My child was ABUSED at Tutor Time and we are still waiting on the video even​ though we were told there was a 48-hour turn around time. Let's start at the beginning, the tour. The director Christina should win an Oscar for her acting skills. She will promise you the world and pretend that she cares about your child. We wanted a daycare closer to home so we decided to switch our child over to Tutor Time. Once your child is enrolled, you actually see the horrific practices of this establishment. There is absolutely​ no structure. Children do whatever they want. There is always a different adult in the room. Additionally, they are not compliant with the state laws, which requires 1 teacher for every 5 toddlers. My child was often in a room with 7 other children and 1 unfamiliar face. As previous reviews mentioned, this is a puppy mill that only wants your money. During an 8 hour day, my child's diaper was only changed twice. State law requires that diapers be changed every 2 hours. One of the many teachers​ we saw often spoke down to the children, "you guys are three and you don't know how to place your hands on the wall?" We often walked past the infant room in the afternoon and saw babies crying hysterically because no one was paying attention to them. One day, another baby was biting the edge of a bookshelf as she was teething. No one stopped her from biting the bookshelf and its varnish coating. My maternal instinct knew something was wrong but I just needed my little one to last a few weeks until June. I asked my brother to pick up my little one from Tutor Time because I was going to be at work past my regular schedule. My brother and his girlfriend went in before my usual pick up time and upon walking to the classroom they saw the teacher, Janet, DRAGGING MY CHILD BY ONE ARM ACROSS 5 FEET OF CARPET. THIS DISGUSTING HUMAN BEING ATTEMPTED TO PICK UP MY CHILD BY ONE ARM AND DROPPED HIM. My brother immediately​ told the director, who did not remove Janet from the classroom for another two hours. Christina, the director, was suddenly worried about ratio issues. Compliance is never a concern for them but that day it was. Furthermore, Christina forced herself to cry, in an attempt to show empathy. We were promised the video evidence within 48 hours. We are way past the 48-hour deadline and still waiting for answers. Run far away from this place. I would never want this to happen to any other child. read more

Terrible daycare. Great hours. One doesn't make up for the other. My daughter was bullied. And they said, "kids are mean sometimes". My son was neglected. Apparently he was allowed to roam freely, and not made to participate in activities. They're in 2 different age groups. The kids are basically shoved into a classroom and may go outside for 20 minutes a day (unless outside time is canceled due to cold weather, or hot weather, or weather in general). DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN THERE. They are, like others have stated, the puppy mill of daycares. read more

Best around! I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Tutor Time in Levittown. Everyone at the school genuinely cares about your child and your family. They have made so many improvements to their facility and their teaching staff over the past few years. Unfortunately, not everyone takes the time to compliment on their positive experiences, but I know so many families that have happily sent all of their little ones through the Tutor Time in Levittown. Both of my kids have attended Tutor Time in Levittown since they were about 4 months old. It's a wonderful feeling to drop off your kids and know they are loved by their teachers. To have peace of mind while I'm working is one of the best things to have. My daughter went into kindergarten reading and writing because of the quality teaching that is provided. My son is almost 4 and is now starting to pick words out of books to read himself! The management team is very receptive to any questions...I've never had any issues that were not immediately resolved! read more

My daughter has been attending tutor time of Levittown since 5 months. I've visited many daycares and was impressed by how tutor time was very clean, friendly, organized and most importantly safe. They have cameras setup everywhere, many windows in each class so parents feel comfortable leaving their kids behind and an open door policy. You would be surprised how many legal home daycares require you to call in before walking in. My son who is currently in elementary school has also attended tutor time for school breaks and camp for the past 2yrs and loves it. read more

This specific Tutor Time has a serious issue with a kid/kids biting other children and the staff does NOTHING about it! Excuses are given that the teacher was doing this/that (anything but watching the kids) when each incident happens-teacher was changing a diaper, teacher was preparing for meal time, teacher was cleaning something, etc. My niece attends this Tutor Time in Levittown and I am speaking from a concerned aunt's perspective as it has been multiple bites (5 to be exact). She is being pulled out and will no longer be going there as they were given the benefit of the doubt since "these things" happen on a rarity. They do not care for the wellness of your child. They would rather allow someone's kid who bites everyone to stay and continue biting every child because they want your money. Run away and save your money. I would never recommend this puppy mill of daycare center. Looks can be deceiving it looks great but the majority of the staff is miserable and good luck trying to address the director let alone tolerate the way she speaks. Billing is a ghetto nightmare of a website and they hit you with $30 fee if they don't get their money due to their awful payment system. Walk across the parking lot to Tender Garden. My middle child went there and and blossomed into a sweet, caring, smart little gem. read more

