Carrie was awesome! Not only are her prices reasonable, she is super friendly. My husband and I are both fairly camera-shy, but Carrie was able to help us get comfortable in front of the camera. She is fantastic all-around, but her specialty is definitely outdoor photos. I was wary of doing photos outside since it was 95 degrees and humid, but she was able to make everyone look great (instead of the sweaty, frizzy mess I was picturing). Carrie was also super communicative and flexible throughout the whole process! She even did her own research on good shoot locations since we didn't have anything particular in mind. The only two minor issues were that she didn't bring the list of family photos we sent to her, so we were stuck with just the standard list. Also, we didn't get our photos until about 4-5 months after the wedding, but when we got them they were so worth the wait! We did both our maternity photos and newborn shots with Carrie. She is amazing! I had a ton of shots planned out for our maternity session and she was open to all of them, making suggestions along the way to make them even better! We were so pleased with how everything turned out that we had her back for our newborn session. I had nothing planned out this time. She used what we had and home and her spectacular creativity to come up with many beautiful shots of our new little girl. She was so patient waiting for our little one to get sleepy enough to take the photos and thankfully convinced both my husband and I that we needed to be in those shots as well. As another reviewer said, we also felt like we were hanging out with an old friend during our photo session at Pike Place in Seattle. We were apprehensive about how our toddler would behave for pictures, but Carrie (experienced mom) put us at ease and even helped us (first time parents) follow our daughter's cues (snack breaks!) to make sure she was happy and comfortable. Carrie was recommended to us by a friend because we didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a photographer to pump out images we see everywhere. We liked her "raw" photos and that she captured our wedding day in a fun and carefree way. In fact, we liked her so much, we asked her to take our family portraits. Carrie did photos for me and my family when my son turned one. I am absolutely in LOVE with the photos. We had a couple of photo sessions with Carrie & she was amazing. The first time we met her, for my maternity session, it felt like we've known her for years. She's fun and obviously very good at what she does. She was very patient with our 3 year old who was running around the whole session and was able to capture great moments. After searching for a photographer in the area I found Carrie. I wanted outdoor pictures with natural light and her work is excellent for that. We decided on Flat Rock Park with all the trees and amount of areas to take pictures. We started at one section and just walked through the woods and ended up at the lake while finding neat spots to take pictures.
