There were definitely some bumps in the road as this is my first child and first experience with daycare/ school. All the teachers know my son and are available to answer questions whenever needed. I may not like the answers but they try their best. In the beginning it was rough because my son cried everyday while drop off but it got better with time and I'm happy to say that he's enjoys his time there. Due to Covid parents aren't allowed to go in to the class to drop off and I'd have to say that was the hardest part. They have all kinds of activities such as water play, bounce house, and petting zoo, it's nice that the children get to enjoy all these various activities. Overall it's been a good experience this far.

As a first time parent of a 7 month old during the height of Covid, needless to say, I was a bit…read morenervous about sending my son to day care, on top of the fact that I was dreading not getting to spend every day with him; but working from home while taking care of him was no longer possible. The first few weeks were hard (mostly for me), but the teachers and staff at Shalom made the transition process seamless. After 10 months at Shalom, I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. The safety precautions they have in place ease my mind each day when I drop Jack off; and the joyful squeal of "school" or "April" (his teacher's name) as we pull up in front of the building lets me know how much Jack enjoys his days there. His teachers have taught him to say "more" in sign language, to draw and paint, to sing and dance to a variety of kids songs, and to play nicely with his friends. Shalom is a warm and caring environment - from the top down. The Directors, Michele and Providence, are warm and welcoming and clearly care about all of the Shalom families.
