I stopped by here since Park Guëll had sold out Got to see some of the designs of Gaudi and learn a bit about him. It's worth the €5.50. walk to the house/museum through the outdoor architecture. Plan to spend about 45min between the 1st and 2nd floors. After the museum, walk past the palm trees to hear the noisy monk parquets, and glance over the entrance to see a view of Barcelona over the park. Public transportation buses can be caught either side of the park with an easy walk. read more

We liked it because we enjoy Gaudi and spending time with the remarkable art. It's crowded but since we were tourists too we cannot complain! Not expensive so take time and just savor the experience. I suggest you wear sturdy walking shoes because there are lots of uneven steps and walkways. read more

Who knew such a small house could be such a big disappointment? Unless you're a massive Gaudi fan I can't see why you'd visit his house. It is tiny and there are but a few exhibits if you can even call them that. Some furniture, some small displays and that's about it. The interior has none of the eccentric hallmarks of Gaudi's work and altogether was not a good use of time and money. Perhaps the most comical aspect of it all is that you have to pay an admission fee to enter. Your 5,50 euros are better spent tossed away to one of the several selling selfie sticks in the park. Also it should be noted that the Casa Museu Gaudi is technically not within Park Guell. Oh no, to enter Park Guell you need to purchase a separate ticket. Although Spain has many cultural gems, they will make sure you pay up for every little thing they can unjustifiably divvy up. read more

Just stunning... the views as well as Gaudi's architecture! If you are a fan of Gaudi, this place is a must see. Palau Guell is also located here - Gaudi's design of Guell's home. Wear comfortable shoes if you like to explore - there are lots of stairs and trails involved for walking/exploring around the park. Also, take note of the fountains throughout the park which allows you to wash your feet - no stinky feet allowed in Europe. JK Best way to get here is by bus - they drop you off right by the entrance/gate. Trains will drop you off a certain spot and you'll have to walk a few kilometers uphill. Tip: Purchase your admission tickets prior to visiting and get there right when it opens for better photo ops. Less crowd and you get the museum to yourself. Tip for runners: Bring your shoes and gear... running along the park will leave you in awe. Try to do it before the sun rises or run when the sun is about to set (but that may be difficult coz the sun sets pretty late in Barcelona). read more

Up on the hill, overlooking Barcelona, this was a great view. We actually walked up from Sagrada Familia, about 30 minutes, all uphill. There is a few escalators next to the steps at really steep parts. Once there, there is a free area & a paid area. Paid area cost €8 and you should prebuy tickets as the lines are long & they have entrance times... (we checked in our visit, at 1500, they were selling tickets for 1800) We had bought ours at a TI booth, and walked right in. The paid area was OK, had access to the Museum and I guess worth the €8. We also checked out the free area, which pretty much had the same view, with the paid area in front. There are lots of trails to walk, and TONS of vendors selling trinkets. We walked to the L4 subway to get back to the Placa Catalunya. read more

Great if you like Gaudi (we didnt but still enjoyed it). The buildings were really innovative, bright and creative. However the museum didnt really show much about the architects life and how he had developed his skills. Really touristy, but its a must see if youre in Barca. read more

Gaudi's home, when compared to many of his other masterpieces, is certainly in the shadow of his other creations, especially the adjacent Park Guell. There is some interesting furniture and information on the man who so influenced the look of Barcelona. It is a good detour, and not too pricey at 6 euros, if you find yourself in the area, but it is not nearly as impressive as you would expect considering it housed an architect with such a creative mind. read more

I'd give this 5 stars, but they've changed the format and created time slots for people to tour the park. If I were you, I'd order my tickets ahead of time so you don't get stuck waiting. We had to wait 3 hours to get in and if you're familiar with that neighborhood, there is really very little to do as the local restaurants hike up prices unreasonably. If you've never been, it's worth the 8 euros. read more

The house is in the middle of Parc Guell (that is definitely worth the visit) but compared to the other Gaudi works this one is a real letdown- there's really no typical Gaudi architecture at all, though they do have some of his furniture inside, but I don't find that nearly as spectacular as his houses. You'll be through this one quick and have trouble distinguishing it from your run-of-the-mill small museums. I'd recommend touring the park grounds and skipping this one. read more

One of my least favorite tourist spots. Less detailed and not much to see. The walk up is a hike even with the escalator. Tip: Buy tickets online if you have a scheduled day. When tickets sell out for a specific time, you have to buy for the next time available which can be as long as 2.5 hours! We had to come back at a later time. Also, sun stays out till 10pm so try to come after 6pm to avoid the heat wave. There is a cool gift shop right outside the main exit. read more

I loved going here. We were just here in December, 2013. I loved all the ornate mosaics, on the salamander and all the walls of the main center of the park. I took a million pictures around here, beautiful views. There are a few small houses you can check out, but would have to wait in line. We got some beautiful photos from inside the houses as well. There are paths to walk along as well- covered with pushy street vendors, so beware. Only downfall is that we attempted to get here by train. There is no super close spot, and we had to walk basically up a mountain, it felt like, and through some residential areas, that had me nervous that we wouldn't be going the right way. They could use some more signage directing people that way. It was a really enjoyable experience over all though. read more

The house is no Palau Güell, this is certain. It is far smaller, far less ornate- a small building meant to sit well within the landscaping of the park development and it does that. The architecture is interesting, as is expected, but the interior decor- as has been mentioned- is somewhat lacking and is a series of guesses and sparse exhibits of furniture. For a few euro, especially if you are killing time waiting to get into the ticketed half of the park, it's not a bad deal and it includes some interesting tidbits about Gaudi's life and habits. read more

It's not super expensive to get inside but seeing as the parc is free, it's worth considering skipping if you are not super interested in seeing inside a house with some odd furniture and some history. With hindsight I would skip this, it wasn't that interesting and there are plenty of other treats for your eyes around the parc. If you have a lot of time, then it's worth a look around in here but I'd say this is not an essential thing to see when in the parc, let alone Barcelona. read more

Wow what a waste of time. First of all they don't know how gaudi arranged the place a lot of the house is well this is how he may have had his bed or this is furniture he may have liked lol. Anyway there is a large portrait of ... Gaudis friend but none of him. Also gaudi is kind of weird he died after getting hit by a tram ( at 5 mph? ) but he was dressed like a hobo because he was in to that apparently and no one recognized him so they left him there to die.
