Our goto fish store. Low key with excellent quality fish. Sushi is really good and reasonably priced.

The owners are perfectly nice but there is not enough turnover and the fish is not fresh. NOT AT ALL fresh. Disappointed every time.

Great local place. Reasonable prices, friendly, fresh. Highly recommend. Have some Asian frozen food and Asian spices etc as well.

Great quality fish, clean and professional. The fish is always much better quality than the big stores and prepared to a higher standard.

Excellent fresh fish and sushi. Very clean and I like that they pack your fish in ice so it stays fresh. Nice touch!

Prices are high but so is the quality. The service is first class. We love the guys behind the counter. They will order speciality items for you when requested. The place is clean well lit and we could not ask for more -- well maybe some more clams on the spaghetti! Grazie!

Their prices are noticeably more expensive than other places but no one should compromise when it comes to eating seafood. As someone who has had food poisoning a few times, I like to subscribe to this mindset. From Swordfish and Tuna to Shellfish and Filets, I was told they make the trek to Fulton Fish Market (in Hunt's Point, the Bronx) daily. That's good to know. There's also a freezer packed with frozen selections such as Snow Crab legs and Calamari. I would like to see more varieties of fish ( like Skate and Monkfish) while envisioning an addition of upscale gourmet items/seafood accompaniments other than Soy and Teriyaki Sauce. If you want to be assured of eating fresh seafood knowing you're paying slightly more, check them out. (I bought two Branzini for $31).

They also have a vast amount of goodies, specifically chips, cookies and candy from Japan, Korea and China. There is also a section with stationary items and toys for all ages. The market has a small seating area which is great for grabbing a quick bite or soft serve ice cream, in my case, near the ice cream station. I love black sesame ice cream and put my colleague on to it, and she loved it as well. It was a nice treat on a hot 80 degree day in NYC. This space is in a great location in Cobble Hill, not far from transit and shops. The best part is it's clean and well lit. Will return to try some of their prepared foods and packaged salty items.

Hashi feels like an actual grocery store with aisles of Asian goods. While it's still a bit pricey, it's the next best thing without traveling to Chinatown. My favorite part of their ready to eat hot foods/sushi section. I decided to get a Sashimi/Sushi Combo ($23), which I also got to enjoy right away. They have a dining area for you as well. Plus, you get 50% off at Fujissa located inside with $10+ purchase at Hashi Market (just show your receipt when you order). And don't miss out on the 50% off discount after 7pm for the hot foods/sushi, which is an hour earlier than Ten Ichi Mart.

However, Brooklyn Fare proved to be clutch and absolutely essential during the pandemic, and I now will always have a soft spot for it. While so many stores were struggling to keep basic items on the shelves, Brooklyn Fare was abundantly stocked during the worst point for the country. Fresh meat, herbs, and veggies, dried/canned goods, beeeeeeeeeer - they had it all. The floor-to-ceiling inventory they keep on hand for many items probably helped, but I was truly grateful for this store. Times are fortunately (mostly) back to normal now, but I still go to Brooklyn Fare for the essentials. It's not perfect by any means (make sure to check expiration dates), but they have just about everything you need and then some. I am grateful for it.

Mohammed tried to help by doing it verbally over the phone but there were too many items to deal with. It had been a go-to-shop for me since it opened, but after an accident I can't easily go in-person and now apparently I can't shop there at all or find anyone who is responsible/helpful for the site's customer functionality.
