Looking to complete a grouping of pictures I had recently hung on the wall, I remembered the gift…read moreone of my husband's colleagues had given him years ago: A print of the city of Jerusalem. I don't believe the print is worth a lot, so I wasn't going to spend tons of money having it framed. I found the perfect (inexpensive) frame at Kohl's (see previous review: http://www.yelp.com/user_details_review_search?userid=4YZwIAYFJkinAcjvnXtFtw&q=kohls ) and assembled the picture/frame when I got home. The mat needed about 1/8 of an inch cut from each side to fit properly, so I brought the whole package, including the frame and glass, to Holly Hill Framing. It was there that I realized how BRIGHT the white matting was and decided to re-mat with something in the yellow-brown family that would complement the picture. The person I worked with was very friendly, and I soon found a mat that would work much better than the original. The service person offered to cut a new mat, clean the glass, cover the back, and put on a good hook and wire. I picked up the picture today, and it looks great...one would never guess how little money I spent on the framing, etc., as it looks like a museum piece. All I need is a hammer. Both times I was here, the framers were very patient with the clientele, and today, actually, when one of the women realized she lived down the street from the elderly person she was helping, she offered to drive the finished products to his house, saving him a trip. That's good service. The reason for four stars rather than five is that when I dropped off the print, one of the people was helping someone next to me. She suggested a gold tone frame, when clearly a silver antique one would have been more appropriate to pick up some of the other colors. Maybe I missed my calling.

Excellent Framing - Best Prices I've Ever Seen!…read more I needed some framing done and a friend suggested Moonlight Murals and Framing in Nashua. My request was a little different. Being a cheap Yankee, I was trying to save money. I've been buying framed artwork(prints etc.) at thrift shops and yard sales for years. Pay maybe five dollars(OR LESS!) for something someone may have paid $50 to $100 to buy and have framed. I guessed that if I gave someone the frame and my print to remount in it, it would be a lot cheaper than having a new frame custom made. I wasn't sure if a framing shop would want to do it my way instead of using their own materials(and making more money). I called the shop and Pam(the owner) was totally open to my idea. I had 3 pieces to do - 2 prints to mount in frames I had and A T-shirt I need framed in a frame I had. The 2 print pieces cost $26 to do(for both!), and the T-shirt framing, more work etc., was only $30. So, for a total of $56, I got 3 things "re-framed" and looking fantastic. Her work is excellent, high quality hardware and wire used, and nice paper backing on the back. She included some of her own matting in 2 of the pieces. She also sells artwork and antiques in her shop, and does custom artwork. She can do large murals for homes and business's, and does portraits of pets and people - multi-talented! If you want the framing done from scratch, she has a wide variety of frames to choose from, and as I said, her work is excellent. I've been putting these projects off for years, but now that I've found Moonlight Framing, I'm HAPPY HAPPY! I have a lot of things to "re-frame", and now I know I can get them done quickly, in high quality, and AFFORDABLY!
