Nice to have an off-leash dog park in Breck as sometimes the pups just need to run free! The park is adequate in size but not huge. It does have separate large vs. small dog area. Multiple entrances/exits around the fenced area but no double-gated safety entrance. Seating available in various locations with minimal shade. My dogs enjoyed for sure! read more

If you are visiting Breckenridge with your pooch, then this is an outstanding experience for you and your dog. Here is what I love about this dog park: - First, there is grass and lots of it. The dog park is nearly one full acre, and the vast majority of it is covered with lush, green grass - Second, there are usually a dozen or so dogs at the park, so there are plenty of opportunity for both you and Fido to socialize - Third, the park has dog baggies and lots of trash cans, so it is easy to clean up after your dog. The poop. Yes, there is poop on the ground. You have to remember that this is a large park, and because there are other dog owners around, I can see how an owner may not see his or her dog going number two on the other side of the field. I suggest doing what hikers and climbers do: make an effort to pick up one or two extra turds and help keep the park clean. read more

Great park, plenty of room for the dogs to run, plenty of extra toys laying around. Water on hand, as well as plenty of trash cans and baggies for cleanup. There *IS* a separate run for small dogs. Not sure how new it is, but your small pups will be just fine in their totally separate area. They can see the bigger dogs though a fence, but nobody is getting attacked through it. read more

Awesome little dog park close to down and places to stay! They have water for the dogs and some tennis balls. It was great views and is a cozy neighborhood park. Highly recommend for your time in Breckenridge! read more

Great for the dog to run off some energy, but it didn't seem well-maintained. We went in July while on vacation. The grass was mostly dead and the park was very muddy. There was also only one tented area for dog owners to sit. Not bad, but could've been better. read more

Okay, well first of all... Positives: -large -fenced -water fountain for both people and dogs -shade -sitting areas And now here's the things I don't like about this dog park. 1. Fencing - there's a hole in the fence between a gate and the retaining wall so if your dog notices it, they can easily go under it. UPDATE- I called the city of Breckenridge and told them about this hole, and they've since fixed it. 2. Gates - there really needs to be a double-gate system, I've seen idiots leave the gate wide open waiting for their dog to get in while the other dogs inside the park make a sprint for it outside. My dog has been hit by a car before, so you can see how this concerns me. This happens once a week at least. The gates are also easy to open, and this one gate won't stay shut so you have to put a rock in front of it. 3. Fencing (again) by the retaining wall - there is a retaining wall, and the fence doesn't look like it covers the ground to retaining wall well... it's hard to explain, but it looks like if the dog is standing on top of the retaining wall, it can easily jump over the fence from it. Just keep an eye on your dog 4. Poop - yes, every park has poop, but this is ridiculous. I lived in the ghetto in Denver, and even people in the ghetto dog park were very good about picking up after their dogs. This dog park provides free baggies, and it's always available everytime I go so there is no excuse for not picking up after your dog. Wear shoes that are already trashed if you plan to run around with your dog. read more

Came here during the end of January for a mini getaway and we wanted to do something laid back that wouldn't cost so much one of our activities. This is a cute little spot for adults and children. Sledding of course we bought the sleds at a local store for $12 each the park is free you can go up as many times as you would like. It is also connects to a dog park we went in and played some some of the dog and talk to the owners. I enjoyed it a lot the great thing was it was free!!! We also have a sled to a little girl since we wouldn't be able to take it with us and it was out last day in breckenridge. read more

This dog park is very small and fairly well visited. It's fully fenced so your dog should be safe to run, but with it being so small, we had an issue with an aggressive dog attacking ours, the owner did nothing to deal with there dog. This in and of itself wouldn't ruin the park for me, but with so many other options and bigger options where your dog can get away if need be, I'd say skip this one if you can. read more

I love the size and location of this dog park and we usually go there when we visit Breck. The only thing I have an issue with is the retaining wall running along one end. My dog jumped off of it and landed hard - luckily she wasn't injured, but it is definitely a concern for me. read more

Nothing special but my dog and I had a good time. We drove over from Leadville which will have its own dog park opening in a couple weeks. The people were friendly and my dog had a blast playing with all the other dogs! A little small but other than that a nice park:) read more

While this is a spacious dog park it has a major disadvantage in that it doesn't separate big dogs from small dogs - this can lead to problems such as we incurred when our 25 pound terrier was attacked by a much bigger dog whose owner did nothing to separate them. I don't understand why they don't separate them because they have plenty of space in which to do so. A real disappointment. read more
