I'm basically a Furniture City spirit guide, here to tell you about the journey you are about to go on. Like many furniture stores in El Paso, the second you cross the threshold, an associate will approach you, introduce themselves, ask if you know what you're looking for, ask if you've ever been to Furniture City before, tell you if you need any help just ask, and then they will NEVER leave you. Some are a little more pushy than others and constantly trying to tell you how great every couch is that you look at. Personally, if someone is going to follow me around, I prefer the person that takes a back seat and only speaks up when I have actual questions... not when I'm just chillin' out, maxin' on the softest mattress I could find. And honestly, if I'm "just looking", I prefer someone who doesn't follow me so closely (maybe have yourself a seat on a couch two couches away). But then there's also the associates here that start off super pushy, but after they follow me around for ten minutes they seem to get anxiety, thinking I'm not about to buy (or I'm not buying fast enough) so they're having an inner battle wondering if they should stay with me and hope I buy something or if they should just jump on to the next customer that walks into the store. Those ones wouldn't bother me so much if they didn't start out so pushy. And I get it, they're commission, but I don't always feel like the customer service is all there. For instance, after buying the couch, we realized we hadn't gotten the measurements for it and they didn't have it online so we figured, what the heck... let's just go in and ask for the measurements. As soon as the first associate that approached us, realized we weren't there to buy, he kind of disappeared into the abyss (even though the store was pretty empty and he couldn't have possibly had anything else to do that. very. second.). I tracked him down again anyways. All that being said, Irma is ah-mazing! We actually ended up buying both the couch and table through her. FC has decent to good prices, but she always finds the best deals for us. Awesome! She's friendly and she really seems to feed of her customer's energy. When we walk in with a "We know exactly what we want so don't try to sell us on it (or anything else), it's already sold" attitude, she doesn't play games. If we're being very straight to the point, so is she. If we're walking around lingering, so is she. Nothing ever feels pushy which I appreciate so much. Ask for Irma if you're shopping or browsing here. The customer service at this place is pretty much the most important factor to me, but it's worth noting that the offer a wide variety of furniture, the furniture is quality stuff, their website doesn't show a fraction of what they offer (or prices... kind of ridic), delivery isn't expensive, they offer a 5 year warranty with pricing based on the cost of the piece, and they get your furniture to you as quickly as possible.

This was not their current practice and was approved by an on-sight manager (or asst mgr). The sales rep was told to make a note on the delivery invoice by the gentleman he spoke with. WELL...today, the delivery team, with Premier Couriers, showed up and told me that they could only move the furniture to the curb and would not remove it. Of course, my salesman was off - I was contacted by a manager and he (Alex) was going to contact the owner and call me back; (but the sales rep was also contacted & he called me- apparently I misunderstood what he said - but I had a witness who heard the same thing). LONG STORY SHORT - decided to have the sectional delivered & sofa/love seat moved to the curb. NEVER received a call back from Household Furniture, you need to and received no apology. WARNING: Words are words! If I asked the furniture to be hauled off, that doesn't mean move it to the curb. If notes are to be added, request a copy of those notes!! They weren't on my invoice... But, MAJOR KUDOS to Miguel and Ruben w/ Premier - they were WONDERFUL, polite, and VERY patient!!

Is very knowledgeable and courteous and was able to get the furniture delivered in three day. This store has a great selection of great quality furniture. We came to El Paso without any furniture and he had us fully furnished in three days. It is a great store and was far better than many of the furniture stores we visited. I worked with Monica Soto and she is one of the most professional people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She accomodated me as much as possible while trying to hammer out details while I was still overseas. She was patient every step of the way and made it easy to get everything squared away. On the day of delivery, I dealt with a man named Romo I think. He showed up and offered me respect and courtesy as we went over the paperwork and brought in all the furniture with his partner in a timely manner. He brought out a variety of lamp shades to make sure I was completely satisfied and was a great person to talk to overall. Great person. The day after delivery, I decided I had no need for the dining set and asked Monica if I could trade it for a TV. She said she'd do one better and offered me a TV stand too! It's been several months with the furniture and I've been happy with it all the way through. I'm leaving El Paso soon, so I'll be returning the furniture but I have to say that Cort did right by me from beginning to end and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a more flexible solution to furniture and even moreso to my brothers and sister in the Army, especially if you have deployments, a PCS, or an ETS coming up.
