We had lunch here on a Friday afternoon, the place was not very crowded however that did not impact the quality of service or the food!
Tl;dr: it's amazing and you should try this Italian restaurant nestled in São Paulo's Santa Sicília neighborhood. Home made pasta complimented by fresh ingredients and sauces made the same day.
We were sat near a back window with a view of the neighborhood and we're serenaded by Italian music as we navigated the menu. The lunch menu is very simple, comprised of 8 curated dishes. We were greeted by a complimentary board of bread with fantastic sides and learned that except for the bread (from a local bakery who had been in business for over 100 years) is made in-house! So exciting! Wine was poured and it was time to eat!
The bread: Warm and inviting, accompanied by sides of butter, a tomato/fish spread which was delightfully salty, garlic spread (made with dairy) and an eggplant mix that was to die for - i could seriously just eat the bread and that eggplant spread for a meal :-)
Food: My husband ordered Casuncceli a Parmesan- in-house made casserole of pasta, with a blush sauce complimented by Parmesan and basil. It came out still boiling hot and when we say cheesy, we mean cheesy! Wow - he described it as a perfect balance of ingredients.
After discussing my dietary restrictions they made me a special Fettuccini a marinara and muscle sauce. The sauce was served separately, allowing me to control the amount I'd like which was an interesting g twist that I appreciated!
I tasted the pasta first without sauce - it's light and silky with a light saltiness - you can tell they make it in-house! The sauce was full of vibrant mussels and calamari, they explained that normally there's shrimp in it but the fish guy didn't have any this morning, I love that! The cali Mari and muscles where not rubbery and had a great texture.
