Later in the day I wasn't too far away in Winter Haven so I stopped in. She wasn't exaggerating about the grand scale of this antique store. Susan and Diego Barreiro opened their business in 2000. They started working out of their den on Havendale Boulevard in Winter Haven but they outgrew the space so in 2014 they moved to this location. In 2022 they won Best of Haven, Best Antique Store. Treasure House Antiques and Collectibles is located in a former funeral home. There is 10, 000 square feet of inventory and 42 vendors. After receiving a greeting I was free to explore room after room filled with treasures, clothing, furniture and home goods. Some of my favorite discoveries were the vintage holiday decorations, mid century Christmas tree, vintage Pyrex, and vintage stove. Prices seemed very reasonable. Clothes started at $5, antiques and collectibles started at $5, and furniture started at $10. If you love vintage and antiques as much as I do, this is definitely a stop you want to make in Winter Haven.

Across two floors and over 1,000 square feet of space they have the most amazing antiques and treasures. Sherman's Antiques has been in business for over 25 years selling their own items and leasing space to other vendors. They also do estate sales and offer a doll hospital, restoring treasured dolls from the past. I couldn't believe they actually have a basement which is something you hardly ever see in Florida where the water table is so close to the surface. I had so much fun exploring their furniture, housewares, glassware, clothes, art, jewelry, holiday decorations, collectibles, and so much more. I especially loved the vintage casserole dishes. Prices ranged from a few dollars to the many thousands. How negotiable they are depends on it it belongs to them or a vendor. On the way out I spoke to the friendly owners about their marvelous collection. It is a curated history of the 20th century. If you love antiques the way I do, add this to your Winter Haven shopping list.

The space is spread across multiple rooms, with vendors offering everything from toys and furniture to home goods, collectibles, tools, and art. No matter what you're into, there's something here to catch your eye. I especially loved the mix of old and new--everything from the contemporary Temptations cookware I love to the vintage Pyrex I adore. One booth even had an incredible wall of Loungefly bags. Being in Central Florida, there's also a great selection of Disney-themed items sprinkled throughout. Be sure to follow the arrows on the floor so you don't miss the hidden upstairs area--it's easy to overlook and totally worth checking out. You could easily spend hours browsing here. I could spend hours in here and and still find something I didn't see earlier. They have a great selection from vintage toys, home decor, Pokemon cards to homemade jams. The owners were away today (7/21/19); the older gentleman (dealer) who replaced them was a sweetheart-- friendly & helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. (Truly a great guy:) There was vintage furniture here, including antique furniture (100 years or older). There were even some really nice primitive pieces, such as a butler's sideboard (see pic). The glass items sold here are beyond reproach-- so many quality glass pieces (such as Fenton) in mint condition. Lots of Roseville & Hull pottery as well. Impressive collection of glassware & pottery at fair prices! Lots of vintage silver jewelry here, along with some 10k, 12k, & 14k pieces. I saw an extensive coin collection, & many vintage dolls & toys, Disney collectibles, as well as camping cookware, vintage tools, vinyl & CD's, mid century glassware, clocks, & lighting. (I could go on & on:) As someone who has spent considerable time antiquing over the years, this is a shoppe I would visit quite often if I lived closer. There were several rooms of art, home goods, dishes, collectibles, tools, records, toys, holiday decorations, jewelry, furniture, light fixtures, and wonderful smelling candles. There was quite a bit to look at but the aisles are narrow so you have to watch your step. Out back they sell plants. I found a small trinket box in my grandmother's China pattern. While paying I received 20 percent off and the offer of coffee and a slice of carrot cake from the sweet ladies ringing me up. I was delighted them up on their generosity. The great selection, fair pricing, and wonderful customer service makes this lovely shop a must stop in Winter Haven.

According to their Facebook Page they specialize in "antiques, vintage, painted furniture and curiosities." Everything was attractively displayed and there was so much to look at in one large room and another side room. Everything was clearly marked and prices were very reasonable ranging from only a few dollars to much more expensive items. They even had a half off table. Some of my favorite items were an antique school desk, a set of 1950's Libbey wine glasses, an antique muffin tin, and a small ceramic bird for only a few dollars. The sweetly patterned aprons would make a great gift for any cook. The store holds antique fairs on the second Saturday of every month. Check the store website for updates.

Good help is hard to find. G's is an antique mall made up of booths with individual vendors. If you find something you like you can just bring it up front and pay. They had a wide variety of inventory including furniture, home goods, clothing, books, and holiday decorations. There was even a saddle which is how you know you are in farm country. My favorite booth was the vintage kitchen with the vintage Pyrex I love. I found the prices on the Pyrex to be comparable to other stores I have shopped in Central Florida. On the day I visited they had a sidewalk sale set up in the side alley. Ella's is a Dixie Belle Paint dealer. They are also sell antique, vintage, and shabby chic furniture, wallets, Christmas decorations, plants and pots, decorative bottles, funny signs, ornaments, pottery, bird houses, jewelry, vintage cameras, nuts, chocolate, cups, hats, t shirts, toys, honey, candles, jams, jellies, sauces, and dressings. Items can be custom engraved. I loved the delicate bird ornaments and the gift baskets filled with tasty treats. The owners were friendly and chatting with everyone who came in. This store is wonderful for anyone looking for a unique present but beware because you are going to want to gift yourself too!
