I started calling attorneys to respond as the letter contained an unreasonable deadline. Some attorneys would discuss long rambling legal scenarios only to tell me at the end it's not something they had the time for or not their practice of law. They gave me referrals but the same scenario play out. One attorney I was referred to immediately started questioning me like I was on the witness stand then yelled at me saying I was a horrible witness and would lose everything. The stress of losing what little I had was overwhelming especially knowing that I had done nothing that wasn't within my legal rights to do. With a few days to spare I did another Google search for attorneys and came across the Webb Law Group in Fresno, CA. Jocelyn, I believe that's her name, did my intake and was very thoughtful and professional. After taking my information and receiving the letter I was sent she said she would call me back if they were able to help. It didn't take long and I was finally booked to meet with an attorney. It's interesting how LloydWinter, P.C. proudly advertises the following on their website: "LloydWinter, P.C. will fight for your best interests and won't force you to settle outside of court if it's not in your best interest. In your time of urgent need, we offer aggressive litigation experience with a proven track record of success. When a dispute arises, our attorneys provide wise counsel and strong, knowledgeable legal representation." Sounds reassuring, right? Yet when I reached out with a personal injury claim a very basic form of civil litigation I received only a vague, generic email saying they couldn't help, with no real explanation. I followed up with additional details in case they needed more context to consider my case. No response at all. Then, only after I posted an honest review did they suddenly find time to reply publicly to clarify that they don't practice personal injury law. Funny how they couldn't be bothered to communicate that clearly upfront or acknowledge my follow-up, but were quick to jump in to protect their image. If you're looking for a law firm that says one thing on their website and does something else when you actually contact them, LloydWinter, P.C. may be the place for you. They claim they explained everything. I hope they record their phone calls so they can prove that. My lawyers are already salivating at taking this place on. They wanted to charge me $120 to draft an agreement. This office said there is no contract to take payments between me and them. I never signed anything. I never received one piece of mail from my HOA. They won't give me a summary of what I've been charged for and what fees they are charging me.
