The Hurricane was delicious, a perfect blend of fruit juices and rum, I could drink these and nothing else, for the rest of my life. My partner reported the Caesar was perfect, from the mix to the spicy bean garnish. Our appetizers were Hush Puppies (of course) and Crab Cakes. The Hush Puppies were little balls of flavour, texture and taste, prepared to perfection. The crab cakes had the crispy exterior and soft, savoury and delicious interior. Love the presentation. I should have taken photos but I was too interested in devouring these little jewels. My partner ordered the Meat Jambalaya, he was blown away by the perfect seasoning, combination of the ingredients, Andouille sausage, smoked ham and chicken. He says he highly recommends this dish. Ordinarily, I go with the blackened fish of the day, but this visit I thought I would try Lou's Famous Fried Chicken. There is a reason it is "Famous". The chicken was juicy and tender, the coating was crisp and delicious. It came with a side of seasoned fries, delicious and tender. We desperately wanted the incredible Bananas Foster dessert but there was no way we could eat another bite, so we finished off with 2 BB King specialty coffees. You have to try one, if you go; delicious! Again, I forgot photos! Coffee, Bailey's and darned if I can remember the other ingredients. They are listed on the menu. All this to say that if you are visiting Montréal - this is a "Must visit" destination. I asked how long he had been open and he politely said two years. Here's the skinny on the food. She served me pork instead of turkey but it was so tender and delicious. I'm actually glad I got the pork instead. Served with plantains, macaroni salad, the liquid gravy sauce and red beans and rice. Pickliz was spicy but zesty. The accompanying rice and pasta salad were good. Portion size is not huge on the meat but as a meal it's adequate and very decent for the price.
