice cream parlor in the US. You can even taste-try each flavor before you make your final decision on which flavor to buy. Carousel Creamery also has the best staffs you can find. They are very accommodating in making your stay the most comfortable yet. You need not go to the front to order, they can wait on tables too. They are also very knowledgeable on their products and suggests somethings that would satisfy your cravings. Despite the endless lines of people and the heat, they are very polite and friendly. Now on to the ice cream. We have Strawberry Balsamic, Carrot Cake, Honey Lavender, and Spiced Pumpkin. I like that their ice cream melts slowly. My favorite would be Carrot Cake and Spiced Pumpkin. It is refreshing yet fun to eat. Looking forward to try more flavors.

I found this sweet spot when I visited the third wave coffee place near it (Craft Coffee Revolution). This is a unique ice cream place as all the ice creams are handcrafted (how cool is that right? lol) And the sweet hormones in me got so excited about this and I knew then I should try this out. They have over 50 flavors to choose from. You have to pay the cashier first whether it's for one scoop, two, or three. They give you a token and you can begin trying out which flavors you want. When you're done choosing, you can give the token I'm exchange for the scoops. I think the prices are just the same as other ice cream stores but the taste and choices are significantly better. I had the Loveacado and Strracciatella which are soooooo awesomeee...! I wanna go back here and try moreeee. Anyway, you can't just pass by this place if you're an ice cream addict. This should be in your bucket list, fellow ice cream lover!

There were so many flavours to choose from (101 to be exact) that it was so hard to find the flavour I liked best! It was absolutely fun looking around and trying all the flavours that tickled my fancy. The pistachio flavour was great, but the strawberry banana was too sweet. The dark side chocolate was so rich, it closely resembled the texture of a chocolate mousse. Loved it nonetheless! I believe the strength of Carousel Creamery is the wide variety of flavours, although taste and quality were just average.

I believe that ice cream is the answer to everything, and at Carousel Creamery, they currently have 101 flavors to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth! From simple to complex to unusual flavors, they've got you covered! It was so difficult to choose which flavors (c'mon, you can't just have ONE!) to get, but it was great that I was with 3 foodie friends, so we got 3 scoops each. I had spiced pumpkin, beer & chicharon, and strawberry balsamic. I think my ice cream bowl had the weirdest flavors! I chose them because I doubt that I could find them in other ice cream shops. They're an acquired taste, but they did seem to get better with every spoonful. I think it would be better to add the chicharon just before being served so that there'd be a nice crunchy contrast to the smooth beer-flavored ice cream. Friend #1 chose wasabi, cardamom pistachio, and marscapone with figs . I was never a fan of wasabi, so I wasn't surprised not to like it even in ice cream. The cardamom pistachio tastes like a... plant. Hahaha! Well, it did remind us of Indian desserts which are both sweet and savory. I forgot how the last flavor tastes. I think friends #2 and #3 chose the best flavors namely, green tea, mango jubilee, yogurt strawberry, malted choco crunch, stracciatella, and dulce de leche. In my book, green tea ice cream will never go wrong! :D The malted choco crunch reminded me of Horlicks! The fruit based flavors had a tiny hint of sourness that gives a little "kiliti" which I really like. :) The stracciatella and dulce de leche had just the right sweetness. We also had a taste of their waffle cones, and I'd definitely come back for those because of their nice crunch! The ice creams here are great, but what's even greater is their customer service! In our experience, they did not give excuses. One staff in particular, I believe her name's Eunice, was very courteous, pleasant, and apologetic. Props as well to the owner/manager and the rest of the friendly staff. I can't wait for my next visit! :)

What's better than delicious ice cream? Well, 101 flavours of Ice cream! "The Spiral of Ice Cream Shops" The choices are seemingly endless, choosing what to taste will give you a headache even before the brain freeze kicks in. Don't worry the friendly staff will guide you through their selection and even patiently help you find the flavours you seek. Without out a doubt the best place to bring your kids for their just desserts. I can't help but praise their staff for making us feel warm and creamy. I requested for fruity flavours, which ended up being the best selection among my friends. Green Tea Matcha, Mango Jubilee, and my favourite the Strawberry Yogurt.

