Very big grocery store with a fair amount of selection - love it. Wish they had one closer to where I live

What you wont find is fresh fruits and veggies, however those are available at the adjacent market (they share a doorway, even) which is open in the mornings and early afternoons daily except Sunday.

we went to the one with a light blue banner. to get a spot, you have to loiter around the bar…read moreawkwardly until someone leaves and snatch the spot. It's all standing space and the guy at the counter won't pay any attention to you unless you shout "perdon" and have your order ready. the seafood was so fresh. in the case of the gooseneck clams, they tasted a little too fresh and from the ocean (if u know what i mean). the grilled razor clams and grilled padron peppers were phenomenal. the bread and herb aoli was a surprising smash hit, only 1€ and a meal in and of itself. the paella was delicious as well, replete with a variety of different seafoods (including the plumpest of mussels) but it was too salty to enjoy without a beer and ranks second in terms of seafood flavor to the paella from bar santa cruz in se. i did avail myself with glee to the large juicy slice of lemon that came with every plate though.
Quality/Quantity - Love visiting the local markets. To see the people and experience and culture…read more Too bad we got here and could not stay. But at least we got to check it out. This was our last stop to visit on our list today. Many bars and restaurants. Fresh produce, seafood, meats, etc. Ambiance - Decent size market. And plenty of surrounding businesses. A nice architecture. It would have been nice if I had more time to visit, too jam-packed of a day. Well half a day, but you know that because you are following. Several entrances. Open 6 days a week from 8am to 2pm or 3pm or when they sell out. Closed Sundays. The fish market is also closed on Mondays. Service - Good, busy. Both locals and tourists here. Price - Competitive market, so very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of foods. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since the 14th century. 1870 when made into a market. 1979 - Refurbished.
5/2/26 FYI.

I come here only when I really have to. IE: if i'm going to primark and need something quickly,…read morei'll come here. I guess the beef I have is when a checkout lady was nasty with me when I told her I needed a plastic bag. 4 times I asked as she's ringing stuff up, then she made a mention how she hated this job without realising I spoke spanish. Then... when I got home, I realised she charged 10 eruos extra on my receipt. Something that wasn't in my bag. I'm guessing when she needs to buy things... she rings them up for other people then takes them home. So she doesn't have to pay. This has happened to me before so i'm guessing that was it. I couldn't be asked to walk all the way back when I realised I was overcharged. But that cow ruined my good mood. ================= Anyways, outside of my 1 bad experience which knocks off stars: I prefer Carrefour, but it's far from home. This store has a lot, but not everything. Prices are so so. Cheap on some, expensive on others. Best to make your own judgement. It's hard for me to write unbiased cause of my 1 experience.

They give you the same amount of ice cream despite the size of cone because they do not stuff it…read morewith ice cream. Ice cream is ok at best: very sweet, not very creamy. Despite your ice cream being 2/3 come, the cone is not good because it is very stale. This is clearly a tourist shop because the quality is very much lacking.
