If you like your boat to be in good working order - like everything that was working before you brought it in, and even better when you leave - this is NOT the place for you! Brought our boat in to have the drive change - this cost $4,000 and was prepared for that to be the case. It went in to be fixed because the speedometer was not working; however, the gauge WAS working. When we got it back, it was now the opposite. What, you ask, could be the worst case scenario in a situation like this? YOU GET STRANDED ON THE WATER, that's what! With two young ones in tow, we took the boat out on the water expecting the drive/everything to work after it was fixed, and we got stranded and had to swim ashore, walk around with two young ones, to ask nice/kind/respectful strangers who had cottages near by, for their help. Which luckily, they were happy to do. WHEN we brought this to CAS Power Marine's untrained? non-empathetic? customer service representatives, they were NOT going to take accountability or take it back to fix and sort it out. We had to press them until they agreed to take it to fix the next year (so now). So took it in this year for that to happen, since had email correspondence documenting the entire occurrence and agreement from their rep to take it this year, rather than actually showing any remorse or take ownership and fix it, all they did was diagnose the problem. Uh...the problem I told them about and already knew about. Now when we brought it in this time, for them to fix what THEY broke last year, we didn't have the battery in it as we take it out every winter. Guess what they did? They charged us $60 to put a battery in. IN addition, when I brought it in this time, I specifically asked that they make sure everything is tightened properly before returning the boat to us, and told them about the stranded incident again. The incompetence continued with the response "well I don't know what happened there". No apologies. No offers to compensate or rectify the situation in some other gracious way. When picking up the boat this time, one of the trailer light covers was broken/missing. Wasn't like that when we brought it in. They tried to charge us to replace it. That ain't happening. Had also told them we couldn't pick up the boat until the week after it was ready, and the brilliant and accommodating (sigh) customer service rep said they would have to charge us $33 to keep it there an extra week. Clearly, I'm in the wrong business! $$$ When we did pick it up and noticed the broken light, the example of what is wrong with customer service today, service rep, said that they would deduct the $33 charge from the $60 for the cost to replace the lights - we would owe the balance. Again, that's not happening and I don't expect I will get any follow up. In conclusion - if you are looking for unethical practices and sub-zero customer service, this is the place. BUT if you like your money, and your boat, you'll keep looking! read more

Never again. After getting my boat serviced here for the last 15 yrs and getting it back with grease on the seats, oily rag and garbage left on the floor, water soaked interior carpet and a used water separator left in the engine bay over the years, their refusal to consider a simple warranty adjustment to my shift cable that they installed a year ago has left me with little choice but to go elsewhere with my service requirements. They've become all about the $$$ they can make off you and seem to care very little about customer relations. I've had enough of this place and their 'service'. read more

I spent $8000 on a new motor in February. Now when I ask where the trailer I ordered is, Dan the man has not returned numerous calls. I contacted the trailer manufacturer and they have delivery issues related to vaccinated drivers. CAS could have shown a little respect and told me that. I found a used trailer and am totally happy. I purchased a used 23-foot waterski tow boat last fall. I paid CAS Marine to inspect it then service it after I purchased it. I used it for a short while then brought it to them to service and winterize it. When I launched it last Saturday it began to slowly sink. I took it back to them and they found a split hose in the cooling system and emailed me an invoice for replacing it. When I asked if wasn't the point of winterizing to avoid exactly this problem, the response was that winterizing doesn't help old hoses. When I pointed out that eoven I could tell an old hose that needed replacement by squeezing it and I had paid them to inspect the boat and made every repair they recommended, they still refused to accept responsibility, at one point saying they only had three or four customers with tow boats as if that absolved them from their incompetence. I bought my first boat for my family and me. It needed some engine work so I brought my boat to CAS for service. The man I spoke with was extremely disrespectful and said "I'm not even gonna touch it, I know someone who might but I wont!" then proceeded to scoff at the boat in a pretentious manner. So much for one stop shop! If you don't have $20,000 plus to spend on a new boat, just save yourself the humiliation and find a real shop that puts the customer first. This place is five minutes from my house and I would rather drive two hours away to be treated like I matter. This was my first and last experience with these people! read more