    Pay first; taste all later!
    Sherwin T.

It gets busy in the evening here, especially during the weekend. I'd suggest you quickly pay first for which scoop-sizes you're going to get before you do your tasting. The line for that is on the right, upon entering. I didn't get to try their waffle cones yet, but will for sure when I head back. A double scoop was enough for me. I already knew heading in that I wanted to get a dark chocolate base, and that's what the Dark Side Chocolate was for. It took whatever the sweetness level of its top-counterpart down to a smoothness. I decided on the Coffee Almond Cookie as it looked fresh out of a can. I'm glad I did as it went well with the Dark Side. Meanwhile, I find it funny that Anytime Fitness is in the top level of this plaza. There's so many food stops haha. You can find the plaza right across Glorie Marie's. Enjoy!

This place was pretty good. I especially liked they way you order - via the token system. There were a lot to choose from that ranged from the very basic to the very trendy flavors. Definitely take the time, and don't be shy about asking to try as many flavors as you like!

The conundrum. 10 scoops of ice cream!
    Gabby A.

The CONUNDRUM! 10 scoops of goodness that you can share with your friends and get a chance to try so many of their flavours! They let you have as many samples as you want here and you can take your time. No one is rushing you to order. I enjoyed the hazelnut creme cookie I think is the name of the flavour. I love hazelnut ice cream. The conundrum was 750P if I remember correctly. They also serve you water and chips. Our order even came with an extra scoop of either vanilla or chocolate ice cream. They have good service. Waters are always filled. They give their recommendations when you ask. Also, they ask if you enjoyed the flavours you got. Love this place! I think my #1 ice cream place right now. :)

The catch is you can only do that from 3pm - 7pm. Otherwise, the regular price is Php 170 for 200 grams. A lady behind the counter told us that someone was able to actually fill their bag with up to 500 grams of chocolate barks which would be like getting it at more than 50% off compared to the regular price. It's inside a tall building housing Balenciaga, two other couture retailers, a small art gallery, and event space with escalators ... anywho, when inside Rockwell's Uptown Mall, go left toward Zara on the first floor and exit the mall. Walk across the street into an expensive looking tall building and ask the guard for directions. It's a bit confusing but plan ahead while in AC. I was skipping like a kid in front of a candy store. I suppose the pastel macaron shells will have to do. Of course we took photos in front of the glass entrance. The employees probably had a good laugh at us tourists. This is the most posh Ladurée location I've ever been to, high decorated ceiling with macarons all around, shades of pink, blue, lavender, and yellow permeating the space. They even sell perfume, or at least the bottles here! Filipinos definitely love to smell good, I noticed perfume at H&M as well. I was thinking to get a 3 macaron stack keychain but figured I'd get one in Paris one day. They go for about ~$35 but the rhinestone studded Eiffel Tower one I had my eye on was $100! Eh, that's ok. I'll stick to the baked goods. My mom & sis were skeptical prior to visiting, wondering if they'd be as good as NYC's. I had my doubts, but one bite into that chocolate Earl Grey and I knew it was exactly the same. Delicate shell making way for a chewy ganache center. Ahhh perfection in a tiny bite. TBH who couldn't gobble these up in 2-3 bites? At PHP 150 ($3) a piece, or $4 if it's in a fancy box, we've got to savor the moment and take at least 4 bites. 12 flavors available each day. I planned to buy a 6 piece Arabesque box ($24, cute oblong box with gold leaf design, almost looks like an eyeglass case) but got the 8 piece ornament box instead. My sis & cousin got the Arabesque. I was able to try pistachio, brown cheese, chocolate Earl Grey, vanilla, coffee, raspberry rice pudding, chocolate, and salted caramel. Brown cheese was definitely a stand out. I couldn't really place the raspberry rice pudding, just happy it was ganache and not jelly. Coffee wasn't as strong as I remember. Employees were nice, polite, and bagged up our purchases separately in those cute green paper bags. They'll also accommodate requests for wax paper bagged individual macarons. Boxes themselves cost ~$4-6. Would I come back? It's Ladurée! Can't wait to visit more locations.
