Went in and purchase $8,000 worth of furniture, then a couple of months later purchased a sofa and two chairs for $11,000 which included lifetime warranty. The sofa cushion had a tear, so i called for the cushion to be replaced every time i called or drove down there, it was in the mail. Pretty soon there was never an order. It has now been four years, and no refund, no and still have a $9,00 sofa with a tear. The upcharge for the warranty, but never come thru, and they are sweet when you come in, but once you have your order and paid for it... your on your own! This is for the one in Sunland Park!! Be very careful with these guys. Once you sign on the dotted line, that's the end. If you change your mind at that time, you only get 75% of your money back. If something is damaged during shipping, you only have 24 hours to report it. Check everything really, really well. They claim there is a wonderful warranty on the furniture, but they won't honor it. We purchased a reclining couch and love seat, and they were delivered a few weeks later. A few days after that, we discovered a scuff mark that went all the way through. We contacted them, sent photos, and called to follow up. They said it was burned and would not do anything for us. They didn't even offer to repair it, help us order a replacement part, nothing. I told "Eddie" Hakim, the manager, that we had planned on buying more things, and wouldn't it make financial sense to help us out to keep our business? This guy doesn't care. He even suggested that there are over 80 other furniture stores in town. In his defense, it probably is a sad job to have. The couches themselves look good and feel good, but once you look underneath, they are poorly made, low quality, the wires are held in place with twist ties, and the electronics inside give off a very strong, unshielded electrical field straight into your lower body, and that is not good for you. This is a review of Furniture City's shoddy business acumen. A very good friend of mine, and his wife purchased a sofa/loveseat combo to the tune of a few thousand dollars. Upon receiving the furniture, they notice that it leans to one side when sat in. Further review shows that it has a broken foot, and a missing mounting bolt on the bottom. When they go back to the store to get assistance, they are met with incompetence, rudeness, and just an overall non-willingness to help alleviate the matter. Went into the store looking for a bedroom set. A salesman by the name of Moe helped us out and gave us a great price. Went back a few weeks later to order 2 pieces we had not bought the first time around. We spoke to a different salesman by the name of Adam. We let Adam know exactly what we were looking for. After thinking we were on the same page, we paid for the pieces, and he stated they would be in the warehouse in 10 days. When the pieces came in, one of the pieces was not what we had ordered. Adam was not very helpful with the situation. He did not return my phone calls or try to listen to my concerns. I had to call the next day to speak to the Manger, Eddie, whom was just as unaccommodating as Adam. After going back and forth, I asked to speak to someone at corporate. I was given an email for a gentleman by the name of Omar. I reached out to Omar, and he handled the situation immediately. He took the time to listen to the problem and found a solution. I purchased over $35,000 dollars worth of furniture from Furniture City, waited extended periods of time for deliveries, dealt with countless employees and the owner, Mike Munhsin and his sons, without ever receiving any resolution on a piece of furniture for my formal dining room. At purchase I paid an extra service fee to assure any damages would be repaired during the first year. The first delivery was damaged and not ever unloaded. The second delivery was also damaged. I've read multiple reviews where they sell you an item which they don't even have & then they either sell you the floor model after promising a brand new item or get you to purchase first then tell you the item has be discontinued and you don't get a refund (exactly what happened to myself. 3. They don't notify customer of changes or discontinues. 4. Policy is full of loopholes in which benefits them after purchase is made. (No refunds) (Sales final after 24 hours) just to name a few. The list goes on but I came in to purchase a bed. I was told that the floor model wasn't available & that I would be shipped a brand new bed. Although I was interested and totally fine with the taking floor model In which I expressed to SALEMANS Jerry he was firm in getting me a brand new bed. All of this was intentional & apart of their scheme because their floor model is discounted by original price by 15%-20%. I went through with the purchase of what I thought was going to be a brand new bed, paid out of pocket the remaining amount that wasn't included in my financed approval amount amount, & paid the delivery fee upfront(also apart of their scam). Once I received the bed everything thing was going well, the bed still looked amazing however it was missing 20 SCREWS AND A LEG. The delivery guys attempted to leave without notifying me that it was missing parts also, but I watched them while they assembled it. At that point I realized that I had been giving the floor model which would have been fine had they been truthful. I demanded that they notate on my receipt that the bed wasn't what I was promised & that it was missing parts. The lie they told me about a brand new bed was just so they wouldn't have to apply the discount to the floor model. I immediately went back up to the store and made them apply the discount to my purchase and apply the amount I paid out of pocket to my financed amount. They continued to lie and tell me that the bed was discontinued. My question was why didn't you notify me the bed was "discontinued" because they obviously knew it was "discontinued" at the point where the pulled it off the floor and loaded it onto the delivery truck with missing equipment. Truth is, they knew the bed was discontinued from the jump, they just wanted to avoid applying the floor model discount so they could receive more money from the Acima Financing as well as receive the out of pocket money that my financed amount didn't recover. Knowledge is power and I was able to get the discounted percentage applied AFTER 2 days. But I wasn't able to get the amount I paid out of pocket applied all because SALESMAN JERRY didn't want to speak to Acima Finance to apply it after I called them right in front of him and advised them of the scheme they were running on customers. This place is horrible. There delivery time is never right. I ordered furniture and paid for it