I was the victim of a recent flying rock that gave my windshield a pimple that will always stay with it. No proactiv. No Oxy. Luckily it was just a chip and not a crack. I was ready to go to those orange tents you see at the parking lots of Canadian tire but with Anna from Frozen spreading her bitter charm those tents are no longer out. My friend had recommended me to the Windshield Surgeon. Made an appointment bright and early on Saturday morning. Came in and was greeted right away. They took a quick look at the chip and estimated about a ten minute wait. There's magazines, coffee and even microwavable popcorn too which is a welcomed treat. After ten ish minutes, keys were given back and that ugly chip is now a smaller scar. TL;DR: quick, affordable place to repair your windows from chips and cracks! Free popcorn!!!

Good communication with the staff beforehand…read moreon the booking, etc. Dropped off the vehicle and told the gentleman in the office I wanted to ensure the staff took care re-mounting my dash cam, since another company on a previous install hadn't cleaned the mount, and the camera fell off within a day; I had to re-install it myself. He assured me all would be good. Well ..... it wasn't. Six days after the install the dash cam mount came off. They hadn't cleaned it and installed new mounting tape. They just took it off the old windshield and stuck it on the new one. I could tell because my own earlier re-installation tape was still on the mount! Again, I did it myself yesterday. I went to the store today to ask them to re-imburse me the $10 it cost for the 3M trim adhesive. I thought it pretty fair. The reception person said the manager was out, and they didn't think the store replaced cam mounts in any case. That was big news to me, since I was assured the mount would be removed and remounted correctly. She couldn't give me $10, saying she lacked the authority! Two things. First, the shop didn't do as they promised; their failings cost me money and a fair bit of my time. Second, the poor receptionist didn't have the delegated authority to give an unhappy customer a measly $10 to make up for an installation error so they could leave satisfied. Management really needs to work on their delegation skills. Overall the installation was good. Everything was good - except for my dash cam not being reinstalled right, and particulary since I mentioned it beforehand. It's the little things that count. This shop apparently doesn't care about them. My otherwise satisfactory customer experience was totally soured by this. Consequently I can't recommend them for your windshield replacement needs.

Visited here twice in the past year to have glass on my fleet work car fixed…read more They are busy here and there can be a bit of a wait but you're still way better off coming here for a chip or crack fix than messing around with Canadian Tire or one of those little pop up tent places. They k or their glass here and ensure that you are coming in with a DRY windshield. Any water or dampness in a chip significantly impacts the ability to seal the glass. They will typically suggest you come in towards end of day to ensure any moisture from the night before is gone. This makes me wonder about places like Seattle or Vancouver - what do they do there? There must be a drying method is rain heavy climates? Crystal Glass does more than just windshields, too! They fix/repair swindle screens and doors as well as custom glass and mirrors for everything in your life from tables to shower doors. I also noticed there were several certificates on the wall for staff with more than 25 years with Crystal Glass. Two thumbs up :-)
