The dishwasher and washing machine constantly broke down and, after several repairs, were replaced with used appliances. The ceiling fan and lighting in the children's room failed, and my child had to live without light in that room for two months. Electrical outlets near the leaking ceiling stopped working, but were never repaired. The biggest problem was the leaking roof. We repeatedly notified the agency in writing, but the repair was delayed for more than two months. As a result, massive black mold developed in the master bedroom, where my 5-year-old daughter slept. She began coughing at night, and the mold created a serious health hazard that forced us to leave the home urgently. Despite clear violations of Florida law on habitability (§83.51, §83.56), the agency decided to withhold our deposit, claiming that we failed to provide a 7-day written notice before moving out. Instead of accepting responsibility for uninhabitable living conditions, they are trying to hide behind a technicality. Absolutely unacceptable treatment of tenants, disregard for health and safety, and lack of accountability. I am now filing a lawsuit against this company and will update this review once the court decision is made.

February 25th: I haven't received it back after the deal came apart and the seller released it. Amazing that at this stage the money has not been sent back. March 25: So, it gets even better. After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, First Florida Title called me and promised the money. Then they found this post the same day and called back and told me they would not send the money and that they were going to sue me for slander. I then filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency in Hillsborough County and FFT said they sent the check and responded to the CPA that they had gone to all these lengths to get me the money. They hadn't sent a check yet, or wired the funds, even though they had all the information. They did mail a check dated Jan 24, post marked March 8. And, as of last Friday, they had stopped payment on the check. Choose your Title Company wisely. It can turn into a real nightmare.
