I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with not only how this place has survived over the years, but evolved into a full-blown sit-down café, complete with sweets and treats to compliment their strong Greek coffee. They even have the fanciest gift boxes you've ever seen outside of Fortnum & Mason. Despite once having been solely a chocolate shop, the interior gives off some posh vibes that invite you to stay awhile. Weather permitting, they also have outdoor seating for some ultimate people-watching. The coffee itself could use some improvement, but overall, it isn't terrible. They serve it with a side of chocolates, so you could chew on the sweet merchandise to cut through the bitterness of the overly-roasted java. Service isn't always the fastest if you're sitting down to eat or drink, but it's more of a "come in and stay awhile" kind of place, anyway. If you are coming in to stay a while, however, expect to pay a lot more than the price of your coffee. My £3.60 oat flat white somehow turned into £6.36 when I got my bill. Considering everything you're getting in one stop, as well as the touristy area it's in, however, you could do worse. They even have a washroom, which - if you're familiar with this part of town - can be a Godsend. read more

Carpo Piccadilly is a must visit while in the area. We loved this cute store so much we visited twice during our week in London. The staff here is delightful as are the offerings. They allow you to sample everything before purchase. The chocolates were yummy as were the savory snacks. The lady helping us told her staff member to give my son whatever he wanted!! He procured an entire chocolate bar (hefty size), and was the happiest boy in all of London =). My hubby and I picked a few items dipped in chocolate that were all excellent. We preferred these to the actual chocolates. Like I already stated, a MUST while in the area. read more

This place is super-cute! Happened to be wandering by and saw stacks and stacks of chocolate as well as buckets full of nuts. It's a really cute family run store - but v high end. Would totally have spent megabucks but they were very generous with samples and I'd just spent £16 next door at the Meridien's pop-up shop run by my friend Aneesh the-chocolatier (co.uk) Anyways, I tried the strawberry dark choc and the nuts in dark choc. I don't know how I never knew about this place before now. I happened to stumble upon it on a walk up towards Picadilly. What caught my eye was the sign saying "Nuts, Chocolate, Coffee", my favourite things :D The chocolate on display inside was something amazing. The sweet smells of dried fruit and rich chocolate. I was in heaven. And just as I thought things wouldn't get better, I was offered FREE SAMPLES!!!! The staff are super friendly, and the chocolate tasted amazing. I love the way you can see what you're buying and watch it be packaged up. Definitley going to head back here to sample the coffee next time. read more

Nice shop, with beautiful displays of chocolate and nuts. The employees were polite and helpful. On the down side, I tried my first Greek coffee here, and unfortunately I'm not a fan. The smell is acrid, almost burnt. The flavor of the coffee is dominated by the sugar added, so the taste is initially very sweet, then falls off to a sour/bitter finish. I'm not sure, but the coffee "powder" (grinds) might be a blend of Arabica and Robusta, and Robusta just doesn't agree with my palate. Next time I'll try a standard flat white and see if I like their espresso better, but for now I'm giving the shop 4 stars and the coffee 2, for an average of 3. read more

This place is amazing. I discovered it by accident during a school trip I was leading. I was walking past the store and it happened to look interesting so I went in. I've not tried the coffee yet. The chocolate is good BUT the all time best that I've gone back for year after year is the nuts. The Greek roasted and sea salt pistachios are the best in the world. They are not cheap, but they are worth it so I always buy a half pound or so whenever I am in London. When I'm on the way to visit family in Germany, I'll make a quick trip in from Heathrow to Paddington then on to Piccadilly if I have a long enough layover just to get those nuts and then back to the airport for my flight. Give them a try if you get a chance. read more

This little store sells high quality chocolates & nuts imported straight from Greece (most of them are either vegan, vegetarian or gluten free). A bit on the pricey side but you pay for the quality and they always offer free samples if you cant decide what you would like to buy. Their normal espresso drinks aren't that great (cappuccino, flat whites etc) and there are much better shops around the area for those. But what they do the best here is their ice coffee (the only shop in the area that does fredo cappuccinos, fredo espresso, greek frapes) & of course their greek/turkish coffee. The only thing to remember is to specify how sweet you would like your drink as all of their speciality coffee drinks you need to add the sugar during the preparation not after the drink is served. read more

Buckets of interesting chocolates, nuts, fascinating dried fruits (I had a sugar infused Greek lemon with the peel on--amazing) and towers of coffee. The service is spectacular, friendly and no pressure. A great place to buy gifts. A few seats to sit down and enjoy a tea or coffee and the ambiance of fine specialty foods. read more

This review is for the karak tea, which they advertise outside. I was intrigued and got some as a take-away. As far as I know, karak tea is beloved in Qatar, where they tried to make their own version of Indian tea and karak is meant to be very milky and sweet. The one I got here was okay. They took their time to make it and I'm sure they put in some effort, but even with the spices, it was a very thinly flavoured tea and nothing like as good as Indian tea. The shop itself looks amazing though, with so many tempting treats around. I will probably be back to try something else because I can't resist. read more

When my mom found out I was going to London, her only request was that I stop by Carpo Piccadilly and pick up 3 pounds of chocolate for her, so I did. Carpo is so cute! Seriously, a beautiful store. The staff was all so nice, and the chocolate. Oh, man. The chocolate. It's pricey but worth it. I had some hot chocolate while waiting for them to wrap up my chocolate (and the wrapping was gorgeous), and it was the best hot chocolate of my life. Coming straight from Greece, the new shop in London is Carpo. Carpos in Greek means nut. It is small, but cosy, and you can sit inside and outside. It offers coffee, chockolates and nuts/dried fruit, and most likely you will be offered a free sample of their chockolates - we got the dark one unfortunately :( :( You will hear people speaking English, and of course Greek! But what I reckon, and so much love is that you can find Freddo Cappuccino! The display of the shop can absolutely be described as "satisfaction". You just walk in and take a look around, walls covered with chocolate, nuts, greek sweets (spotted some halva) and lots of coffee! The arrangement of goods is absolutely divine and there is no way to walk into this store without purchasing at least one thing. I tried their greek coffee (double) as I assumed that will be similar to turkish coffee, which I love, and I liked the greek coffee as well! I think the main difference is that coffee beans are more coarse in greek coffee and they are also roasted less. But overall, a good cup of coffee to enjoy if you like your coffee strong and black! read more

Amazing. I could have spent all day in this place, however my hubby isn't much of a shopper so we made a couple quick purchases. We got a mixed bag of dried fruits, the pineapple in particular being amazing. We also picked up chocolate covered almonds or something like that. I don't remember exactly, but I do remember consuming them rather quickly. I really wish we would have spent more time and bought more items, but hopefully that wasn't our one and only trip to London and we can return. Would be so cool to order online! read more

My favourite place for coffee and delicious healthy snacks! Also perfect for buying gifts- incredible selection of dried fruits, nuts, chocolates, and Greek delicacies such as thyme honey and mastiha pralines. All their produce is very high quality and impeccably sourced. As I write this review I am sitting in my office in London eating one of Carpo's delicious melomakarona (traditional Greek Christmas cookies) which taste of honey, walnut, and my childhood. This place has an amazing selection of nuts, dried fruits and chocolate. I wandered in for a coffee, left with pistachio hearts, dark chocolate with almonds, and a sample of walnut filled fig. All were delicious. Next day, I came back for more! The people working here were extremely friendly, generous with the samples, and made me feel very comfortable. A great place to wander through and try something you've never seen, or buy a delicious something, like pistachios, that you've had before, but probably never at this level. read more
