If I could do a zero star I most definitely would. Terrible place to live, multiple issues with the apartment and it even flooded as we were moving out. Maintenance was very lovely but the apartment complex is definitely out to scam you out of money. They didn't even tell us about the 2 month move out notice until it was too late so they could charge us an a $6,000 dollar move out fee for "not enough notice". Whatever you do please do not move here under any circumstance. read more

Tiffany, Kelly and Kristi in the office are amazing. Got my husband and kids moved in within 2 weeks of first contact. Had 1 small maintenance issue with a small leak around the sprayer on my sink and Craig the maintenance supervisor was very fast at responding and giving me a new sprayer for my kitchen sink! read more

This was the single worst experience I've ever had trying to rent an apartment. First they don't answer the phone there's no direct way of getting in contact with anyone that works there. Second They Hamden hot about even wanting me to come there to lookAnd I suspect they routinely bait and switch. I filled out an application for an apartment that was one price and then I was told it was $150 more after the fact. I paid the application fee and the admin fee that is clearly posted on their website then I was told I needed to pay an additional admin fee of $200 which is in posted anywhere and was completely arbitrary. It became clear they just don't want me living there. Update I still have not received my money back nor a phone call. This place is really the Update I still want a full refund. $275 read more

This is by far the worst place I have EVER lived. management in leasing office are horrible to deal with. mold is rampant, excessive fraudulent move out charges. maintenance refused to clean mold from water damage caused by faulty dishwasher , I lived with black mold for almost a year before they lied to evict me after my mother died from covid! read more

We did the application for an apartment since December, they change me the move day twice and 4 days before that we had been have to move they call to say "I'm sorry your apartment is not gonna be ready for the day that we told u. This is by far the worse apartments I have ever lived in and I am from Chicago. I moved into these apartments in 2015. I wish I could add videos to this post to show how loud my refrigerator is. It has been this way since I moved in. I am continually told there is nothing wrong with it. The rent increases yearly. The only reason I stayed this long is because I am transferring my job out of state. There are rats around the buildings. Not just by the leasing office. No matter how clean your apartment is you will have roaches and not small ones. These are pictures of the refrigerator they brought me to replace the one that makes noises. I made them bring me the nosey one back. I was told in 2015 that they would replace it as soon as they could. I started paying $850 when I moved in. I now pay $1088. read more

I visited this apartment community in my quest to find a place to stay while on assignment in the area. I happened to find it on Yelp and was heading to another apartment complex when my eyes caught their sign and decided to stop by. It was after 5pm and I was delighted to see they were open until 5:30pm. Dana was very helpful and knowledgeable in providing answers to my questions. It was good to learn that NGHS is a preferred customer to this apartment complex. Finding 1 bedroom in the area proved to be problematic and this place had a couple to choose from. In seeing the model apartment, they appear nice. It's important to note that the complex is gated and this is refreshing. It's common sense that their club house/leasing office is outside of the gates. The places with the leasing offices inside the gate tends to leave the gates open for prospective tenants. Not good...Carrington Park at Lake Lanier seems to be doing things right. They do have on-line services which is great. There wasn't much in terms of reviews on Yelp which can work against a listing. I'm due to move in in the near future and will update my review after experiencing the environment and the process. read more

We have now had NO WATER FOR TWO DAYS. The entire building is out. Carrington Park will not assist its residents with water or showers or toilets!! We have no way to use the rest room or bath. We have n access to drinking water. A water pipe burst and all they say is it's not their fault and it will be fixed when ever. This place is awful. We are living in sub human conditions. read more

Place was nice and had good services 8 years ago. Now , not so. One washing machine and two driers have been broken for over seven years. There are rats all over the complex for over six months now. The pool is not maintained as it should, the water was brown for over two weeks after Memorial Day. The rent they are asking for now is over priced for the reasons stated above. Seven years ago I would have recommended Carrington to anyone and everyone, now NO WAY!!! I will say their maintenance response is still pretty good. read more

