They have two entrances one from an interior hallway and another from the outside both were open and welcoming to the patrons that were browsing, they had a great little book nook for you to sit down and browse through your newest selection and even a wall that was dedicated to literature pages from the past I absolutely loved all the selections, the different genres and the trinkets they had everything from your typical book mark to totes mugs, T-shirts, and other stuff that was unique and branded to the shop- support your local businesses!

There are not too many places in 2015 where you can buy 4 paperbacks for $1 and that offer 2/$1 and 2/$2 on selected hardback books. This bookstore is small, but, it is crammed with lots of books at unbelievable bargains, they do carry some newer books and some collectible books at a bit of a premium over the ones listed above but, most people who read a lot like me should be able to find something they like at an affordable price. If you come to this bookstore bring cash, they don't accept credit cards, also, be patient and make sure you count your change, as the ladies/gentlemen who volunteer to run the shop are seasoned citizens and a few times they have gotten my change incorrect (in my favor) and I had to let them know. The shop is located in a bike/walker friendly area with parking available for vehicles at the library, on the street, a parking lot across the street, and a block down there is a free parking garage. There is also a coffee shop located next door and of course the Winter Haven public library is right across the hall.

Went in a couple weeks to order a book. Girl told me it would be in friday or at the very latest,…read moreMonday. I received no calls about it. I call Wednesday because I've received no communication about it. Was told it would be in Friday. Friday comes and goes with no call. Saturday i called, finally spoke to a guy named Kevin. He refunds me for it. Today at 8 am i get a call from them telling me its now in. Apparently the owner/manager doesn't speak to his employees about it. She tells me are you sure its refunded i tell her to have the owner/manager call me. I might have uttered a bad word because i was frustrated. I hang up. Two hours later i'm on the phone trying to get services set up for my disabled son when they were calling me again. I apologized to kevin for the bad word. Instead of accepting said apology i get raked over the coals over it. Keeps telling me about it. Sir, you are not my parent and you need to learn forgiveness. Even Jesus learned how to forgive. Kevin should try forgiveness. It might do wonders for his business, especially when amazon sells the same books he does for half the price. Amazon doesn't care if i say a bad word.

I waited for 1/2 hour and no musicians, so I left. I emailed the owner, but she never returned my email. Rude Christians with no business savvy whatsoever. Number 1 reason why, in spite of all the refurbishing of Downtown, with businesses such as this "Christian" store, Lake Wales Downtown will continue to be a dump.

I went to Intergalactic Plastic on Free RPG Day 2026 and played Daggerheart with Ray Ballard. The…read morestore has a large gaming area, had a broad selection of freebies for Free RPG Day, and Ray was a great GM. My prior experience with Daggerheart was a learn to play session at a convention, and the system did not really grab me, but Ray explained the system well and got everyone into the shared story telling aspect of the game, which is its real strength. Ultimately, Ray ran an amazing session and I left with an appreciation for Daggerheart as a system. The store itself was spacious, clean, and had a large offering of comics, figures, and TTRPG games and accessories. They also have a Warhammer 40K room that has an impressive array of Games Workshop products. The RPG section was smaller, but they had a good variety of RPGs and accessories. I definitely will be back for in-store games and any time I am looking for comics, figures, etc.
