I paid for the Hunters Road Force as after getting a balance from the local shop the wheels were still vibrating. The tyre should have been matched to the rim with least possible weights. It wasn't rotated, rim/ tyre not marked or deflated to ensure weight was even across the tyre as it should be with Hunter Road Force. All the guy did was put it on for balancing and put weights on. Why bother? Really disappointed.

I have never had to go back with a leaking valve or faulty tyre. Tyre prices tend to be reasonable, though I don't mind paying slightly more for the level of professionalism evident in this company. Most of their business is on the road so there is only a small area which can't fit more than two cars. The other thing that's missing is they don't do tracking, but I still maintain this is one of the best tyre places in the area.

I have had work done several times but I've also called in many times if I was worried and wanted something checked (brakes, tyres etc). On Thursday, something fell off from underneath my car. I called into Kwik Fit and very helpful young man promptly checked my car over and reassured me that it was fine and perfectly safe to drive. No charge. Thank you Kwik Fit!

There is sometimes a queue but you never need to wait long. They offer all different types of tyres and will get you what suits you for your budget. They only take cash, but if you forget there is a petrol station a 5 minute walk away with a cash machine (which unfortunately charges)

When I returned home I checked their online prices again and found their own online price is £426 for exactly the same tyres. Contacted their complaints department and they have no intention of honouring their online price. Presumably the fitter is on a huge hourly rate as he spent all of 2 minutes entering the details on the computer. Where is the justification in a £140 overcharge? On other review sites they have tried to back this up as covering overheads! Perhaps if they attracted more customers by acting fairly their overheads per tyre would not be near as high! No other companies charge huge variations between their websites and branches. It is even more disgusting that they act in this way as with a burst tyre you don't have too many options to go elsewhere after they tell you the higher price. False advertising...

It was a real find - a small, local garage which believes in good customer service and won't rip you off. The guys who work here are always really friendly - if you just stop for petrol they even come out and fill up your car for you and they're always up for a chat and a laugh. But where I find them invaluable is all the little problems I've had with my cars over the years (I've had very bad luck when it comes to car tyres!) and the fact that they've always been honest, reliable and incredibly good value for money. One time I had a flat tyre, it was just the tyre valve and they charged me £5 to fix it. Another time, I had a nail in my tyre, it cost £10 to fix it. Another time I hit a pothole and buckled my wheel - rather than sting me for a new wheel, they recommended a local reconditioning place that would knock it back into shape for £20, which saved me a fortune. Even when I did need a new tyre, they have really reasonable prices and a new tyre from here cost me £40 (this was about 5 years ago now) when National Tyres wanted to charge me £70. I have no doubt at all that this place will not rip you off or charge you for work that doesn't need done and I can't recommend them highly enough - I will now drive from Shawlands past at least half a dozen other garages to take my car here.
