I explained I was not aware and it has only been about 3 weeks. They don't give paper receipts so they only way I would have known the policy is on my receipt they texted me, which I didn't look at until I realized they didn't fit. The girl never told me when I made the purchase. Regardless, 3 weeks is not a long time and I would have expected a one time courtesy. After all, I am a new customer and one would think they would want me to continue to shop there. Apparently not. The girl called the owner to see what they could do and they offered me 50% store credit! I can't imagine she had even made such a ridiculous offer. Like anyone in their right mind would suggest or accept that. I was literally looking for one size smaller. So over a simple exchange, they lost a customer and now I will share my experience every chance I get about the terrible customer service they provide. I guess is why the store was empty in both visits.

Yikes! A lot changed since last time I was here…read more When you walk through the front door, you'll swear you're on the set of "Hoarders." There is stuff everywhere. You can barely make in through the aisles. I'm not sure what is available in the front room - if there isn't a giant stuffed animal blocking your view, there are boxes in the way. You want to see the jewelry in the front case. You can't. Too much junk in the way. If you make your way into the front side room, it is pretty tidy in there. That's where you'll find clothes, books, and puzzles. I checked the price of a paperback book - $2. Puzzles were between $2 and $5 (some new). If you make your way to the back room there is kitchenware and kids' toys. A used cheese grater that was originally $9 was marked $5. Too much for this cheapo. A vintage looking electrical appliance was $75. I don't know what is was, but that seems way too pricey for any small kitchen appliance. I was interested in some of the china, but it was packed in too tight with coffee cups ($2) dangling from hooks in front of them. Removing a plate would be like playing Jenga with glass blocks. They need to have a sale and get rid of some of the junk that is just in the way. People can't buy things if they can't see them. Do like other thrift stores and figure out a way to identify how long something has been on the store floor, and then automatically drop the price after a month or whatever. I know you want to make as much as you can for the charity, but if people can't see what you're selling, they won't buy it. If you price it too high for your clientele, it won't sell either. You can't raise money for the charity by just hoarding stuff! I do want to point out that the women who work here are very nice!

Beyond the great mission and extremely nice staff, however, it is just a fantastic thrift store. I was drawn in by a beautiful, spindly but sturdy bookcase sitting outside of the shop. Taking into account that the item looked like an antique and was very sturdy, I assumed that that a fair flea market price would be around $40.00, but all that they wanted was $12. Astonished by the deal, I decided to dig around a little bit more. Behind the small and unassuming store front is a veritable cavern of Halloween costumes, ice skates, and more kitchen items that you can shake a stick at. Love it and will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprised and way overspent my budget Prices are cheaper than Amazon on many things and only SLIGHTLY higher on other items. I could have gotten my mini auto siphon for the same price. Bottle wands are the same price. Bungs are a little over $1 each and airlocks are $1.50, so cheaper than Amazon unless buying in bulk. In fact everything is pretty close to Amazon, and in the case of glassware- cheaper. (and safer.) The 1gal jars I use for kombucha are under $7 each. Making a case $28. I paid $20 on Amazon for 2 booch jars. Glass 1gal carboys are also just under $7. You have to buy a growler cap for them separately. Or just get a universal bung. They have cheesemaking supplies, kombucha and kefir cultures plus all the right parts for getting those things fermenting right. I might've found my new favorite place.

She has an extensive collection of every color, shape and size of mosaic tile imaginable and the know-how to help you create a piece of your own. She has studio times T, W, Th and classes and she also has space for tile parties on the weekend. Her hourly rates for studio use are very reasonable especially where she is also there to assist with projects. Be sure to check out her website as it contains many images of her work. I purchased two small rock tile kits as gifts and have already made plans to go over one evening for the studio time! We need more small businesses like this! One with enthusiastic and congenial shop owners who are anxious to help spark creativity and originality. Fingers crossed her business remains successful; she also has an online mosaic tile business as well.
