I visited PC world in Barnstaple after reserving something online on their website. I went to the…read morecollect point and only had to wait a minute before someone asked if I needed any help. The item was available straightaway which I thought was excellent as I expected to have to wait for someone to get it from the storeroom. I was served quickly at the check out. However I noticed another member of staff on the tills having a good chatter with a friend. There are lots of PC's and laptops on display and a few members of staff on the floor to help with enquiries. prices seem quite reasonable.

It is quite a small shop and is difficult to get round if its busy. It is easy to find the section you want as its clearly labeled but if you're looking for a specific game or item it can be quite hard. Prices can vary. You can get really good deals but I find things are a lot cheaper if you shop around. There is a large section of pre owned games but even these are sometimes a bit too expensive. The staff are friendly and helpful and there always seems to be someone on the shop floor asking if you need any help. Great to browse games if it isn't busy!

I cracked the screen on my phone and asked them to repair it; it was a touch screen and only the…read moretouch screen was broken. They managed to break the LCD screen whilst attempting to fix it, and took ages to find one. Whilst replacing the LCD screen, they damaged it internally and now it doesn't work at all. It took me nearly three months to get back in contact with them and now they've told me "Sorry, we broke it. It doesn't work at all now, you can have it back if you like but it's no good" That's nice, £600 worth of phone that's fit for the bin thanks to these 'experts'. Terrible service, incompetent, and very blase. I'd suggest to avoid like the plague, how they can do business like this is beyond me. I am now going through Trading Standards for recompense.

My experience has been different to the other commenters here. The three members of staff who have…read moreserved me over the last week in Barnstaple's O2 shop have each been friendly and knowledgeable when investigating phones, buying a phone, and then addressing an issue with an incorrect SIM card. Perhaps they've had a change of staff, or a particular staff member is at fault here? One thing I will say you can be waiting a while in the shop when it's busy. And if an alarm is going off, it can be incredibly annoying. That being the case, I've left and come back later.
