I'm not what you would call a "girlie girl," so the idea of picking out outfits and posing for photos was completely new and a bit scary for me. We started with a phone call and Michael did a great job of walking me through outfit choices and suggestions. The day of, I met him at his studio. He was absolutely delightful. Professional, respectful, funny, calming, and flattering, the perfect combination to calm you down and make you feel good about yourself. He knew exactly what to say to help me relax and get the shot. What I loved most was the process. Due to the way the studio is set up, we could take a series of photos, then go and sit down and take a look at the photos. This allowed for us to discuss lighting, colors, and positioning. Before taking another series. After I choose the photos I was happy with, Michael "finalized them" with some minor edits and emailed me the final photos. Even then he was willing to make some changes. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Something I initially dreaded turned into an amazing and even fun time. I highly recommend Michael and will definitely return for future photography needs.

It was time for me to get some corporate headshots and my employer was not about to spend any money in hiring a professional for me. I decided I owed it to myself to put my best face forward. I searched for portrait photographers with a studio in Springfield, and Michael Epaul came up. First, I will say, that this trend of photographers not having a studio baffles me. I would never consider someone a professional if they did not have a professional work space! That being said, Michael Epaul Photography has a gorgeous, cozy studio, so you don't have to worry about a setting. For the ladies, or anyone interested, hair & makeup can be added to your session. This worked out well because it took the pressure off me of having to arrive at the studio in perfect condition. And then the headshots began. From start to finish, the process was streamlined. Prompt communication via text and/or email worked very well. I was given about 20 pictures to choose from; I picked one and was given 2 versions of it. And don't tell anyone, but....Michael was able to ahem....touch up things about me in a natural way (aka he took away the 10 lbs the camera adds). Overall, very satisfied with this portrait session and look forward to doing business with this photographer in the future. NOTE: on site parking, accepts credit cards, and photographer does more than just portraits (weddings mitzvahs and more!)

The location I chose for our shoot was a little difficult to shoot since there was a wedding going on, but they were able to make it work still and they got the shots I really wanted. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to shoot everything we wanted in our hour time frame since we had outfit changes and all, but we fortunately were able to get everything we wanted out of the shoot in the hour we had. We were beyond pleased with how the photos turned out! We received the photos two weeks from the shoot.

We happened to be in Maui for a family trip and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful beaches/scenery and also remember our time there. My husband and I have a 3-year-old girl and a 3 month old boy. As any parent can tell you, this mix can be a recipe for disaster. On the day of our session, my daughter was in a terrible mood and was very uncooperative. Florian kept his cool and remained kind and patient the whole time. He did everything he could to make my daughter feel comfortable. In the end, she eventually warmed up but my husband and I were discouraged and were praying for just one decent shot. With their many clients and busy schedule, BellEva had a quick turnaround time. They delivered our images within a week. When we clicked the link, we were absolutely blown away by the images. Florian is a true miracle worker and was able to capture around 100 shots. The images were all very beautiful and organic and definitely depicted a typical day in the life of parents with two young kids. He was able to capture the natural and raw emotions of our family. I had no idea what the going rate is for this type of photography; it wasn't a wedding per se, so it didn't have the "formal" feel that you'd associate with wedding photography, but at the same time we very much did appreciate the opportunity to visually document our vows, and Autumn's rates for event photography are EXTREMELY reasonable (possibly even low, I'm not sure). She was generous with her time and attention, and the photographs (which she retouched to take out my undereye circles, my only "vanity" request) are amazing. Jennifer made my super nervous self feel excellent and carefree throughout my entire shoot. I am a very self conscious person and she made sure to work around my inhibitions and get the best shots. She took well over 200 pictures and made the reveal process so easy for me with her patience. My session came with hair and makeup however hair wasn't needed as it can only be styled one way and make up I can't stand but gave her make up artist a chance. While I didn't like the make up (which was most likely solely my opinion because I don't ever wear make up) Jennifer made sure to tone down the make up so I was able to enjoy the pictures she took without seeing the make up I disliked. All in all I found Jennifer and her studio experience to be nothing short of amazing and I will absolutely be returning to do another shoot with her soon. 10/10 recommend you do the same!!
