I have found the staff friendly and clean very good. They sell themselves as environmental too, recycling the water they use and using biodegradable detergents. There's a loyalty card with the 9th wash a free "super wash". read more

Tried to get me to drive on but I saw the staff all whispering to each other. I got out my car to my front plate falling on the floor. Would have put me off the road if lost and seen driving with no registration. No other way home but to drive as live fair distance away. Principle of allowing me to believe all is well and to drive on and put myself at risk of fines or trouble with the law at their hands. I am a young woman standing in the middle of Ibrox streets and feel this is not acceptable. They still proceeded to take my payment. I sat outside for 40 minutes trying to ask for screws and screwdriver. Eventually was told to pull into their valet space for the light while they try figure out what can be done. Eventually after being there a long while I get help putting bigger threaded screws back on registration to at least mean I can drive home safely. LEGALLY. Not impressed. "Boss" came and gave me my money back with a number to call if my plate came off while on the road.

Aqua Hand Car Wash
Ok so today I needed a decent hand car wash and knew I'd seen a few over Govan way so headed across…read morethe water to see what i could find! Aqua is a no-frills car wash operating out of a small yard near Ibrox. A basic hand wash costs just £3 and for an extra £1 they'll do your wheels too! What's quite reassuring is that they do a special offer for local taxi's and a couple came through whilst I was there. Larger vehicles cost slightly more and they also do full/mini valets, vacuum and a T-Cut for £15 which I presume to be a T-Cut polish??? So having been soaped, lathered and scrubbed I was thoroughly hosed down :-) and ready to pay up and leave. That was when the guy said he'd struggled to remove some of the baked on brake dust from my alloys and asked if I wanted him to have another go at them. I was OK for time so agreed and he and another chap then spent another 5-10 minutes working on the front alloys - all for an extra charge of £1! So, next time I need a quick and cheap hand wash - I'll be heading back to Aqua - good job guys! Open 9am-7pm 7 days a week.

Strolling past here in the stifling heat a few weeks past, arriving at a fully air-conditioned Marks and Sparks in a petrol station was truly a moment to savour. It was wonderfully freezing inside, and despite it's small size they seem to cram in everything you could want. My current favourite find is a meditteranean rice and chorizo snack tub thingy, that's on a 2 for £3 offer just now and tastes far more exciting than it sounds. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, I got a full Valet on my car for just £35. I left the car with the team while i took my daughter to the swimming. Killing 2 birds with one stone. I went to the cafe in the Leisure centre afterwards, and was able to drive my car away with protective seat covers 1hr 40mins later. Seats, floors shampood, windows, dashboard, doors cleaned, my car was Sparkling, pardon the pun, thats their name (Sparclean) LOL. I was so impressed, I told all my freinds and family. I dont usually even consider or attempt to write reviews at all, but in this instance I wanted to spread the word. So if your car just needs a wash or gutted inside and out then get yourself along there, its great value for money. And you can do something with your family while your car is done!

Rainbow offer several grades of wash from basic, through to 'Supreme' and even full interior valeting options. They can also do vans, large trucks and even buses. I usually go for the Supreme, which means that you get a high pressure jet-wash and brush clean by hand before entering the automated conveyor wash. I've been in some drive-through wash places where the car has come out the other end with dirty spots still remaining, but with Rainbow everything always looks squeaky clean right down to the wheel hubs and wing mirrors. The water is recycled so they're as eco-friendly as they come, and they've recently introduced a loyalty scheme whereby every third wash is free - bonus! The only thing that puzzles me is why they insist on putting a plastic bag 'condom' over the rear windscreen wiper, which you than have to remove once you exit. It always seems rather wasteful to me, but I guess there must be a risk of the rear wiper being caught in the brush rollers or something?
