If you've just received an offer for a free portrait session and are thinking to yourself, "this is too good to be true" let me be the one to tell you, IT IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. You will be coerced into spending thousands of dollars. Not tens. Not hundreds. Thousands. Now you might be thinking to yourself, "if that's true, how come reviews of this business are so high on Google?" That's because this business painstakingly appeals and removes every negative review. As for the reviews that the owner can't convince Google to delete? She personally threatens the reviewer with a lawsuit. That means that this business only appears to have a positive rating because the owner has hand-picked them and removed the many, many negative ratings. I have nothing to gain from posting this besides to warn people not to end up like me: tricked into spending thousands during a "free" photoshoot and threatened with a lawsuit once I complained. I have just received the portraits that we had done of our two dogs. To say we are thrilled is an understatement. The photographer was able to genuinely capture the essence of our two dogs so very well. The portraits are super high quality and are therefore, rather expensive. But these will decorate the walls in our living room for many years to come. During the photo review session, I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Highly recommend. read more

We had an absolutely amazing experience, not only did we love Sarah, but our daughter loved her and the whole team we interacted with every step of the way. The artwork came out beautiful and we're thankful that we were able to do this once in a lifetime experience. Not sure about the person who thought they had poor people skills, we experienced just the opposite. I will say, you definitely get what you pay for. We've had portraits done before at places like JC Penny, and this is definitely more expensive, but then again, the printed artwork we received we've never seen anything like it. read more

This place is basically a Scam, stay away, stay far away, they lure you in with a Gift that seems like Everyone wins! they are agressive, force full and have poor people skills, especially when the photo session is finalized. Dont waste your money, they cant even answer basic questions about the process or the images you will receive, if you ask for basic info you will be verbally threatened and attacked. I will be creating a social media page with testimonials as well as screen shots and links to emails received from Sarah Prall to assure they cannot continue these poor business practices and to warn and inform other potential clients as to what they are getting into. Proceed with caution as you will end up spending a minimum $2k-$5k and the $ isn't the issue, the agressive tactics, poor communication skills and lack of info is the issue when paying such a high amount. let work together to put an end to Sarah's poor business practices and save others from getting scammed read more

Walk away! You will get pulled in with a winning gift. The photos are so touched up that I couldn't recognize my kid. I hope you have a lot of will power to not spend thousands of dollars, on just one photo. The owner is a bully salesperson when she gets involved- guilt trips help with selling the very expensive portraits. Take your child on a trip and make memories. read more

The good: Sarah's photos are absolutely gorgeous, and the prints are a wonderful quality. My kids enjoyed chatting with her, dressing up, and having loads of pictures taken. Even my son, who is usually very uncomfortable when a camera is pointed at him, enjoyed the experience. The not so good: It was not clear upfront just how much these photos cost. We saw information that says you can spend anywhere from $500 to many thousands. Turns out that, $500 will get you one small print. Be prepared for a very strong sales pitch. Yes, the website says "Fine art pieces begin at $500". I spoke with Sarah before our shoot because I was concerned about prices, and she said not to worry, she has many options. However, the options started at $500 per print. There was literally nothing to be purchased for less than this. It was a challenge, as the photos were so beautiful I would have loved to order dozens of them. We had only one chance to view the proofs, on a Zoom call (maybe outside of the pandemic she does this in person, I don't know). The neogtiation process was very unpleasant, and I still ended up spending much more money than I was comfortable with. Despite her assurances that I wouldn't regret it, I do. The odd: Sarah was adamant about the kids not wearing makeup so that "the truth of their natural loveliness" can be seen. However, the final portraits were touched up to the extent that they look a bit fake. My kids have less than perfect skin and I was pleased that Sarah said she'd edit out their acne. However, the final result makes them look like porcelain dolls, not like teens. My daughter was the one who pointed out how strange it was that she was told to look natural, but the prints look rather unnatural. The moral: if you are comfortable with spending thousands of dollars on absolutely stunning family portraits, then Sarah may be the right photographer for you. Otherwise, you might want to look elsewhere. read more

I was lucky enough to win a soulful photo session for my 9 year old daughter with Sarah Prall and I was blown away by the entire experience and with the beautiful pictures. The studio was so sweet and comfortable and homey feeling. The session was wonderful and Sarah was patient and fun throughout the process. She asked us silly questions to get us comfortable and she immediately took away any possible discomfort we may have typically felt with getting our pictures taken. My daughter was very comfortable throughout the process and Sarah was able to open her up to trying different clothing and new poses that she would never have tried with me. My daughter arrived at the session grumpy to give up her Saturday but she left feeling confident and excited about the photo shoot. My wife and I had the pleasure of having Sarah take our maternity pictures and our son's newborn photos. We are absolutely thrilled with the result. The entire experience started with meeting Sarah to allow her to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. She was genuinely interested in who we were and what made us work together as a couple. This was important so she could ultimately display these qualities in the final photos. She has an amazing ability to connect with and understand people in a heartfelt way. This understanding translates into her portraits in a way that will take your breath away. She captured the love between me and my wife and was able to incorporate very specific aspects of our lives into our sons infant portraits. She created a relaxed, comfortable, non-pressure (this was very important to me) setting to view and select prints that we will always cherish. We are thrilled with the canvases and prints we got back from Sarah and will be back to her for all our future photography needs. I spent hours looking at photographer's websites, but was drawn to Sarah's site because of her personal statement and the quality of her photographs. Her photos are intimate and personal- not static, stiff and posed. They are stunning, and I wanted pictures of my family like the ones on her website; that's just what we got. From our first contact, Sarah felt like a friend. She wanted to make sure we all felt comfortable so that our true personalities would shine through in our photos. To that end, she usually meets with her clients in person before the shoot. But as we live overseas and were only going to be in the area for a short window, she FaceTimed with our whole family so that we were not meeting for the first time on the day of the shoot. She asked really good questions- things I hadn't thought of about- like what we wanted our pictures to show the most about our family at this time in our lives. Because we made a connection ahead of time, she really understood what we wanted and was able to make it happen on the day of the shoot. We were only to be in Western MA for a few days in July, and the weather conspired against us. Several times we arranged to meet Sarah, but we had to cancel each time due to rain. In the end, she was nothing short of a miracle worker: she was able to shoot on short notice on a wet, muggy day in July and she made us all feel good and look fabulous. She was totally committed to giving us what we wanted. When it came time for us to see our pictures, we were back overseas, so Sarah arranged a video call where we were able to look through all the incredible pictures she took of us. She helped us make good choices about what prints to order and in what size. Just a few weeks ago, our pictures arrived at our home overseas. I actually cried when I saw them. I didn't want just any picture of our family- I wanted photos that would capture genuine emotion and connection we have together at this stage in our children's lives, and that's what we got with Sarah. Worth every penny, our pictures are gorgeous treasures that we will cherish forever. read more
