My experience with this law office is they know what they are doing and they are there to help. I needed an attorney ASAP for my moms drug related case in Kings County, I had several consultations throughout the day, trying to find someone and many of the attorneys I spoke with were asking for an astronomical amount of money or gave me an immediate no to anything outside of Fresno. I was beginning to feel defeated until a letter came in the mail with my moms name from this firm, I called, scheduled a consultation at the very end of the day, 4:30pm and Helen took the call. There is a reason this woman has been at this office for over 25 years and let me tell you, SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING!!! She was fabulous, she made sure Adam had the availability for the next morning arraignment hearing, she gave me a very fair quote and I signed the contract right then and there. Adam, I heard, was so incredibly professional in the court room. My mom said when he stood up to speak (via Zoom), the whole courtroom hushed to listen. She spoke clearly and explained that he needed to meet with my mom and they extended her pre-trial. Adam is informative, he is incredibly skilled in his understanding of the law. He appears to also be very well known, I made sure to do my research on him as soon as I was told I was going to get someone other than Mr. Taleisnik. I cannot thank Martin and Kiley enough for everything they did for my son. They not only saved him from prison and a strike on his record. They always answered his calls from jail, went to visit him when needed, and took the time to explain everything to me after each court date so I never felt left in the dark. They even connected us with a psychologist for a small fee, who went to the jail several times to speak with my son and would also call me afterwards to let me know how things went. On top of that, they also brought in a private investigator for an additional small fee. He not only did his work thoroughly but also took the time to call me directly, which showed how much effort the entire team put into helping my son. The entire office staff was always kind and patient, even when I had what probably felt like tedious questions. Helen was especially helpful with the financial side, allowing me to put a portion down and then make payments, which no other lawyer's office was willing to do. It's sad to see when people leave bad reviews, because sometimes it's not that the lawyer didn't do their job it's that the outcome wasn't what they hoped for. Hiring an attorney doesn't guarantee that there will be no sentence. My son still did time, but it was nothing close to what the DA was pushing for. Without Martin and Kiley who knows what would have happened. What really showed me their character was the fact that Martin reached out to me a couple of months after my son's sentencing just to check in and see how he was doing. Then, about six months later, when my son faced another legal issue, Kiley immediately stepped in again to help us through it. He took our money and used it to help other clients, he would argue with me so he could have a reason to quit Because he was already fully paid. If your case is prolonged and charges aren't filed whatever you put down as a retainer is GONE. I was NEVER once contacted for a meeting to talk about anything regarding my situation. I paid 4100$ and attended EVERY court date , DA didn't file charges so I called for a refund as I was told would be discussed if the DA didn't file. There is no discussion as I was told " we don't do that" , I sent emails with no response. Didn't receive callbacks, no communication until asked for the return of my money. I had a very disappointing experience with Sawl Law Group. This was the first time in my life that I had to deal with a lawyer. I learned a lot about the justice system and the lawyers that are involved in this money making scheme. Its all a setup. Listen very carefully to what they tell you. Its not going to be about you or your family. Its about how much money you have or how much your willing to spend. The faster you get the money the faster your case will be handled. There is a fee they charge you first and then if you have to go to trial there is an additional fee. Then they tell you if they dont go to trial you will get the money back. This is where you need to pay attention to your contract. What they tell you and what they write on paper are two diffierent things. Remember your dealing with lawyers. When you are in their office they are working off your emotions. Please dont go in there dealing with them if you are emotional. Its better if you take someone with you. Someone who will listen and question everything. Hopefully you dont go to them at all but if they are your only choice I hope you dont experience what my family experienced. Remember they have been doing this for years. They are all connected with the DA or whoever you going up against. They know exactly whats going on from the time you sign the papers. They all work together the whole system is rigged. This is a money making business from all sides. They know how much time you will have to serve as soon as you sign those papers. They will tell you things in order to get more money. Remember its all about the money not you or your family. Please do your research. They are the only ones who win. In most cases a court appointed judge could do the same things they can with no cost to you. Remember your family member will need your support and money to call or to put money on their books. Besides if you cant make a payment they will drop you and keep everything. They wont help you and could still take you court and still get all that money and never help you. I wish you all the best and please be very careful with Sawl Law Group or any other lawyer you may have to deal with. Im being totally honest and not disgruntled just disappointed and very sad. I know they could have done more but bottom line if we had the money we would have hired a better lawyer. DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM. I paid them $2000 to assist my daughter E. Taylor with her DUI, they did absolutely Nothing. My daughter got the same charge and consequences she would have gotten if she did not even have an attorney. They didn't even show up to one of the hearing dates, they didn't know about the probation date so consequently neither did my daughter so she ended up with a warrant for her arrest. We only found out about the warrant after she was decline for a job due to background check. This firm is a joke. Save yourself some money and get a real reputable law firm. I have heard nothing from them. I've called, left messages, no return cells. I've gotten excuses from the receptionist that don't make sense. This firm is a grab and go ( with your money). Our Experience with the Sawl Law Group was only positive. My adult son was in serious trouble and refused to follow our extended family's advice on how to plea, so as to enable him to get the help we thought he needed. Martin Taleisnik represented us and went above and beyond his call-to-duty in repeatedly meeting with our son and trying to talk sense into him. Because of his familiarity with the D.A.'s and judges, he was able to counsel us as to what to expect and whom to avoid, if possible. All we were concerned about was that my son would get a fair hearing and not be swept aside by the court process. During one court appearance, Mr. Taleisnik was in the judge's chambers for over 20 minutes, presenting the mitigating factors in my son's case. At the sentencing hearing, Mr. Taleisnik gave an impassioned speech to the judge which persuaded the judge to give my son probation. During that speech, a female sitting behind us in court tapped us on the shoulder and told us that she was impressed by our attorney. Regarding the fee. We were quoted a reasonable global fee that would cover anything that would transpire, short of a trial. My son's case was continued almost monthly for 6 months, due to his co-defendant and other court procedures. Mr. Taleisnik was always there, on time, and would speak to us afterward in the hall, at length, about what the proceedings meant and what the next step was.