Would you buy your puppy from a puppy mill? Then why would you send your kid to one? The hours are great but the atmosphere is not. Two "teachers" per class yet one is always on the iPad giving updates so things can get crazy. They don't address bullying only the kid that stood up to the bully. The director is so fake it's actually hard to listen to her and the price . There are other options, Tender Garden was great for my middle child. Tutor Time was a big let down. Just because it looks great and it's the most expensive doesn't mean it's the best. read more

My husband and I couldn't be any happier with the friendly helpful staff at Tutor Time. Miss Christina the director was always helpful whenever we had a question. The toys are very clean and the playground is very safe. Definitely recommend! read more

This day care is warm and friendly. I have 2 children that have attended from infants. I drop off every day knowing my children are safe and well cared for. Every time there is a concern, I receive a phone call or a message on the app. My children have learned so much and are more advanced educationally than I ever imagined they would be. Would never recommend. Too bad that after I had my son for almost 2 months I took action and took him out of their version of "pre-K" program. I started to realize at that point that even regular day care at Bright Horizons was much better where my son was showing and telling the things he learned. Teachers are most likely not qualified to teach (try talking to them and you will see), the director of the place has a very fake attitude and I had to call corporate twice to complain about their service. After I went left this place and signed up my son to a certified montessori school in East Meadow I realized how important an opinion from even people you know is. 2 of my friends had the same experience. The montessori school is focused on learning and at a much better price. I paid $260 for 3 days per week with Tutor Time while I am paying $540 with Montessori for 5 days per month!! My son now is learning (not napping for 2 hours during learning time like with Tutor Time), he is bringing new interesting pieces of work he did at school (I never got anything back other than negative reports ). We do homework together which enables him to learn (he brought in 3 homeworks with Tutor time which were on a level of a 2 year old). At Tutor Time they blamed my son for other kids behavior changes - guess what, when a kid his age is not engaged in some activities, he will think of doing anything to be entertained. At montessori school he has positive feedback everyday! No Nap time for 2 hours, no time to do whatever you want, all certified montessori teachers who demand parents attention during the learning process and not just for complaining that a kid should be like a robot listening to their orders at Tutor Time!.. I am glad I only wasted 2 months and not a day longer... 1 more thing.. they charge a ridiculous $260 registration fee... they try to jam a $30 late fee after misinforming me and trying to tell me to read my contract! They send weekly activity letters to have you spend another $150 for some "entertainment" on top of the $260 i was already paying!! ... At montessori they waved the last week of the month and told me to start paying for the following month instead (no registration fee either) .... Anyway you look at it, its a rip of, not a place for kids. I cannot vouch for any other locations but this place should go out of business or get some qualified people to work in such an important role in our kids lives. read more

I visited other daycare & child care centers. I felt most comfortable with this Tutor Time. I like the security and the director & assistant director are vigilant about it & safety. My little one [LO] has been attending this Tutor Time as an infant. From the start, the staff and director has been understanding & helpful. The day before my LO's first day, I was given a no charge 1/2 day - which I realized later it was more for me than my LO! So from the start, I could see that there is understanding & caring! There's transparency in what occurs with the care of my LO so I'm not left wondering about my LO's care. There are daily reports which are helpful, & if I ask for additional information to be written about, the instructors & director are more then willing to comply. Whenever there is an incident [which is very rare], I am immediately contacted & given as much disclosure [understand where there are limits to privacy & such] & it comes in writing also. So I see that incidents are not brushed off but taken seriously, however with understanding. The staff are appreciative of any feedback, provide feedback, are friendly, & provide a warm & safe environment. The director, assistant director & instructors are patient with me [especially me, when I happen to forget repeated names] & my spouse, and are so warm & caring towards my LO. They're also accommodating to my requests towards the care of my LO, which is really appreciated. There are some things that they provide that when I ask my other friends about their child care, they are surprised that these are provided which they do not get. My LO enjoys the time spent there. There are times when I have to drag my LO out due to all the fun that is happening! I can see that my LO is developing quite well, with the projects, crafts, instruction and interaction with the class. The instructors want my LO to do well, & be safe & comfortable. The staff are more than willing to provide suggestions to help with further development of my LO. Highly recommended! read more

Scary place to leave your children at. I dropped off my child today only to be told no more outside lunches allowed because tutor time is wasting too much food. My two year old daughter began attending Tutor Time's Levittown, NY location in February 2015. Since attending she has become proficient in her ABCs, she can count to 20 in English and to 10 in Spanish and her vocabulary has grown tremendously. Tutor Time has provided the structure of a classroom setting with organized, educational instruction that has made a tremendous difference in her tantrums and other typical two year old behavior. The staff at the Levittown location has gone above and beyond to assist my daughter in adjusting to the recent loss of my husband, her father by creating a special project for her during their Father's Day crafts to ensure she was not left out as well as delaying her movement to the next class to ensure she did not experience too much change during a difficult time. They have always acted with her best interest at heart and for that, I am forever grateful! read more