in cash. It too them 3 month to deliver something they said would take 3 weeks. I am a person that likes to shop in one place. After my first order that was delivered a bit late I decided to go back and order something else. That piece of furniture NEVER came in. I've now purchased a sectional and a table from Furniture City and we're thinking about some where down the road (possibly) purchasing another bedroom set from them as well. I'm basically a Furniture City spirit guide, here to tell you about the journey you are about to go on. Like many furniture stores in El Paso, the second you cross the threshold, an associate will approach you, introduce themselves, ask if you know what you're looking for, ask if you've ever been to Furniture City before, tell you if you need any help just ask, and then they will NEVER leave you. Some are a little more pushy than others and constantly trying to tell you how great every couch is that you look at. Personally, if someone is going to follow me around, I prefer the person that takes a back seat and only speaks up when I have actual questions... not when I'm just chillin' out, maxin' on the softest mattress I could find. And honestly, if I'm "just looking", I prefer someone who doesn't follow me so closely (maybe have yourself a seat on a couch two couches away). But then there's also the associates here that start off super pushy, but after they follow me around for ten minutes they seem to get anxiety, thinking I'm not about to buy (or I'm not buying fast enough) so they're having an inner battle wondering if they should stay with me and hope I buy something or if they should just jump on to the next customer that walks into the store. Those ones wouldn't bother me so much if they didn't start out so pushy. And I get it, they're commission, but I don't always feel like the customer service is all there. For instance, after buying the couch, we realized we hadn't gotten the measurements for it and they didn't have it online so we figured, what the heck... let's just go in and ask for the measurements. As soon as the first associate that approached us, realized we weren't there to buy, he kind of disappeared into the abyss (even though the store was pretty empty and he couldn't have possibly had anything else to do that. very. second.). I tracked him down again anyways. All that being said, Irma is ah-mazing! We actually ended up buying both the couch and table through her. FC has decent to good prices, but she always finds the best deals for us. Awesome! She's friendly and she really seems to feed of her customer's energy. When we walk in with a "We know exactly what we want so don't try to sell us on it (or anything else), it's already sold" attitude, she doesn't play games. If we're being very straight to the point, so is she. If we're walking around lingering, so is she. Nothing ever feels pushy which I appreciate so much. Ask for Irma if you're shopping or browsing here. The customer service at this place is pretty much the most important factor to me, but it's worth noting that the offer a wide variety of furniture, the furniture is quality stuff, their website doesn't show a fraction of what they offer (or prices... kind of ridic), delivery isn't expensive, they offer a 5 year warranty with pricing based on the cost of the piece, and they get your furniture to you as quickly as possible. read more

I ended up at furniture city after seeing a kitchen table and chair ensemble. I got a fair deal on the set. They only had 2 chairs in stock-floor models. They made a deal and I took the floor models, as they ordered 4 more. After 2-3 weeks, they found out the line was discontinued. They said they would refund the money spent on ordered chairs. I asked if I could return the now unmatchable chairs I picked up at time of purchase-they said yes. Mind you, the chairs were never unwrapped, never used. When I showed up for refund, I was then told they wouldn't take the 2 chairs back! Some mgr guy said after 24 hrs, no returns. Well.......I apparently own 2 like new dining room chairs, that have no matches available. I tried let this guy know that if he had told me within 24 hrs, I would have taken his chairs back. We needed a couch like ASAP and so we ended up only getting part of the sectional due to them having to order it but it does only like about 7-10 business days. Very excited to get the rest soon! I will preface by saying I would rather go to Conn's as they delivered my furniture within 72 hours of purchasing. Bought furniture June 21st and they told me it would be 4-6 weeks before my furniture is ready. Just moved into a new apartment so I figured it would be a bit slow especially with Covid-19. It is now August 19th and the furniture still has yet to arrive. I called at least 3-4 times for updates and every time I've been told just one more week or it's shipping to the store, then yesterday I call again and they tell me now that it won't be ready for delivery until September 18th. MORE IMPORTANTLY, I made the mistake of financing through them. My total order came out to $2,800 and I put down $1500 so I could pay the rest off over the course of a year. I still have yet to have any payments taken out in regards to the furniture and when I called to ask what was going on they told me I had to check with whoever I financed with, keep in mind they had opened 2 credit cards for my financing. So I get in contact with both companies and neither say I owe them the money, and Furniture City doesn't know either somehow or is just too lazy to check for me. Customer service here is very hit or miss. I had no issues with my first purchase; however, my second purchase was a nightmare. I ordered an additional item for delivery with a previous order and was told they would try to make it happen. I was not informed the additional item was not going to be delivered until the delivery team arrived with my other furniture. When I called the store, they said they would schedule delivery for another day (which was fine). However, they then called me back saying I would have to pay another delivery fee, even though it was their error and lack of communication. Oscar then told me I could cancel the purchase, that it was "no problem" and hung up on me. The furniture I wanted was in stock except for one piece that was there, but damaged, so they did have to order it. I wasn't in a rush so the 4 weeks wasn't a big deal. He said it'd take about four weeks and it took just shy of. Delivered my lamp same day when it was accidentally left behind. The mattress and box spring weren't great but they were cheap so that's the only thing that I would get elsewhere. People were nice and professional and the 0 interest financing is nice too.
