What kind of hotel only provides wifi to half of the rooms?! I guess Casa Lupita wasn't all bad. Situated right on the main square, our check-in/check-out were both smooth, and upon stepping in our room, we found it to have a little more charm than Hotel Arena on the other side of the square. The decor was warm and friendly, and the faucet and shower head were even made of seashells. Kinda cool. But the wifi was really a killer. There were a few nights, when we had to check in with work, etc, and as a result we spent a decent amount of time sitting in the lobby. Also, the mattress and pillows were pretty worn in, and not particularly comfy. While I think that Casa Lupita offers a fairly affordable hotel option in Holbox, I wouldn't say that there were really any stand out positive characteristics to point out. Also, if you're not familiar with the town square, there is a perpetual carnival there and the locals go all night. Make sure that you bring ear plugs. read more
