History

Established in 2010.

I started my career as a kindergarten teacher, and have many years of experience teaching every age, including adults! I started Cary Tutor in 2010, and I love teaching ESL English to my students, as well as French and Test Prep. In 2018, I started an online school - Laurel's Learning Lab - to help non-native speakers read & spell American English, pronounce it correctly, and enjoy the journey! :)

Meet the Business Owner: Laurel A.

I started as a kindergarten teacher in 1989-1990 (25+ years ago) and have taught all the way up to high school and now often adult learners.I have a Master's in Education with an emphasis in Reading, and a Bachelor's in English and French. I also have ESL training and a lot of experience teaching young people and adults everything from beginning sounds (pronunciation is my specialty) to idioms and more advanced English learning. I started Laurel's Learning Lab this year to give local and global students a way to study English on their own or between lessons.