Noisiest apartment complex ever due to paper thin walls. The fixtures in the apartments are cheap cheap cheap and poorly put together. ALL of the gym equipment is broken. The gates frequently break. The walk in gate is broken and hasn't even fixed the entire time. You can get in trouble for smoking on your own porch (which isn't in the lease agreement at all). Plus though for tennis courts and a pool. And the staff are friendly. read more

I've been living here since July 2016. I love it! They often do things at the pool in the summer months (like movie at the pool or candy and treats set up for kids during Halloween) they also have breakfast at the gate occasionally. It's just a very involved neighborhood. I haven't had any problems with bugs (which was my big concern). Maintenance is a little slow and they do things kind of sloppy (there was a crack in my wall and I posted a pic on here of how it looked after they "fixed it") but they are very nice and respectful of privacy. The only real negatives I can say about this complex is that the walls are VERY thin and when we moved in, our apartment smelled like an ashtray (which was taken care of) but otherwise I would definitely recommend! read more

Carrington Park at Lake Lanier - Maintenance did a sloppy job on "fixing" our wall - Apartments Near Me - Gainesville, Georgia

I went to look at apts and talk to these people on 12/16/2017. I told them my current residence was literally falling apart and I had to be out by the end of the month. Christmas was also coming right up and I wanted to be moved prior. She did the whole used car salesman act to sell the apartment and told me to go get them 2 money orders for deposits and fees, so I did. We never discussed qualifying factors at all, other than income and rent history. After all this time/effort/money, on the 20th, she told me I couldn't rent unless I had a 13 year old misdemeanor assault charge expunged from my record. It is the only thing ever on my record. The application doesn't even have the word 'misdemeanor' on it and she never mentioned it. She said it was obviously not a problem because so old and non felony but I would have to wait through the long process to get it expunged or no deal. (I had an FBI background check ran a couple months prior and they happily issued me a concealed carry license with my record). So, at this point I had given them $260 just to apply, used 50 bucks in gas and many hours/days of time just to have her unapologetically say "Well, just come get your deposit before our Christmas party at noon tomorrow". I cannot even believe I was going to ignore all the terrible reviews and live here. This is probably a Christmas blessing in disguise. There is no question all the "incompetent staff" reviews are well founded. read more

Living accommodations aren't terrible, but it's noisy. Also, you better hope nothing gets messed up, because it'll take 8 months for maintenance to fix it. And the office staff... I'm not gonna comment on that. They're hard to work with and cut a lot of corners. In the end, you'll pay more money that it's worth and get messed out of some money in some way, shape, or form. read more

CHEAP ceiling fans, cheap paint, broken toilets, and apartments are messy when move-in. Not to mention the grounds and yards very fitly- no upkeep with the grounds, yard full of feces from owners dog, broken gate, and pricey apartment for no reason at all. I have lived better. Carrington Park is a big disgrace. management need to go. They need new management. The renovated apartments are bullshit....overpriced for living in cheaply renovated apartments. What a terrible complex in such a beautiful neighborhood. read more

I read reviews before I moved in and I WISH I WOULD HAVE LISTENED. I lived here for over a year and despite multiple maintenance calls and being very clean, we had roaches the ENTIRE TIME WE LIVED HERE. They are in the kitchen and we pulled out our fridge once and found at least thirty under our fridge. They got in our oven and we had to throw away a blender because they were inside of that as well. We made multiple maintenance calls, in which someone "sprayed" two squirts of a unknown substance in our kitchen and called it a day. That was just the beginning of the nightmare that is Carrington Park apartment. Once our toilet flooded on a friday evening flooding our bathroom floor, carrington park didnt want to call maintenance park over cause it was past 5:00:pm so we had a flooded bathroom untill monday evening. We had multiple noise complaints for the people below us who would play music so loud it shook our floor, nothing was done about this either after continuous calls to the front office as well as the police. If you want a gated community, dont move here the gates are ALWAYS OPEN. My best advice to anyone is to not move here. read more
