    Welcome

After my massage therapist mentioned she was volunteering to harvest grapes at a local winery, I had to inquire. It's always been on my bucket list of things to do. I asked what I needed after I knew i could participate. Long pants, comfy shoes, long sleeve shirt and a hat. I showed up a little early giving me time to talk to the owners, vibrant and happy I must add. After another 10+ people showed up, we were given instructions and a tool & bucket. Family helped in the picking so if we had questions we could ask. At lunchtime they served us lunch, homemade by the way. Green and red chili enchiladas, the best beans, quac, dessert and lemonade and great conversation along with the winemakers dog. Sweet dog. The clusters of grapes were beautiful and tasted sweet, the experience was wonderful and walking along the rows in the vineyard along with the explanation of each, provided me with a new appreciation of what goes into each bottle and I will appreciate each sip more. I will help again and I am so looking forward to it.

This was a delightful winery with a nice selection of wines. We came in for a tasting, tried seven different wines and liked them all. I enjoyed hearing about each one, the type of grape used, the type of barrel, and suggested food pairings. I am a red wine type of girl and 6 of the 7 wines were red. We left with a couple of bottles.

Talk about a gem of a find (thanks to Google and GPS). If you want quality wine served by the nicest and most knowledgable man, this estate winery is the place to visit. We tasted about 8 different wines, and each of us bought at least one bottle. We plan to return during our next trip to Santa Fe!

Raymond was a great host. Really enjoyed talking with him about his time in Texas. Very knowledgeable and their wines are very good. Must stop there. You wont be sorry.

The changes they are making at 1629 make it a must stop for dinner! A new menu provides some tasty options like the black truffle and wild mushroom risotto to go along with their signature pizzas. We had a reservation for 11:30am and arrived on time, but ended up waiting outside for about 10 minutes with no staff in sight. We called multiple times for assistance before anyone came out. To make matters worse, the friend who made the reservation was never informed that brunch is held in the private club and not the e restaurant, which caused unnecessary confusion right from the start. Once a waiter finally found us, we were taken to the private club where we were told they only had three brunch menu items available that day. We ordered immediately, along with waters and mimosas. Keep in mind, there were only two tables total--our group of three and another group of seven--so it wasn't busy. Despite that, service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes just to get our mimosas, and our waters were forgotten and didn't come out until another 10 minutes later. Our food took about 40 minutes, which felt excessive given how few people were there. Even more frustrating, my friends' meals came out about 10 minutes before mine. There's really no reason meals at the same table shouldn't be served together. The food itself was just okay. The only standout was the French toast, which was actually really good--and honestly the only reason this review isn't one star. I also ordered coffee and was told they don't carry creamer, which is surprising for a place offering brunch. Our waitress rarely checked on us throughout the meal, which added to the overall lack of service. Between the confusion, long wait times, and lack of attention, this experience didn't meet expectations. I won't be returning.

We parked there since we have a 22lbs corgi who is very friendly and plays well with other dogs. We walked her to "tasting room." Another sign said to check with owner if you have dogs. My husband and I waited outside while my mother went in to check. the woman inside was rude and said you're basically taking your chances if you have your dog around hers! Why not just say no dogs allowed? One of their yard dogs, a very large golden retriever mix, was v very aggressive towards us as I walked back to the truck. It is not a safe place for people nor for dogs. My husband and my mom walked back to the car with the dog while I went in to check on the wines. I asked what kinds of wine they have and the response was "award winning ones." Nothing else, as a paper was shoved at me. I seriously doubt their local resiling and Beaujolais-style red have won any significant awards. I was not offered a tasting. I was only told that I could buy bottles if I wanted. The place was very very dirty and all the bottles were in cardboard boxes, nothing on display. So I did not try the wine. We left and will not return. I will also not try their wines if at any event where they are served. Not really sure how they stay in business. Go if you must, but be aware that you might not be safe and the owners are generally not friendly.

A Hidden Gem for Wine Lovers in Old Town…read more Stopped into Noisy Water Winery while walking around Old Town and it ended up being one of the highlights of the afternoon. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a really cool art-gallery vibe throughout the space. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time sipping wine and browsing the local artwork. The wine selection was impressive--lots of unique New Mexico wines to choose from, and the tasting flights are a great way to try several different varieties. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations based on what we liked and explaining the wines without making it feel intimidating. We also tried a cheese board which paired perfectly with the wine and made the whole experience feel a little extra special. Whether you're a serious wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun stop while exploring Old Town, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great wine, great vibe, and great service. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in the area.
